Stillness In The Roar of Experience – William W. Chan – 2024 –
This slim volume is written in an unconventional format of observances and reflections centered around the author’s philosophical interpretation of consciousness, memory, awareness, and other perceptions of reality. Each observation is numbered from 1- 329, there are references to R. Maharshi – Tao Te Ching.

A friend/PhD psychologist recommended exploring the concept of grief/consciousness after the death of my Significant Other (2022). That said, I found this book very helpful and informative, though similar to other material I have read by AI.
*On creation; “There is no creator, and nothing is created. We are here and will always be here, in one form or another.” * A vision: “A woman alone in the world, is also a warrior. In another part of the world, a man is dying. The passage of time brings (abstract) happiness to both.” *We are all filled with life as we stumble from moment to moment.” * “Happiness is our Nature.” * “We never needed anything. There is nothing we can hold onto. There is nothing that can justify our existence.”

William W, Chan is a Chinese Canadian author of speculative fiction and non-fiction, and is currently working on his fourth book. Although Chan wrote that he felt like an old man, Chan’s wife E., and his son B., were briefly mentioned, also the passing of his mother, there were no other details available. With thanks to NetGalley for the DDC for the purpose of review. (3*GOOD)

The author, William Chan, has had to endure a long illness, so one must feel sorry for him, but I never fully understood the reason for his book. There are many much better books to buy and read.
