This is the perfect summer read!!! It had a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the murder mystery storyline. There were so many twists and turns that I did not see coming. This is a fun page turner that will be the perfect beach read. I did a combination of the ebook and audiobook. The narrator was so entertaining and did a phenomenal job narrating.
4.5 stars!!

It’s summer at the Saint, but this year the struggles are real. Traci convinces her niece to stay and help out this summer, allowing her to stay in the new employee dorms they built. When her niece ends up dead however, everything is in question. Who would have done this? There’s some shady things happening this summer, can Traci and the rest of the crew get to the bottom of it?

I did this one on audio and I really enjoyed the narration and taking in the story that way! I instantly felt like I was walking the grounds of the Saint with the young members that having taken a job there for the summer. Things were super shady and I just wanted to scream into the book and tell Traci everything happening, but of course that is not possible. This book has me so ready for summer…it will be a great beach/pool read!

First of all – I love MKA. I always look forward to her books. However, this was a departure from her normal type of book. I love MK for her mysteries, her romances, the setting descriptions, and her southern charm. Unfortunately a lot of that was missing in this book. First of all the language in the book was astonishing! I am no prude, but the amount of F bombs that were strewn throughout this book was alarming. It really felt like MKA was trying too hard to reach a certain audience. Which ultimately, felt alienating. There was a lot going on in this book. Too many mysteries, too many characters, and too much foul language. I was thoroughly disappointed.

Summers at the Saint grabbed me about 1/3 into the book as I became invested in the characters. Although MKA delivers on many of her classic inclusions, this book is not full of humor but rather takes a darker spin than her norm. Full of mystery, twists and turns, it is still a lighter read.

What a fun read! A nice mixture of suspense, romance, and family/female relationship drama. And the summer setting makes for a perfect beach bag selection. I alternated reading the ebook and audiobook, and particularly enjoyed listening as the narration suited the mood and pace of the story.

I really wanted to like this book…however… The story had a promising beginning then became unexpectedly dark, then messy and out of touch. The nail in the coffin for me was a joking moment in which sexual harassment was the punchline.

I was expecting a light and mostly fluffy read with this one but it was so much more!

I absolutely adored this audiobook. The characters were so well done. The timelines and characters were perfectly weaver together.

Huge thanks to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my review. I was pleasantly surprised as this wasn't just a beach summer story. The main character Traci Eddings demonstrates the way empower people who work with you. She saw people and treated them well. She would not fall into the horrible patterns of her wealthy in-laws. There were several twists and really had a mystery feel. This book comes out in May and is true to Mary Kay Andrews books! The audio is well done and highly recommend. I loved the characters Traci and her niece Parrish- and after you read you will know why I went with 4 stars-voted with my heart.

The audiobook was great! It blended a murder mystery with romantic elements and a touch of Southern charm, making it the perfect beach read. Kathleen McInerney did an excellent job of drawing me into the story right away. Though the audiobook's multiple storylines were initially confusing, they gradually became clearer as the story progressed. The hotel setting was lively and brimming with Southern charm. The intriguing plot kept me engaged with its many secrets and the gripping murder mystery.

A summer must read that everyone will love! This book had a little bit of everything in it…. mystery, some romance, friendships, family (real and found), a fantastic location, loveable characters, and had me hooked from start to finish. This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be my last!! The audiobook was a little hard for me to get into because there’s only 1 narrator and multiple POVs. But it wasn’t hard to keep track of the characters once I got into the book more. I’ll definitely be recommending this book to everyone!

A family drama with a twist of mystery.

Traci Eddings and her best friend Shannon were lifeguards at The Saint, a posh country club hotel for the extremely rich, when an eight-year-old boy drowns in the pool. The tragedy haunts them 22 years later when Waylon, the boy’s half-brother begins investigating the mysterious accident. Traci, who is now running the hotel, is bombarded with problems since the death of her husband and results from the pandemic. When she hires summer employees to ease her problems, instead a multitude of danger seems to follow.

This book was full of rich people gone bad and nice people overcoming obstacles which made It an enjoyable read. There were several twists that kept me interested.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the Advanced Reader Copy. #NetGalley @MacmillanAudio

This was entertaining. It appears to be a beach read but winds up being a murder mystery, so that was a bit surprising. There are a lot of characters to keep track of which is sometimes difficult with an audio book. You really have two types of people in this book: those who want to better their lives and those who are greedy terrible people. I liked this better than Andrews' other books.

This story truly was not what I was expecting… but man did I love it! The title and cover really had me thinking that this would just be another beach read, but the SECOND that I realized we were about to get some mystery/true crime I was 100% in!!

I read a few reviewers that were critical of all the different characters in this story, but personally I loved the challenge of trying to figure out how they were all connected and when they would become important. Traci and Liv were the wholesome, lovable main characters that every good novel needs. Even the villainous characters were well developed in this story.

This is the first Mary Kay Andrews book that I’ve picked up, and suffice to say that I will be returning for more! Although this was a bit lengthy for what you’d expect to find, I truly thought it was worth every minute. I finished in just three days! Many thanks to the author and publisher for this ARC!!

At first I was a little concerned how I would keep all the characters straight with listening to the audio but once I started getting into it there was no problem

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I felt I had some of the mystery solved but there was def some curve balls thrown in!

Narrator did a great job!

This book was SO good!! I enjoyed every second of this audiobook, I can’t wait to pick up a physical copy to read as well! This is my first time reading anything by Mary Kay Andrews and I’ve added all their books to my growing TBR.

This was such a twisty, entertaining cozy mystery/beach read. There were multiple times I thought I’d figured out the plot twist but Summers at the Saint kept me guessing until the very last page. This book is a must-have on your Summer TBR list!
