This was another super angsty & emotional romance.
Ammo & Courtney are so intense together. This opposites attract age gap is full of talent, jealousy, betrayal, envy, and dark & dirty spice.
There’s sass, snark & banter, fierce protectiveness & healing.
I loved getting to see Ammo, and see just how depraved his appetites really are. Him & Courtney were so intense together, their chemistry was explosive.
There’s sass narration was absolute perfection.

Super steamy rock star romance. Courtney is ready to ditch her pop star roots and go solo and her first album needs the right producer. She is teamed up with a rock god, Ammo, who is not trilled to have her in his studio. These two create so much heat, angst, hate that turns to lust. Once Ammo gets a taste of her he is all in, even if it takes her a little longer to catch up. These two make some beautiful music together.

This was a great listen. Spice unreal and I well read more from her. 4 stars. MMC was an alphahole which is my favorite.

Enemies to Lovers has been my favorite romance trope for years, all the angst and pining, and banter, and Reign makes another great read with this fun trope!
I listened to the audio format and loved how characters Courtney and Ammo came to life.
*many thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the gifted alc for review

I am obsessed with this book!!! Cassandra outdid herself with this story.. You get so much with these characters and their story.
This is a rockstar romance with so much steam that your kindle may melt.
The chemistry between Ammo and Courtney is off the charts. I think they became my favorite couple that has been written. I loved them both so much, but Ammo stole my heart from the first page.
The audio of this book was done to perfection! I loved that Angelina and Corvin did this book. They did amazing. You could hear and feel the emotions when they read it. I listened to this and was not able to stop.
Corvin King is one of the narrators that I will always listen to, and I love everything he works on.
You will be hooked on this book and these characters. I am hoping we get more from the Stuffed Muffins!

I've been on a huge audiobook kick lately, and Courtney and Ammo where definitely a true rockstar, enemies to lovers story in Reign by Cassandra Robbins. I will lead with the fact that both narrators did a fantastic job of bringing these two characters to life. Courtney and Ammo started off on a pretty rocky footing to say the least, and it was interesting seeing them both open up and give in to their attraction throughout the story.
Both characters had pretty dark demons and issues to overcome, which can make some readers a bit uncomfortable, so that's definitely something to consider before reading. It is very sexually graphic and there is heavy drug and alcohol use, so please keep that in mind before reading/listening. That doesn't bother me, so I didn't have an issue or find those topics uncomfortable.
I really liked how the overall lesson they both needed to learn was forgiving themselves and learning to trust again can be so worth it if you give yourself the chance. Especially Courtney. She had grown up early at a very young age and had every reason to not let Ammo in, but man oh man were they explosive when they did. Looking forward to seeing what else Cassandra has up her sleeve next!

