I’m still fairly new to Cassandra Robbin’s books. This is my third book by her and I like her books, her writing style, her characters and her ability to create a world of fiction to lose yourself in. Reign, book two of Rock God was amazing!

Tropes:
🔥 Age Gap
🔥 Rock Star
🔥 High Spice
🔥 Alpha, Protective/Possessive Hero
🔥 Forced Proximity
🔥 Heroine in Danger
🔥 Dirty Talk
🔥 He Falls First
🔥 Enemies-to-Lovers
🔥 Undeniable Attraction

Courtney is in a band with her best friend Roxy. After she caught her best friend/bandmate and her boyfriend sleeping together they had been for a while and in her bed of all places! She honestly didn’t think things could get any worse… but that was until news broke that Roxy was pregnant with her boyfriend's baby. What a shit show right?

Courtney is quite the diva, to be honest. She’s currently struggling with depression, self-worth self-doubt and her mental health in general and she hasn’t been herself for a while now. She decides things need to change breaks up the band and becomes a solo artist. She may be a diva but she is such a strong character and beautiful character. She is a spitfire! Sassy and witty! I loved her so much! My heart broke for her throughout the book. She has been through a lot in her life, she’s been hurting and she has always had a wall up because she finds it hard to let anyone in, but she is trying and you can see her growth throughout the book. She started to fight and find herself, she started to learn new things about herself and others along the way.

Ammo? Well god damn… he is truly one of a kind. I couldn’t get enough of him. Not going to lie, I’m obsessed with him. He was a dirty-mouthed, alpha-hole, rockstar and producer who could get what he wanted when he wanted it. He’s a cocky bastard that you love to hate and hate to love! Ammo hears a demo and is intrigued, but when he finds out it’s Courtney, he doesn’t want anything to do with her and her shit show of life! Ammo finally agrees to produce the album for Courtney but she has to agree not to make any drama.

These two were hot like fire. They were wild, messy, dirty and their tension and chemistry were off the charts. Courtney and Ammo were intense, to say the least. If you love rockstar, enemies-to-lovers and a whole lot of steam, this book is for you!

5 STARS!

I enjoyed this audiobook. The narrators were amazing! The male voice was PERFECT!
I had read most of this authors book so seeing those characters was nice. I could relate to both characters and the way they felt. Their attraction and chemistry was fire!

Reign is the 2nd book in the Rock God series and it was fantastic. Complex characters, unexpected twists and turns, suspense, steam and so much more, this novel had me hooked and unable to put it down.

This enemies-to-lovers rockstar romance is Ammo and Courtney's story and omg...these two had this book on fire.

The animosity was there from the start, but so was the chemistry. The steamy scenes were erotic and intense and Ammo's dirty talk was so on point I was fully captivated with these two I couldn't wait to see where their story would take us.

The suspense element added another layer to this story and it had me at the edge of my seat at times. There was a large cast of secondary characters some I loved, some I disliked but they all added sometimes extra to the novel.

This is a story about betrayal, obsession, control, letting go of past hurts, and love. It was messy, filthy, tension filled and well-written. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to lovers of rockstar romance

🎧 I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Corvin King and Angelina Rocca. These two did a fabulous job giving life to these characters. Their voices were clear and understandable and perfectly suited to the characters. They brought the story to life and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

It’s a clash of the rockstar egos in Reign when Ammo Adam’s, guitarist with The Stud Muffins – lobe this name – agrees to produce the solo album of former child star and rock princess Courtney Falcon who’s walked away from her own band The Broken Vixens after a brutal betrayal from her best friend and fellow band member. Cassandra Robbins has the knack of writing heroes that you will love to hate, and Ammo is right up there when his initial meeting with Courtney is when she walks in on him mid orgy. There were fireworks right from the start with this pair. He thinks she’s a spoilt brat while she thinks he’s a complete alpha hole, but contracts were signed so they’ve no choice but to work together. Their sexual tension and chemistry was electrifying as they fought and screamed then jumped each other like two cats tied in a sack. Surprisingly Ammo fell first as he got to know the real Courtney beneath the persona, but she has serious trust issues especially after what had happened with her band plus his reputation wasn’t exactly easy to get past. With a back story involving threats against Courtney involving a stalker and cameos from some familiar characters, Reign sizzled from the start, and I swear I felt my kindle heat up as I was reading. If you’re a fan of wild, crazy rockstar romances then Reign is the book for you.

Dual narration was provided by Corbin King and Angelina Rocca, both of whom were new to me narrators, and I loved their performances here. Their voices fitted the characters of Ammo and Courtney perfectly, sounding exactly as I had imagined they would. I would have no hesitation in listening to an audiobook narrated by either of them in future.

