I’m going to be honest, I liked this first book so much better than this one. It felt this the plot was recycled. I know plenty of people enjoyed this, but it wasn’t as good as the first book.

3.5/5 Stars
The sequel to Thieve's Gambit, picking up 6 months after the original heist.
This was a fun sequel, but very similar to the first book. It is fast-paced and has you rooting for the characters to pull off their heists. I really liked the characters in the first book, and I think that some of them went through some great development in this one. This delved deeper into the relationships created in the first book and I loved the new dynamics of the teams. I like how there wasn't a lot of focus on the romance between Ross and Devroe, until the end of the story. There is also a secondary romance, which had me kicking my feet and giggling.
The sequel wasn't necessarily needed, but I'm not mad it happened. It did wrap things up nicely from the first book's cliffhanger.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this high stakes sequel! I love these characters and the heists they engage in are so much fun. This book was a wild ride just like the first book and all of the heists made this book fly by so fast. I was sad when this was over because Ross was such a fun character and her development over both books was great. I love how she has surrounded herself with a great team of friends that allow her to complete any job that comes her way.

An excellent conclusion to Thieves' Gambit. I really appreciated how Ross learns how to exist with her toxic mother and navigate her new and healthy relationships. This is an excellent thriller, but also an excellent look at how to break out of toxic cycles with parents.

I definitely enjoyed Heist Royale a lot more than Thieves’ Gambit.
The storyline was just so amazing. I really like how the group worked together to make it through the task. Ross was better developed in this book. She took the lessons from the past task to really be able to lead the team. The other characters were also well written.
The tasks seemed more realistic in Heist Royale as well. I just love watching Kayvion Lewis’ growth as an author.

Young adults from thieving families, trying to carry on the family business by a series of quests. The Organization needs a new leader for these quests. SO, it is a competition between the current leader and the one who wants to be the leader. And Bamm the upstart has an ally that wants to kill our protagonist's whole family. Yowza. I enjoy this series, even though the kids are thieves and liars, but then so are the adults.

I've really enjoyed this Thieves' Gambit series! Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group for this ARC. I think I enjoyed this book more than book one even though I really enjoyed both. We see the team go on heart pounding adventures again in places like Antarctica, South Africa, and Monte Carlo. If you like Oceans' 11 and other similar movies this is definitely something I'd check out! I love how Ross was finally able to stand up to her mom and find her voice in this book. Really hoping for a book 3!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.

I had a hard time with this one. The characters were SO immature where it just makes my eyes roll every other paragraph. I'm not the target audience, but normally I'm good with YA/young characters. These were just over the top with how juvenile they were when they were supposed to be 17/18.

Heist Royale has accomplished a rare feat, a sequel being better than the original book. I really really enjoyed this one and found the situations and heists so much more compelling and high stakes than the original games. The casino scenes were so strong and well done that I read for hours past when I should have. I highly recommend the series, it is so interesting and would love to see this as a movie or series.

Thank you to PRH Audio for the free audiobook and Penguin Young Readers for the eARC.
Heist Royale is book two in the Thieves’ Gambit series. Ross was betrayed by the one person she thought she could trust, and now she has to work with him. As she and Devroe are pulled into a new Gambit, Ross has to make a deal with him to save her family.
I loved book one in this series which was action packed. This one took a little longer to get into the action and I found Ross’s character to be really self-centered. The second chance romance felt a little bit forced. I did really enjoy the adventure and suspense with the new Gambit, as well as how the characters teamed up to take on the challenge.
The audio was really well done and kept me engaged in the story. The narration was clear and easy to understand, even when sped up.

3.5/4
Fun and enjoyable. Fast paced. Heists and sneaky teenagers. Nothing crazy happened. But overall it was enjoyable.

Though the gambit is over, the stakes couldn’t be higher in this action packed follow-up to Thieves’ Gambit. Despite his betrayal, Devroe continues to pursue Ross, but she learned her lesson and holds her heart closer while still suffering from trust issues. Ross and Devroe both now work for the Organization, but when a dissenter tries to gain control Ross and Devroe will be pitted against each other once again, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Family loyalties run deep, and friends will have to choose sides. At the end, the winning team will seize control and eliminate the other. With team Count being challenged by team Baron, anything goes in this fast-paced adventure around the world.
THOUGHTS: The second book feels faster because readers already understand the high stakes world of thieving. With unpredictable twists, readers looking for a quick and crazy adventure will devour this one. Highly recommended for YA collections where mystery and adventure books are popular.

Having enjoyed the first book, Thieves Gambit, in this series I was excited to read Heist Royale. It did not disppoint. The story is very fast-paced as the characters travel the world in another competition. Very fun to read!!

It's rare for a sequel to grip me just as much as a first book, but this one absolutely did! Heist Royale was just as fun and unpredictable as the first book. The only downside for me was the one-sided hate as the love interest tries to win the main character back after a betrayal, but that's a personal preference and wasn't a surprise at all given the ending of the first book. I would've liked a little bit more romance, but the writing was as wonderful as I'd hoped.

3.75 stars Lewis goes right into the action, which can be a bit confusing if you haven't read the first book in a while. The Casino scene is one of the book's best spots, and I felt it was a bit rushed with the meeting of Heart. I would love to see more with Heart and our main characters in a spin-off, possibly.

Rosalyn Quest and crew are back. This time, the players are caught between two separate feuds—Count and Baron are fighting for control and Ross’ mother and Devroe’s mother are fighting over old grudges. And all the while, the Gambit players are left fighting with their wits for their lives.

It's been six months since the end of the Gambit. When Ross finds herself at the center of a power struggle within the Organization, she sees her chance to change her fortunes. As a new deadly Gambit develops for control of the criminal underworld, Ross strikes a risky deal to guarantee protection for herself and her family.
In this final clash, Ross will square off against a ruthless opponent who will stop at nothing to seize power, and in the opponent's corner will be not only Devroe but his mother, who wants to destroy the Quests at any cost.
The new Gambit takes Ross and her crew from Antarctica to Monte Carlo and beyond. Loyalties will be tested, backs stabbed, hearts broken. May the best thief win.
I thought it was a great conclusion to the story that began in Thieves' Gambit. I was drawn into the stories of the characters and the adventures that they were on. Definitely recommend!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. This was another great read by Kayvion Lewis. I got sucked into the first book in this series and the 2nd one grabbed my attention as well. There were definitely more twists and turns in this one that were unexpected.

This book was a solid follow up to the first. The relationships have gained some depth, which I thought would be challenging when they're in such a cutthroat business. This was a lot of fun.