As a rock star romance, this story had some potential for me, were it not for the behavior of the MMC, Ammo, in the beginning and the weak character of the FMC, Courtney. Unfortunately, the depiction of both of the main characters was so stereotypically sexist that it infuriated me.
We have the older fboy, Ammo, that gets what he wants all the time, he commands every room he is in. Everyone gravitates towards him, and the women sacrifice themselves on his sexual alter (and also seem to become bi for him). Courtney is supposed to be equally famous, but is somehow still beneath him in their power dynamic. Everything goes wrong for her; she is disrespected by everyone and responds to this by having temper tantrums. She is also sexually inexperienced and needs to be taught by Ammo. Once Ammo magically falls into her pu**y, he becomes obsessed with her and fixes everything for his little damsel.
First of all, I understand that the Ammo is a rock star, and he is portrayed as living out all of his sexual desires, but do we really have to get a live retelling of all his antics and have the FMC walk in on them too? I did not really want to see him being a fboy *live*, I would have believed it, if it happened in the past as well. And do people really behave that way? Women just flaunt themselves at Ammo, offering themselves up for orgies with him being the only man, while Ammo is just evaluating them based on their t*ts and their a**.
So, we have this seemingly sexually open guy, greeting Courtney while getting a bl*w job from two women and then all he can think about when he talks to her is that she wrote a song in which she mentions the word cl*t. So he goes on calling her 'cl*t girl', making fun of female sexuality. Courtney is obviously uncomfortable being greeted this way, which was supposed to be a professional meeting and instead of apologizing for his lack of manners, his crossing of personal and professional boundaries, Ammo calls her frigid. So, on the one hand female sexuality is funny and on the other someone is frigid, because they do not want to be greeted by a man receiving sexual favors? Ammo does not want to be shamed for his sex life, but shames Courtney right from the start. Make that make sense.
Calling Courtney frigid seems to be a theme in this book and a notion (of shaming someone’s sexual life or lack thereof) I do not agree with. Other characters also call her sexually repressed or in need of sexual attention and saying she would be in a better mood, if she had more sex. I find this as offensive as asking women if they are on their period.
STDs are a topic that are of great interest and concerning to Courtney in the beginning of the book, but as with everything else concerning Ammo, she gives up her stance very easily. With Ammo’s sexual history, Courtney is rightfully concerned about this. He tells her not to worry, though, because he always wraps it up. I find this highly questionable because he had his orgy only a couple of days prior from which he cannot even remember the fourth woman joining, so how can he be sure, that he stayed safe. This is also blatantly disregarding that STDs can also be transferred orally. I think if a book such as this one brings up the topic, they should also fully commit and think it through to the end.
Ammo is one of those guys that 'can do no wrong' (in his eyes) but would judge anyone else exhibiting the same behavior. For example, he says that he has 'zero tolerance for acting like an a**hole', judging how Courtney will act towards other, when Ammo has in fact only behaved like an a**hole towards Courtney so far.
Ammo also has an let’s say, interesting approach to trust, and it seems he believes that his d*ck has some magical powers. He thinks he has to establish trust between him and FMC in order to record a good album. In his mind, that means she should trust him fully without restraints also when it comes to her body. So, he walks into her house (high quality security guards right there) where she is naked in the bathtub. He tells her she ‘needs to be trained’ and in my opinion kind of se*ually assaults her (she likes it though). He also forces her to give him a bl*w job. He then says things like 'tell me I own this c*nt', ‘Fu**ing her to be good' and calling her 'pet'. So basically, he is teaching her what he likes, getting her to do things that he wants, making her trust him, but not returning any of it. This dynamic continues throughout the book. Later on in the relationship, he also wants her to trust him and what they have without giving any assurances to her or even defining their relationship.
Some of the s*x scenes regarding their place and timing also made me feel uncomfortable. It made it seem like Ammo and his d*ck are the super cure for any problem the Courtney might have, he just has to f*ck it out of her. For example, he approaches her in her dressing room right before she has a stage appearance o an awards show. Her team then finds her with a broken dress and c*m leaking out of her ten minutes before her performance.
There is an age gap between Ammo and Courtney, but it is never mentioned directly, apart from people calling Ammo “Daddy”. There is a strange power dynamic between the two of them, however, in which Ammo just does whatever he thinks is best and does not account for or ask Courtney's opinions and just bulldozes all over her life. When he wants to talk to her, for example, he just sends one of his minions and tells them to wait until she’ll come with them, disregarding her will and right to privacy completely. He does try to take care of her and as the set-up of her team, for example, was problematic anyway, it works out well for her, but I would not want to see what happens whenever she actually has an opinion. This dynamic would have made me feel uncomfortable regardless of if there was an age gap or not.
A lot of the side characters also made no sense to me. We have Courtney's entire team that is basically bad at their job, reinforcing her victim role even more. And she also lets them walk all over her for no reason.
It becomes obvious very quickly that her publicist, Rachel, is not only bad at her job but also overstepping any and all boundaries. She just pops up everywhere in her house, does she live there or what? She also does not run anything by Courtney and when things don’t work out because of that, for example when there is a scheduling problem, Rachel says to Courtney “What is wrong with you?”. The blatant disrespect from everyone surrounding Courtney just infuriated me and did not add to my listening experience pleasantly.
Melanie, Courtney’s best friend, also gave me strange vibes. She is eating ice cream with Ammo sexually, calling him “Daddy” and even after Ammo and Courtney get together, she keeps mentioning that she had called dibs on him and calling him ‘her husband’.
So basically, this was a book of how to walk all over Courtney and disrespect any boundaries. Things get better in the end, but unfortunately not by any of the Courtney's doing, but rather because Ammo the knight in shining armor saves the day. I did not like the message this sent or the dynamic between Ammo and Courtney.
Something that is a little random: Ammo’s go-to drink is Jägermeister and this is mentioned to the extent that Jägermeister almost feels like a third main character. As a German myself, where Jägermeister is one of many drink options available and not worth mentioning, this was a bit comical to me. Did the author get royalties for this book? Is drinking Jägermeister really such an irregularity that it has to be mentioned this often?
I have not read the previous book in this series and could follow the plot without any problems. It can be read as a standalone, although I have my suspicions (without having looked into it) who the first book was about, so it might make sense starting with the first book anyway.
I liked Angelica Rocca’s narration, but Corvin King’s voice has a rasp that others might like, but for me, it mostly meant that I had to slow down his parts of the narration as they were less crisp compared to Angela’s. The rest of the production was fine, though.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for gifting me this ALC of the audiobook to review.

