I was unable to connect with the two lead characters and pulled a rare DNF. I couldn't make it even half-way through. Perhaps it improved later in the novel, but I couldn't force myself to finish.

Well this was a plot twist because I loved this book! Its romance was adorable, I loved all the character, the setting and the writing!

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and how emotional and fun it was. The story was funny, witty, the mmc was a bit of a jerk but did redeem himself. The fmc was flighty but she did stand on her own and became likeable. I had the privilege reading I have to say it was sweet, charming, tough to read at times because I relate to the mmc. Needless to say, it ticks all the boxes of a romance. Great job!
Thank you NetGalley and Amazon Crossing for the arc!

Did not get to read - have way too many books on the shelf. Need to clear some out. Hope to get to this one in the future though.

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this book and what an emotional rollercoaster it turned out to be. The story was funny, witty and highly emotional.
I liked the FMC and i’m glad she grew a backbone and didn’t let the a-hole MMC(liked him too) bulldoze over her.
Thanks to Amazon Crossing and Netgalley for the ARC!

I liked it a lot. Enemies to lovers is one I really enjoy reading. This is a Rom-Com, Grumpy Sunshine. A good story that keeps me reading at any moment I have free during my weekend.
Thank you to Netgalley and Amazon Crossing for the ARC.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of Plot Twist by Carmen Sereno!

I did not finish this one. I had trouble connecting with the characters and just flat did not like Marcel. The premise was promising, but the execution was lacking for me.

Loved. Enemies to lovers between two writers? Sign me up always. And an online war between the two? Heck yes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Carmen Sereno’s *Plot Twist* is a delightful, multilayered novel that lives up to its name in every way. With its witty dialogue, relatable characters, and unexpected twists, this story is an emotional rollercoaster that keeps you hooked from beginning to end.
The protagonist’s journey is refreshingly authentic, showcasing the ups and downs of life, love, and chasing dreams. Sereno has a gift for creating characters that feel real and endearing, making it easy to root for them even as they navigate messy, complicated situations.
The storytelling is sharp and engaging, blending laugh-out-loud moments with scenes of heartfelt introspection. Sereno’s ability to tackle themes of self-discovery, second chances, and the unpredictability of life adds depth and resonance to the story.
The plot twists (true to the title) are perfectly executed, keeping readers on their toes while still feeling natural and well-earned. Each twist adds new layers to the narrative, making it impossible to predict what’s coming next.
*Plot Twist* is more than just a romantic comedy—it’s a celebration of resilience, growth, and the beautiful chaos of life. Carmen Sereno has crafted a novel that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the magic of unexpected possibilities. Highly recommended for fans of contemporary fiction with heart and humor!

This book wasn’t for me personally. Marcel was unlikable and his presence alone was enough to make me DNF. I wish I could’ve liked it because normally I’m all for grumpy x sunshine but this just….didnt do it for me

While I liked the concept of this story I DNF’d it after a few chapters because the translation felt really flat for me. I’m sure that other English speakers enjoyed it more than I did, and I just had too many other books that I wanted to read rather than try and finish this one.

Plot Twist by Carmen Sereno is a witty and delightful romantic comedy that explores the clash between two very different authors. Siobhan Harris, a debut romance novelist, skyrockets to fame but quickly finds herself in a public feud with crime writer Marcel Black. When challenged to co-write a book to prove the compatibility of their genres, the two opposites must navigate their differences in writing style and personal chemistry. With sharp dialogue, plenty of humor, and a slow-burning romance, Plot Twist is an entertaining story about unexpected connections and finding love in the most unlikely places.

“Plot Twist” by Carmen Sereno is a fun, easy read about two totally opposite authors trying to work together. Siobhan is a bubbly new romance writer, while Marcel is a grumpy, no-nonsense crime novelist. Their back-and-forth is entertaining, and it’s fun to see how their relationship grows along the way. If you’re into the grumpy x sunshine trope, this one’s worth picking up. The story is light and enjoyable, though it drags a little in some spots.

I found it quite original, the whole process in which the two of them, so different and so placed, end up agreeing to write a novel with another love story (and all the tug-of-war between them). In general, I liked the whole process.

I DNF about 3 chapters in.
It wasn't keeping my attention. I was bored of the plot and the characters weren't engaging to me. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me.

In Plot Twist, Carmen Sereno gives readers a grumpy x sunshine trope with writers coming together for a creative collaboration that turns into more. It's a solid book, and I will look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a fun romance novel set in the New York City publishing world. A bestselling debut author gets in a social media feud with the publishing house’s most successful author, who hides behind a pseudonym. A notable influencer challenges them to write a novel together. Can the two authors learn to work together or will the romance tension be too much? A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book when you need an escape from reality. 📚📚📚 #netgalley #netgalleyreads #my2024readingchallenge #bookstagram #plottwist

“For the first time in my life, I want to live a story more than I want to write it. You make me feel like I don’t need to escape reality.”

This unlikely author pairing was so cute and Marcel’s back story gave it so much more depth. I loved how Siobhan slowly made her way into Marcel’s life and home without him even realizing it. They needed this HEA and I am so happy with how it ended.
