I enjoy an occasional dip into books for children. Sometimes I find humor and a chuckle, sometimes a warmed heart, occasionally inspiration. GOTH MOTH is delightfully rhymed and illustrated, subtly encouraging a fearful, anxious, or shy child to take a bold step and enjoy.

Wow! what a wonderful ride for a children’s book.

So bright and engaging. Beautiful artwork, creative and imaginative drawings and characterisation with a vibrant and delightful range of colour throughout.

The book suffers in part that it was not originally written in English.
However, it has been meticulously translated to maintain the beat and rhythm of the text.
The rhymes are not as easy on the ear but the effort to keep the poetic metre is to be commended. Re-reading the text again, I found the verse not so forced and overall I feel this keeps the integrity of the story as it was intended.

Therefore, I applaud the book. The idea and concept is so clever.
Beyond the musical and cultural ideas there is also a deeper message. Hopefully, this will translate into the minds of our children, for it relates to those who are timid, sensitive and shy.

Through this simple tale, I imagine some focus will fall on our bashful and more introverted natures. It may provide hope and a more positive response in our chatting about the story of Goth Moth!
