Reese is head of the robotics department for Mercer Industries. She has a brilliant mind but hardly any friends - her best friend is a robot she built. When the company's boss asks her to have his son in her department to habe him learn the ropes she is less than thrilled. But the more she gets to know Thomas Mercer the more she likes him and vice versa. But can she enter a relationship with the man who is destined to be her boss?
This is another great book by Camilla Isley. I loved reading it, it was romantic, funny, fast paced and full of relatable characters. I especially liked Reese's robot K-2P - a really unique supporting character. I also enjoyed meeting the characters from "Not in a billion years" again.
For me all of Camilla's books are a must-read and this one is no exception!

I didn’t realize this was in a series but I feel this could be read as a stand alone! There didn’t seem to be missing pieces from my end. I really liked this story but I did feel that there was a little lack of tension. But that’s really my only complaint - it’s a fast paced read with plenty of good laughs and heartfelt moments! I will definitely go back and read the first two books of the series now. A nice heartfelt read!

“If we ever have kids, I hope they take after her. Aaaand I might be getting slightly ahead of myself.”

Loved it!!! Wow !!! I’m obsessed with this series !!! After reading book one and two in the True Love series, I have to and I that I had high expectations and honestly I was not disappointed!! The author delivered exactly what I wanted and what I needed. After meeting Thomas for the first time with Gabriel and Blake’s story, I knew I wanted to know more about him. But this workplace romance with forced proximity, constant tension, banter and he falls first and ONE BED trope ??? It was perfect !!! Exactly what I was looking for!!! Plus, this Mercers men … they know how to get me!!! And the mention of Reylo’s fandom? I’m such a loser for these things!!!!!!
Reese is a great FMC, a woman in STEM you can’t help but respect and love deeply!!! And Thomas … he was perfect. Unmatched. Wonderful. Caring. Obsessed as much as he was respectful of her every wishes !!! I loved him !!! So so much!!! I’m so glad I had a chance to read this book!!

Although I really enjoyed this one, I felt it lacked a bit of the tension of the other books. It's still a fun, pacey read though!

I’ve been dying to read the third book of this series. The love algorithm is the story of Thomas and Reese and it’s as sweet as it can be.

Thomas is Gabriel’s Mercer younger brother and heir to the Mercer Industries. Reese is the Head of robotics R&D Director and very happy with her job, until out of the blue, she ends up preparing her boss’s boss’s boss’s son for the job of CEO of robotics when he doesn’t have any engineering background at all. Unexpectedly, the first impression surpasses anything Reese or Thomas could have predicted and love present itself in the sweetest and sexiest way.

I personally love their story, the chemistry between them is amazing. I would’ve loved to have an extended epilogue but the one we got is perfect.

I just reviewed The Love Algorithm by Camilla Isley. #TheLoveAlgorithm #NetGalley

Another fun, feel good romance from Camilla Isley! Reese and Thomas are likeable leads in a story featuring some of my favorite subjects/tropes: a brilliant woman in STEM, a man unafraid of an intelligent woman, a robot best friend, and of course the famed only one bed trope bundled into one incredible slow burn story. The conflict was realistic and didn’t feel contrived and it was fun to watch their characters grow throughout the story. While this story occurs with parallel timing to Camilla’s other novels in the True Love series it also can stand on its own (although the other books are also fantastic!).

Reese, a brilliant mind at the helm of Research and Development in Mercer Robotics, finds herself facing an unexpected twist in her career trajectory. Suddenly tasked with babysitting the CEO's son, Thomas, she's thrust into a whirlwind of chaos that threatens to disrupt her meticulously crafted world. But oh, what a delightful chaos it is!

Initially, I admit, I was a tad apprehensive. The setup seemed familiar, almost predictable. Yet, as I delved deeper, I found myself ensnared by Isley's masterful storytelling. The anticipation built steadily as Thomas and Reese danced around each other, their chemistry crackling in the air like electricity on a stormy night.

Ah, but when they finally collided in those decadent scenes in Roma, the tension was palpable, my friends! I found myself clinging to each word, unable to tear myself away, much to the detriment of my intended bedtime. For who needs sleep when there's a love story as captivating as this?

This book is so darn charming and witty! I mean, it made me giggling one moment and swooning the next. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a feel-good romance that will leave you grinning like a lovesick fool!