Holy hot tamales!
I always love to review the book and then the narrator but I find myself in the unique position of being unable to decipher the two because, simply put, the narrator was the story!
This rockstar romance started steamy and quickly hit boiling point. I adore smut as much as the next person but this story had the additional dimension of actually having a rather decent plot. The dynamic between producer and singer was off the charts smoldering but I truly enjoyed their bantering.
Learning about her stalker and how that affects her life, and then delving further into her past and abandonment issues puts a lot of the story into perspective.
For readers who love a good rockstar, enemies to lovers, she-fell first story then this is the one for you.
The audiobook narrator has a voice of pure seduction which only serves to enhance the story.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Check out my IG for more fun @jessicareadsit

This was my first read by Cassandra Robbins and I can’t wait to dive into more from her backlist including Rise and Power. Reading this story has left me so intrigued by character cameos from other titles in Cassandra’s backlist, but this story is a wonderful standalone title. The story opens and you’re immediately sucked into the drama, intrigue, and backstabbing of the rockstar lifestyle. I immediately connected with both Court and Ammo and adored their enemies to lovers romance that burned hot and steamy. Their love story is interwoven with a light suspense storyline that set the pace and really drove this story along. I couldn’t put it down and listening to Angelina Rocca and Corvin King was a real treat. I honestly don’t think this story could have been cast better. Both gave emotional performances filled with passion and I believe they made me love Court and Ammo’s story even more than if I had read it.
When Court’s life implodes and her band breaks up, she decides it’s time for a change and goes solo. Her manager knows just the guy to produce her album, a rock legend who turns out solid gold albums. Meanwhile when an old friend approaches Ammo in his favorite bar and teases him with a soulful demo, he’s at first intrigued. When Ammo discovers he will be working with Courtney, he wants to refuse but he can’t get her words out of his head. What starts out as a rocky and heated relationship, as time passes and both their walls start to come down, that heat quickly becomes an entirely different kind of passion. When Court’s stalker amps up their efforts, Ammo realizes that he will do anything to keep from losing this woman.
This was not a typical rockstar romance while on tour and I loved it even more for it. Ammo and Court’s story was a slow burn love story with high heat from early in the story. Court has so many walls and Ammo pushes and pushes to get her to trust him. I loved how he was all in, sometimes even when he thought he was out. Their story is very much a “heart wants what the heart wants” kind of story and I enjoyed both the build and the suspense plotlines. This story never slowed down and before I knew it, we were at the HEA. I know I want more from this series and can’t wait to dive into book 1.

Wow! I don't think I have enough words for this audiobook! The narrators really brought the story to life. It's like I was engulfed in the world Cassandra created. Pure talent all the way around. You cannot go wrong with a Cassandra Robbins book.

