I'd like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Teen for providing me with an eARC of this title to read and give my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
This book picks up where the last left off. Ethan is back after his journey into fey territory. But things are twisting again and he must put himself back out there to make sure his nephew, Keiran is safe.
I think I enjoyed Ethan a bit more in this book. He seemed to have more depth, probably from all he went through in the first book. There's less of the tough, brooding teen, and more of the man who is on a mission to keep people safe. His relationship with Kenzie is really well done. But the bulk of this book does focus on Kieran, despite it being Ethan's POV. From the title you know Kieran is going to do dumb things, and all this over a girl? Well, teens are stupid at times, as we well know.
Kagawa continued with her world building in this book. I love her writing. She just has a way of truly transporting you into her world and feeling like you are truly immersed there, surrounded by it at all times. Her writing flows really well and helps keep the pacing of the book regular.
As with all her books, we get lots of action to see us through. And this book doesn't suffer from second book syndrome, which I'm always afraid I'll see in a series. But Kagawa really does manage to evoke so much emotion with her words and I really love that about her. Then there's the idea of forbidden love, which I just love because it really does bring a great amount of tension to a book and makes me want to keep reading so I can see how it will all work out (and it better be an HEA).
Finally, hello cliffhanger! It's almost evil but definitely makes me want to jump into the next book right now!

I absolutely adored The first trilogy in the series. I’ve had a group of girls at school looking for fantasy, romance books, and I gave them the first in the series on a whim. They loved it so much that I’ve ordered new copies of this whole series. Thanks!

The world building, as usual, was lurid, cinematic. It was my sixth escapade to Never-never and like every other of my visits, it was a unique experience. The iron traitor was fast paced, action packed little read. I lost the track of time while reading. I was so devoured into pages.

One of my favorite series! Loved this installment, and have reread the previous books as well. This whole series, and this author, are amazing!

The Iron Traitor picks up directly from The Iron Prince, and things look bad for Kenzie and Ethan. This means the reader is immediately hooked back into the action.

This fast-paced read finds Ethan and Kenzie back in the Nevernever and gets reacquainted with characters like Razor.

Difficult decisions have to be made and before you know it you're at the end of the book on a cliffhanger and ready to pick up the next book in the series.

It's a fascinating YA read and one I highly recommend to lovers of the genre.

I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived due to serious health issues

Oh boy, this book suffered from middle book syndrome. It was slow and not much was revealed. And wtf Keirran? [ This moron would burn down the world to save one person and then probably end up getting her killed.

I have a deep, deep love for the Iron Fey series. This was the first time I was introduced to Julie Kagawa, and I've read a ton of her books since. But, if I'm being honest, this is still my favorite series from her. The world she created was unique, colorful, and just fun to read. I devoured this series. Iron Traitor is no exception. I'd read any book from this world. I loved every page.

Another amazing book by Julie Kagawa! I'm not sure what else I can say about her as an author or her fantastic books other than everyone I know has to buy these. I can't get enough of her writing style and her plot lines for all of her books, especially this series!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get into this companion series as much as the original. I will definitely still look for more of Julie Kagawa's work, but this series is a pass for me.

I lost interest in this series after I started reading this book and never got back to it. Sorry.
