This was kind of a cute book although I will admit that the way it was written could have been a bit better. The idea of using the way different animals eat to teach children about those animals and their behaviours as well as what may not constitute proper table manners for us is really nice as a concept. I'm just not sure it was executed as well as it could have been. I felt like the flow from the bad table manners to the tidbit about the animals was choppy and needs a bit more polish.

I did learn some interesting facts about animals. Some were a little gross to be frank and at least one may be a bit disturbing for a younger reader (see Tasmanian devil) so be forewarned and maybe take a flip through before you let a more sensitive reader go it alone.

The artwork was nicely done. A bit cartoonish but it worked, and I really appreciated how a number of the scenes showed the children trying to mimic the animals. Not all of course, but the elephant one was cute.

All in all, an entertaining read.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Parents are going to love reading this one as much as their kids! It’s just super interesting! But it’s also colorful and goofy :).

I learned a lot from this little book and had fun reading it. The illustrations are colorful and we see kids in different situations (like at a birthday party or at sea) mimicking how animals eat and we learn why. It’s hilarious at times and also beautiful because the animals and their habitats are depicted too.

A great and fun way for kids to learn a few things about animals!

Seriously, the only thing better than funny science books is disgusting funny science books. Between the content and the hilarious illustrations, I don't know if I would ever get tired of this book. You probably couldn't read this at bedtime because it would be too exciting. After describing some disgusting habits, there is information in the back that explains why these animals have adapted this way. I highly recommend this book. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This was a cute and silly book. I think children will have a fun time with it. I really liked the illustrations. While this book isn't necessarily educational, it is still an enjoyable book for parents and children alike.

Do Not Eat Like A Tiger Shark is an informative children’s book by Etta Kaner. The colorful illustrations are fun and engaging. The story gives lots of information about different animals, in fun ways. The book shows the animals in fun ways showing the manor in which different animals eat, including butterflies.

I loved this! Not only was it fun, fast paced and engaging - it was also educational! I certainly learned a thing or two, ha!

I appreciated the diverse family too, I think it’s really important to embrace diversity and include it in books. The tone of the book was light and funny, and the language used was age appropriate. The artwork was beautiful and vibrant, which paired nicely with the story.

Overall, a super fun and short read - would highly recommend!