I literally got approved for this one and immediately went and downloaded it to listen. I finished this in a single listen, it was THAT GOOD. I am a sucker for enemies to lovers so I knew I was going to love this one. I really enjoyed the characters and their chemistry. I felt like Courtney was super relatable with her insecurities, which were also irritating at times.

This is book 2 in the Rock God series, but I read it as a standalone (not having read book one first). I will be going back to read book one though. If you’ve read any of Cassandra’s other books, there is a connection to the Power Brothers and I absolutely geeked out! Love it!!

The narrators really helped being the characters and the story to life. There was emotion and feeling in the way that they read the story. It truly made a difference and gave that enemies to lovers/rockstar vibes.

A special thank you to Cassandra Robbins, Dreamscape Media, and Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh, my, Ammo! Wow! -picks my jaw up off the floor-

This book has it all! Romance, steam (so much steam), suspense, enemies to lovers, lots of "mine", healing, age gap (23 and 37), and found family. This was such a wild ride. Spice and chemistry and lots of hate right off the bat! They fall kinda at the same time (neither admits it, though) and he for sure falls harder. I wouldn't categorize this as insta-love because the story didn't seem rushed and it seemed like a lot of time passed, but in reality it was just a few months, so testament to Robbins' story telling in how it was kinda instant but didn't seem like it. Development happened and also there was so much going on in their lives that it just seemed like longer had passed.

Corvin King and Angela Rocca did a great job! Angela's voice seemed a little whiny and exasperated a little at times, but it fit with Courtney's character. Corvin King...this is the first thing I've heard him in, and his velvety voice has sky rocketed to one of my favorites. I could listen to him read the phone book and I would be happy. God, his voice does something to me.

I'm SO HAPPY that I found this book (recommended to me) and that I did the audio instead of reading it (thanks, Corvin!) because I cannot wait to go back and read book 1 and keep going with this series.

Thank you, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC. These are my honest opinions.

Thank you NetGalley and the Publisher for an advance audio-copy of Reign, in exchange of an honest review.

In the tempestuous realm of rock and roll, REIGN emerges as a captivating tale that transports readers into a world of excess and intrigue. Despite its brevity, this electric novel delivers a whirlwind of emotions and leaves an indelible mark on the soul. The audio adaptation, narrated by the mellifluous voices of Corvin King and Angelina Rocca, brings the story to life with unmatched authenticity. King's gritty performance as the enigmatic rock legend Ammo perfectly captures his tormented past and magnetic persona, while Rocca's portrayal of Courtney, the rising star caught in a web of deceit, exudes both vulnerability and determination. The central conflict that propels the plot forward is a tantalizing dance of betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness. Courtney finds herself at a crossroads, her music career threatened by a scandalous revelation. In a desperate attempt to salvage her reputation, she enlists the help of Ammo, a seasoned producer with a reputation for both brilliance and volatility. As they embark on the creation of Courtney's next album, their initial animosity gives way to a simmering attraction that neither can deny. Ammo's transformation from playboy to smitten admirer is a testament to the power of genuine connection, while Courtney's resilience in the face of adversity showcases her inner strength. REIGN is a masterpiece of storytelling that explores the complexities of human emotion and the transformative nature of love. The characters are vividly drawn, their motivations and desires laid bare for the reader's scrutiny. The pacing is brisk, propelling the narrative forward with unrelenting momentum, while the prose is sharp and evocative, painting a vivid picture of the glamorous yet treacherous world of rock and roll. Ultimately, REIGN is a love story that transcends the boundaries of genre. It is a testament to the enduring power of forgiveness and the indomitable spirit of those who dare to love in the face of adversity. If you seek a read that will ignite your senses and leave you craving more, then immerse yourself in the world of REIGN.

This book was such a great listen. I loved the characters and their story. The enemies to lovers and rockstar vibes paired with a little suspense were so good! The cherry on top was the connection to the Powers Brothers! I do hope we get more of these Rock Gods!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to ALC the book.

I really wanted to love the FMC, Courtney, but she really got on my nerves at times with the constant battle of insecurities. Ace who is the MMC is a bit of a grump at first who turns into an Alpha with touch her and die vibes by the end. There is a lot of drama, Courtney and Ace angst chemistry sizzles. There is a lot of outside drama that test their relationship. If you like hot spicy love story this is for you. I love the narrators I feel as thou they embody the characters by bringing them to life with their voices.

I love a rockstar romance! This was a filthy and fun time. If you are looking for a quick read to get you out of a slump, this is perfect. I listened to the audio and it was a quick listen that I finished in less than a day. Corvin King and Angelina Rocca did a great job narrating as Ammo and Courtney! Both have a raspier voice that fit in with the rockstar storyline.

