I received a free copy from NetGalley. So many words, so little forward movement of the plot. It is so slow, I found myself staring out the window at nothing instead of reading. That never happens.

I did not have a chance to read this book, but it is effecting my feedback rating. I am giving books 5 stars that I haven't read to improve my feedback rating. I am not recommending the book for my classroom or students since I have not read the book. There needs to be a better system of leaving feedback for books not read.

Seems to echo the Amanda Knox case in Italy. Even the ending with the unsolved murder is the same. One thing for sure, the author has an expansive vocabulary and isn't afraid to use it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sort of fictionalized version of the Amanda Knox story. I was not familiar with the details of the Amanda Knox case when I read Cartwheel, so I don't know how closely it resembles it. What I really appreciated about Cartwheel was the way the author showed how the case affected each of the family members rather than just the young lady accused of murder.

I had high hopes for this book, especially as a lover of true crime books and documentaries. I was aware of the case of Amanda Knox before reading Cartwheel and I love how the author took inspiration from that real life case and formed it into her own scenarios and characters. I really enjoyed the book but there were quite a few times where it started to fall flat and it began to lose my interest. I think, though a good story, it was missing a bit of the wow factor that could have made it truly great