I guess I brought it on myself, assuming it’s a STEM romance novel, despite the word “billionaire” provided right in the description. I’m of opinion that billionaire romances are ridiculous, completely unrealistic and are romanticising the billionaire class while ignoring their contribution to the economic disparity and worker exploitation and this novel has not changed my mind. On the contrary, it added sexual harassment, workplace misconduct and disrespect towards women to the mix.
What I appreciated about this book:
- Reese and her intelligence, skills and knowledge. She’s a good representation of STEM education in romance literature;
- droid K2P and its advancement. It was written in a charming and funny way, character immediately likeable though tad unrealistic;
- science was ok.
What I didn’t appreciate about this book:
- Thomas and his personality, ideas and approach. He was overly confident, always thought his way so the best and basically ignored the requests of Reese to leave her alone;
- blatant disregard for boundaries, for appropriate treatment of coworkers. As mentioned earlier, FMC (despite being charmed by MMC) requested to cease the advances and flirtation. He ignored it. The whole situation was showing position, power dynamic and class imbalance and lacked any kind of reflection on what’s appropriate.
- letting the MMC get away with inappropriate behaviour because he was handsome and rich;
- the whole sex tape in the office and how much worse it was for FMC than MMC,
- the whole Italian conference trip, where the FMC didn’t tell or invite MMC to the conference and he invited himself, acting like a stalker.

To me the whole novel is pretty much Thomas being rich and powerful and doing whatever he wants despite it being objectively wrong, being excusable because handsome, attractive , rich and interesting to Reese. I find it very cringy.

I've never read Camilla Isley before (not sure if this is her first novel) but I loved it! The Love Algorithm is a love child between EL James and Ali Hazelwood... just try me.

This is the second Camilla Isley book I've read and while it was a cute nerdy romance, it wasn't my favourite. Camilla's writing is amazing, it's easy to read, it's easy to get lost in the story and it's also super easy to binge, even if you don't love the story. This book for me felt a little Ali Hazelwoodesque, and while I didn't hate it, I didn't love the slow burn for the sake of slow burn between Thomas and Reese. There were so many times where I was just like GET TOGETHER ALREADY, and they were just fucking around in their feeling, which I was a bit frustrated in. I also felt like the slow build was great, but then we're at 70% and the end of the book conflict was just rushed through.

I know Camilla books are closed door romances, but the sexual tension in this book would have been better with some actual romance. I do love smutty romances, so that is my personal opinion and I know her books aren't usually like that, so I don't hold that against the story.

All in all, it's very cute and if you love science romances or any cute closed door romances, this is def one worth picking up.

I have read a few of Camilla Isley’s books, and I have more on my TBR, and if there is one thing I know by now it’s that I am in for a good time. Camilla always delivers books that are fun and a good time.

In this last one of the True Love series, Reese is a career-focused successful engineer, and she is suddenly tasked with looking after the CEO’s son while he does a rotation in her lab. Unsurprisingly, she is quite annoyed with that role being dumped on her (which I can relate to, as a woman also working in a male dominated environment and sometimes getting those ridiculous requests just because you’re the only woman around and nobody would think of asking a man to do it). She leads a entire team in the robotics division, you would think she has better things to do and her time can be employed better that babysitting an the billionaire’s son. Surely he is just an entitled rich kid with no brain and enjoying nepotism a little bit too much. Thomas has been sent to the robotics labs to understand better their business, as his dad decided he should replace the robotics CEO who will soon retire. Thomas knows nothing of robotics, having worked in the company’s communications department, being the face of the company more than the brains. Unfortunately for Reese, there was a reason he was the face of the company, as Thomas just so happens to be very good looking…

I very much enjoyed the chance to see more of Thomas after the few scenes he had appeared on in the previous books. His character was a lot more than the fun and charming guy we had gotten glimpses of. He is also reliable and endearing… and pretty determined once he wants something. The only thing I wished is that the « resolution » of the « conflict » in the end hadn’t been so easy. I would have liked to see a bit more discussion on the impact on Reese’s career and something less quick to make it more realistic. If I could give half stars this would be a 3.5, rounding down to 3 just because of this. But otherwise - I enjoyed this very much.

The story flowed well and the characters were well developed. I recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

I have been waiting for Thomas’ story since I first met him in “Not in a Billion Years” (the first book of this standalone series)! Thomas was so playful and flirty and nice and his story Did Not Disappoint! It should be known that I am a fan of Camilia Isley. Her books are so fun with the best meet cutes.

What I love the most about Mercer men is they go after the woman they want! They are smitten kittens and their parents are so cute!

Reese is an incredibly smart woman as the head of the R&D department at Mercer Robotics while still under 30. She's always been good at school and work but so that's where she puts all her focus. When the CEO of her parent corporation informs her his son, Thomas, will take over Mercer Robotics in a year, she is not exactly pleased. Sure, she would never wanted to step away from her lab, but that doesn’t mean she wants a boss with no technical background making decisions for her lab. Her CEO asks her to help introduce Thomas to the technical side so he’ll be better prepared when he becomes her boss.

