A book I read via audio and I am so glad I did. Allison Vesterfelt narrates the audio book herself and I always find a book narrated by the author to have more feeling in the way they read it. Allison sets up the book in the first chapter as she was at a wedding and a friend and her randomly talk about quitting jobs and going on a long road trip, who would have thought a casual conversation ends up actually happening and changing her life completely.
I have really come to love reading non fiction via audio book and this one proved my theory. I don't know if you would define this book as "stunt non fiction", but I love when a book is about the author doing something definitely outside of their normal and maybe even societal's normal patterns and how that affects them and their future. I love how Allison used the lessons learned on a road trip and could relate them to someone that didn't have plans to do this.
I would give a warning that Allison is a Christian and her faith is brought up frequently in this book. If you don't practice that faith or have issues with that, then I would pass on this one, but even as a very casual person of faith, I enjoyed taking her lessons and applying them to my life - it is an unconventional declutter inspiration book!