Courtney is caught up in a scandal but needs to stay focused on her music career. Ammo, a rock legend, is brought in to produce her next album. They get off on the wrong foot but soon can’t resist the mutual attraction.

Listening to the story of Ammo and Courtney was filled with a lot of emotions. Angelina Rocca and Corvin King did an amazing job of bringing Cassandra Robbins words to life.

This Rockstar romance centers around Courtney Falcon and Marshall "Ammo" Adams. Courtney decides to go in a different direction after she catches her boyfriend with her best friend. The public is upset that she just quit her band to go solo. Enter Ammo being hired to be her producer. Ammo is a rockstar playboy through and through.

This book starts spicing right away and I love the way a former playboy becomes a devoted partner and obsessive/possessive counterpart.

This book was absolutely great and packed in some drama... just the right balance of plot, mystery, drama, and spice.

In this sizzling novel, the clash of two rockstars sends shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Meet Courtney Falcon, the epitome of rock's good girl, and Marshall "Ammo" Adams, the notorious playboy of rock. These two individuals, who couldn't be more different, find themselves forced to collaborate on Courtney's upcoming album.

✨Thoughts✨
Prepare yourself for a story that delves deep into the steamy side, and trust me when I say that I was completely engrossed! Cassandra Robbin truly hit the mark with the amazing connection between Courtney and Ammo. This enemies-to-lovers dynamic had me gasping and even surprised by how much I found myself enjoying it. The chemistry between Courtney and Ammo was off-the-charts, and I loved gaining insight into their lives of fame.

🎧The narration, brought to life by the incredible voices of Corvin King and Angelina Rocca, was absolutely spot-on. These narrators were the ideal choice, capturing the essence of the characters flawlessly. Corvin King could read me the most mundane grocery list, and I would still find it incredibly sexy. Overall, if you're a fan of rockstar romances and crave audiobooks that leave you hot under the collar, then this is an absolute must-listen!

Thank you, NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for this ALC. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I was so excited to see this as an audiobook on NetGalley! I have had this on my kindle shelf for months without reading. I love celebrity romances. This does a great job with that part. Unfortunately, I didn't love the characters. I didn't particularly find myself cheering for them. The book does have some excellent spice.

The audio was enjoyable. The female narrator definitely solidified my feelings towards the FMC. She sounded as I would have expected. The male narrator made me like the MMC more. His voice was very sexy!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this audio ARC!

This was just okay. A Rockstar Romance with lots of drama (sometimes unnecessary drama). I felt a little confused since I didn't read the first book in the series.
If you are looking for SPICY SPICE. Pick up this book.

I really wanted to love this story, but I honestly didn't like either of the main characters. I couldn’t feel a connection with them and didn't feel like I truly knew them. The MFC is so disconnected from her own life. She comes off as weak and a push over. The MMC wasn’t extremely compelling to me either. I’m not sure what made them fall for one another outside of being gorgeous with “chemistry.”

The story itself was a roller coaster of drama, but with a lack of connection I struggled to get into it. There were a few moments I really did enjoyed and the ending was nice. It helped to wrap up everything that happened and made me feel better about the overall experience.

Maybe I went in expecting one thing and received another. Everyone just felt so toxic. I would have loved to have a better understanding of the main characters. Maybe even more details about musically experiences together (limiting detail here as not to spoil).

I think if you are looking for a spicy celebrity story that’s angsty then this might be for you.

I have to thank Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for a copy of this audiobook. The narrators did a good job representing the characters.

Ace is sooo grumpy. But his transformation from playboy to a man obsessed is everything.

The narrators both had raspy voices that really bring the rockstar persona to life.

Such an enjoyable listen.

I received an audiobook copy of this for my honest review.

TW - This book has some dark themes, please read all trigger warnings before reading

Our FMC just found out that her ex-best friend and bandmate is now pregnant by her ex-fiancé. She can't handle this, she quits the band. So to try and take some of the heat off this so her manager connects with one of the best producers in the business to produce her next solo album, enter our MMC. At first they hate each other and try to make this project end, but they signed the napkin contract. As they work together, he realizes she needs to release some stress (in a fun, pleasurable way), as well as target her fears and frustrations into her music to make it the best. They keep working on the album, but news that a former stalker of hers is released from jail for early behavior causes panic. This would be ok if new photos weren't sent to her house. Will they figure out who is stalking her? Will they be able to get past old baggage? Will friends become enemies? Who can you trust?

I think I like Ammo and Courtney's story better than Rhys and Gia now. I love the drama Cassandra Robbins writes, this book lived up to my expectations and I blew through the audio in almost one sitting (only stopped because I needed to sleep but picked it up almost immediately after waking up!). The narrators voices worked perfectly for the gritty rockstar characters and there were no cringe or awkward parts that I noticed. It flowed really well and they kept me interested & immersed in the story.
