"You are what you eat", we've all heard the expression. This is the literal vision of this. Morgan describes all the food she likes to eat, then visualizes herself looking like the food. I love the fun word play such as having a head made of lettuce or chicken fingers. I imagine giggling kids wanting to read this again and again.

This was such a fun and whimsical book. I love how it encourages imaginative interaction with the world. I really liked the bold and clear illustrations and the text was very easy to read and succinct.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the eARC! A cute story about the phrase “you are what you eat” and Morgan imagines what she would look like if she ate certain foods- young readers would find this book hilarious! A fun way to teach body parts and different foods. The rhyming throughout the story worked and gave it a nice rhythm to read in. I loved the illustrations- very colorful and inviting!

This book follows a story about Morgan, the main character and her becoming what she eats. I think this is really interesting, especially as it would follow the whole you are what you eat myth that goes around and I think this is a really fun take on it, especially in more of a kids book that’s more rhyming and colourful

You are what you eat, right? Munchpie Morgan puts her imagination to the test to see what that would be like. The story is cute and silly and the language is clever and fun. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I liked the way this was handled. It didn't show any weird hang-ups with types of food, but just put them all together and what they did. It's refreshing to see a book that just let's a kid eat pasta and pie but also like broccoli and lettuce without making a big deal about either.

I loved this so much! It’s such a cute children’s book. A cute, silly, rhyming book that’s a really fun read! This would be perfect for all ages.
The illustrations are perfect for the story! There’s a dog - which makes it an instant favorite for me.
Thank you, NetGalley, for allowing me to read this early! The release date is set for May 31, 2024 and you should definitely pick it up!

If i take this to be a silly fun story I really loved it.
The story telling was short, direct and straight to the point.

I didn't love the message you are what you eat - but I appreciate that the author didn't just include salad related items.

I found the story fun, carefree and the illustrations were great.

I could see this easily being a wee song story in future.

This was a cute book and included lots of amusing illustrations. I read it with my six-year-old daughter and she enjoyed it. It’s a great book full of lots of rhyming words, which she thought were very funny. Would recommend for ages six and under. Thank you for the advanced copy NetGalley!

This is a very cute book that I read to my kids. They enjoyed the images and got a good giggle out of the different food options. The illustrations are cute. This book feels like a simple, nonsensical book to read to your kids for the fun of it. And although that can be really nice, it's also really nice to read books to kids that even with silly fun things, can also be teaching something! It's also very short, but that's not bad if you're reading to a hyper toddler near bed time. It's cute!

This was a cute story, but I didn’t understand the plot. My kids loved the colorful pictures of food and what she imaged what she looked like with them in her. I wish there was more of a plot or problem that Morgan encountered so she could eat different varieties of food. My kids are picky eaters but I don’t think this helped want to try different foods, maybe it will if we read it again. We will see!

This was yet another fun children's book that I ended up enjoying a lot more than I thought that I would, it was ridiculous in a way that I think will grip children's attention easily and the rhyming will likely make it a perfect bedtime story, the illustrations in this book were some of my favourite as well

I was sent this e-Arc on Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Very cute story with beautiful illustrations. It’s playful and engaged my kids to imagine different ideas of what they’d look like if they liked like what they are.

This book was super cute. I enjoyed reading it. I think little kids would be sure to love it. I thought the illustrations were sweet. The story seemed pretty easy to follow too. This is definitely a good book for librarians, teachers and parents to add to their children's book collection.

I loved this!! The art style is absolutely beautiful, and the fact the entire book is a rhyme makes it feel really engaging. It’s a really sweet, creative story and something that I think children will find amusing and fun to read.

My only complaint is that I wish it were longer (or maybe a more ‘fun’ font)!

This book is a playful delight, sprinkled with cute wordplay like 'toes and toma'toes'. It's a fun read for kids, perfect for bedtime or anytime. Plus, the story subtly encourages picky eaters to try new foods, making it a helpful tool for parents. With its charming text and relatable theme, This is sure to become a favorite for families everywhere.

This book was silly, cute, and fun. It's about a child who imagines what it would be like to look like the foods she ate. Kids are going to have so many giggles with this story. The illustrator did an amazing job of capturing each thought of the character. The rhyming was well written and kids will understand it easily. Kids can learn to appreciate the foods that they eat. Some foods seem unappealing to kids and this story makes it all fun. If you are looking for a book that sparks your kid's imagination, this book is for you.

Love Always, Catherine
