I think everyone can relate to wanting to have the ability to speak to animals, and for me this was the most remarkable thing about this book,
The characters were great, the pacing a little too slow.

The premise of this one sounded interesting, but the writing and the voice just didn't engage me. I read for a chapter or two, and realized I just didn't want to continue. I didn't connect with the characters and, given the size of my to-read list, didn't feel like continuing was worth it.