The romance was great but I have to admit- I didn’t love how gullible and weak the main character seemed. Courtney just seemed like she was easily taken advantage of but I guess maybe that’s the point too? Ammo then gets to be her big strong protector. This one was just okay for me.
🌀Synopsis
Courtney’s band is going up in flames. After finding her boyfriend with her band mate, she’s done. It’s time for her to go out on her own. There’s only one man for the job- Marshall Adams. Only, they get off to a bad start when Courtney walks into his home while there are naked women walking around and performing some favors for Marshall.
Regardless, the two come to an agreement and start working together. At first the relationship is really tumultuous but it starts to get better and there seems to be some attraction between the two. When Courtney’s past comes roaring back Marshall proves just how much he cares about her.

This is my first Cassandra Robbins book and won't be my last, I'll have to go back and read/listen to the first book in the series (note: they can be ready as standalones). Narrators did a great job and I'd definitely recommend as a listen. This spicy, enemies to lovers, angsty suspenseful romance is for you if you like rockstar smut!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this ALC!

I enjoyed this one but am not sure that I would buy it now that I've read it. But I do have some ppl to recommend it to!

Spoilers…
Ugh another smutty book that’s written awfully. Hated the characters, literally no plot, 3rd act breakup and RAPE. The way he talks to her should be illegal to put in books. Disgusting and not worth the read or listening to.

It was my first book by this author.
Courtney and Ammo are so different, yet both are legends.
When they first meet in person, you can definitely feel the buzz between them.
Their rockstar romance is so h0t, you will be on fire.

This forced proximity, age gap, enemies to lovers, he falls first, rockstar romance was so good! This book was intense and full of angst, pain, and so many emotions. I absolutely loved the chemistry and banter between Ammo and Courtney
I could not stop listening to this book and the narrators made this book such an amazing listen! Corvin King and Angelina Rocca were phenomenal at bringing Courtney and Ammo to life.
Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my first Cassandra Robbins's book. This is the second book in the Rock God Series. Ammo and Courtney's story is intense, passionate, emotional, and engaging. They are both interesting characters. Corvin King and Angelina Rocca did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

I loved this book! I stayed up WAAAAYYY too late to finish listening to it just to find out how it ended. It started out a bit slow but once it got going there was no stopping it it. Ammo & Courtney are the MC's of this story and are both a bit damaged. Through out this story you get to see them both grown and change into to the people they both need. There is so much going on after about the first 1/3 of the book there is no lull to the story...its one thing after another that just makes the story flow smoothly to the end.
I would say this was about a 3 out of 4 on the Spicy scale.
My ONLY complaint (which I'm sure is just a personal thing) is the constant bringing up of everyone lighting up cigarettes. I get that its part of the lifestyle for some...but it seemed like it was always being brought up and it was not really necessary for the story so just became repetitive and tedious to hear all the time.
Corvin King and Angelina Rocca did an amazing job on bringing Courtney and Ammo to life with this book as the narrators.
I was given a copy of this book to listen to and I am giving this review voluntarily.

This forbidden age gap romance is fast-paced, and such an incredible audio listen. Courtney is in a band with her best friend Roxy. She recently found her best friend/guitarist Roxy in bed with her boyfriend Johnny. Courtney is a diva in every sense of the word, though she has been suffering from depression and feelings of self doubt for years. She decides to break up the band and go solo. Marshall Adams (a.k.a. Ammo) is a thirty-seven-year-old rockstar and producer. He is arrogant, cocky and a bit of a jerk. He is a playboy with a famously large package, and he loves his life. When these two characters collide it is nothing short of sheer sexual tension overload.

4.75 stars (audiobook review)
This audiobook is a spicy rock romance that will have listeners ears burning for more. Courtney is a child star who was used and taken advantage of by those closest to her and it made her fearful as to who she could truly trust. That is until her manager hooks her up with Ammo so that she can embark on her solo career. These two are fire from the get-go. It reminded me of the pull between Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo which led to an incredible pairing to create some of the most incredible music of that time. The storyline flows beautifully. With regards to the casting of the narrators, Corvin King and Angelina Rocca, I have listened to them on other audiobooks but for some reason, I needed to warm up to their voices when they took on these characters. There were parts where Ms. Rocca’s voice came off as a little whiny and the breathless quality was too much. Mr. King’s voice was missing some of the attack quality, the lower range of voice, that a “rock god” should have. I do recommend this audiobook and look forward to more from the author and the narrators.