Reese agrees and everything would be fine except when Thomas comes down to her lab to meet her, she’s in the middle of changing in her office. Flashing your soon-to-be boss on the first day sure is a strong impression and now they have to share her tiny office.

From the moment Thomas meets Reese, he’s interested. She’s smart and sexy and doesn’t fall for his charm. But he’s her soon-to-be boss and he doesn’t want to take advantage of that. So he starts leaving little flirty notes for her hoping one day, she’ll want him as much as he wants her.

This book was good! A quick, fun read! I love how the charcters from the other books in this series were incorporated a little, but you definitely have enough context to enjoy it without knowing the backstory for everyone.

If you like women in STEM and hot billionaires, you should check out this book.

Note: I got this book for free from NetGalley, but this review is my own and left voluntarily. I literally had the release date of this book marked on my calendar when I got noticed I was approved for the arc.

Reese is the head of the Research and Development at Mercer Robotics after devoting her life to studying. She isn't thrilled when tasked with looking after the boss's son while he is doing a rotation in her lab. But she falls for his charm while working with him....

I like the science part of the book. I like smart heroines. It is a bit too slow for me in the beginning though but some people like the slow burn. Both characters are likable.... Enjoy the romance part a lot.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

This book had some of my favorite tropes:

-Office romance
-Billionaire Boss
-Sizzling banter (not a trope but I don't care)
-Only one bed
-STEM FMC
-Forced proximity

I was sucked into this book from the first line: The email subject says, “Meeting request.” It doesn’t say “Open me, and you’ll end up making a sex tape in the office.” and I couldn't put it down until I reached the end--I swooned so hard over the epilog I was lucky I was already in bed.

What can I say? Thomas was the kind of perfect charming hero it's impossible not to fall for. His teasing, his banter, but also his sweetness, and the way he respects her--even if that scene in the hotel in Rome had me crawling out of my skin with anticipation, it's almost as if my skin was burning too. Speaking of burning, this is definitely a slow burn, but the way it sizzle to get there is unbelievable. And it made me fell that way while still not being a smut read.

Reese. I could relate to. She's a bit of a nerd, socially awkward a bit shy, introverted. Grumpy. Just like me. She needed a Thomas to come out of her shelf. I need a Thomas, too, where can I place an order?

The little robot of course was another star of the book. I loved his snark, and I want one of those too.

This book was definitely written by a Reylo, and if you're one, you'll definitely enjoy all the Star Wars references.

I loved this book, it's one of my favorites I've ever read.

The Love Algorithm by Camilla Isley
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tropes: Forced proximity, he-fell-first, billionaire, office romance.

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end.

This STEM novels follow Dr. Reese Campbell and billionaire, Thomas Mercer. Reese is the head of the R&D department at Mercer Robotics, a department that Thomas’ father has earmarked for him to take over.

The Love Algorithm, book three in the True Love series by Camilla Isley, takes us through all the feels. I do firmly believe that the main character of this book was in fact K-2P, and I will not let anyone tell me otherwise. He is just perfection.

The banter and Star Wars reference had me laughing constantly. The chemistry was *chefs kiss*. Perfection.

Highly recommend if you’re a fan of Ali Hazelwood and look for another STEM novel to add to your collection.

I Love reading about women in STEM, and I felt like Reese was a great protagonist. My favorite character was the droid K-2P - it was a hoot. I thought that Reese and Thomas complemented each other's personality very well and their tension was so good! I wouldn't say this is an enemies-to-lovers trope exactly (as was described in the book description/summary), since the feelings are very well reciprocated, to be honest, from very early on in the book. I think the greatest obstacle their relationship had to overcome was the whole workplace dynamic. This book was an adorable rom-com and an easy read. Would definitely recommend!

Tropes:
forbidden romance
forced proximity
Sharing One Bed

This book was so heartwarming and sweet. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cute read.

Set as an office romance, Reese is assigned to look after her boss' son where Thomas immediately steals the show with his playful banter and irresistible charm. Reese is a really strong and independent character, and I loved how the chemistry between Thomas and Reese was so genuine.

It had a bit of a slow start and occasional reliance on the droid for exposition, but it wasn't too much of an issue, given that I enjoyed many of the other elements from this book. From Reese's relatable struggles to Thomas's unwavering determination, every moment feels authentic and endearing.

Overall, this book was truly a delightful read that's sure to leave you with a smile on your face. From the the one-bed to coworkers trope this feel-good romance was sweet and charming. I had not heard of this author before but I now plan on reading some of her previous work. This was so great!

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
