4.5!
This was so enjoyable. I love the narrator for Mary’s books. Her voice is just soothing and when she changes it for each character it’s not cringy. I also enjoyed that this was a little different than her other stories. It was more of a mystery than it was a romance and I enjoyed it!

Gotta love a good Mary Kay Andrews story. Her southern charm, wit, sassy comebacks and emphasis on female lead characters keeps me intrigued for more.
Pick this up when you are ready for a summer day with a sassy read.

I love Mary Kay Andrews. Her stories are always so fun and full of great characters. I love the cozy mystery vibe set in a historic hotel. A death from years ago resurfaces and a new death created a lot of action and connections. I love that we are given the mystery while getting humor as well. Andrews novels are always so entertaining and the audio is always great. This cover drew me in so quickly because it’s gorgeous. Not to mention this was a fabulous read to kick off your summer reading! I binged this one so quickly and the romance that Mary Kay Andrews always gives is perfection.

3.5 stars!
This is my first time reading a book by Mary Kay Andrews so I didn’t know what to expect! I went in assuming it would be a drama filled gen-fic. I was so wrong! In a good way. Yes, there was lots of drama but there was also mystery, thriller, action, and romance thrown in the mix. I never knew where the story was going. The setting was beautiful and I truly wish I could experience the place 😍. It kind of gave me the same vibes as season 1 of the show “White Lotus”!
I will say… there were quite a few characters and situations to keep up with. It didn’t ruin my reading experience but I could see where some may feel overwhelmed.
I was given an audio version to this book and the narrator, Kathleen McInerney, did a fantastic job! She had a voice for every character… and there were a lot!! 👏🏼👏🏼

This was a no for me. The story started out interesting enough it just dragged. At 70% I was ready for it to be over. If I had been reading this I would have definitely done some skimming. The narrator tried but her accent sometimes could be grating. In her defense she had way too many characters to voice. I feel like if a male narrator were added the story would’ve flowed more. There were some twists I didn’t see coming but one of the past indiscretions of one of the main characters never became public or were any repercussions for him. Summers at the Saint
By: Mary Kay Andrews
Macmillan Audio
Narrated by: Kathleen McInerney
As a Georgia resident, I love a good book set in my home state. Although Summers at the Saint takes place on the Georgia coast, it is so much more than a beach read.
The hotel known as the St. Cecelia is itself a character in this lavishly plotted story because of its history and atmosphere.
Andrews knows how to write a story that draws you in, and she does it this time with a big cast of characters and a rich, intriguing plot. Main character Traci Eddings is the hotel owner who has her hands full trying to bring the hotel back to glory amidst scandal and mystery. Narrator McInerney is a favorite reader of mine, and she shines with her delivery of MKA's new novel. Just settle in and prepare to be intrigued and entertained in the style that is uniquely Mary Kay Andrews.
Thank you to Net Galley and Macmillan Audio for a gifted advance listener's copy. My review is my own.

Such a great summer book! Perfect amount of chick lit mixed with some light mystery that keeps you reading and wanting more! I really enjoyed the character development. The narrator for the audio version was enjoyable and so pleasant to listen to. This book gave me Elin Hilderbrand / Nantucket vibes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC.

Grab your beach chair and favourite summer beverage. True to Mary Kay Andrew’s style of captivating and descriptive writing, Summers at the Saint doesn’t disappoint but it is a little slow to get started but it’s well worth the time invested. The development of the characters plays an important role how the story twists and plays out. Turns out, Summers at the Saint is a bit of a ‘who dunnit’ mystery.
The audiobook narration, by Kathleen McInerney, is clear and well paced. Her voice is pleasant and easy to listen to. I enjoyed listening.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to enjoy the audiobook version of this ARC.

Holy crap. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this book threw me through for so many loops. I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Lemme tell ya, the cover has you thinking it's gonna be a fun summer thriller. Wrong. This book kept me guessing the whole time and I LOVED it. I will be telling everyone I know to read this book.

The writing in this novel is delightful. The everything else is a bit messy. There's too many characters and too many plot points. The book is a murder mystery/beach read/romance - which sounds really cool in theory, but in practice is just clunky and chaotic. The world building is fabulous, and this book is insanely charming, and it immediately captivates you if you can get through the general overwhelming nature of the book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This just sucked me in. I started thinking about how it was going to be a classic Mary Kay Andrews southern romance, and then I got the twist and it hit me in all the best ways.
St. Cecelia, or The Saint, is a luxury resort on the coast. Everything is perfect, or at least so it seems from the outside. With summer hitting in full swing, the Saint gets a terrific cast of characters working there, and then boom, everything goes so wrong.
This is a perfect summer beach read with a great blend of romance and mystery. It’s a winner.

4 1/2 stars - This book has all the elements of a typical MKA summer novel, but with added twists. Traci has one summer to turn things around at the prestigious St. Cecilia, but it seems everything and everyone is working against her. Be sure to pack this book in your bag for your summer vacation or curl up with it from home and feel like you’re on vacation! MKA has done it again. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advance copy audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This book was really good. I enjoyed it. I liked the storyline and the setting. I love family dramas and this one didn't disappoint.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This was cute and captivating and the perfect summer read. I love a little suspense thrown into my beach reads.

This is my first time reading a book from this Author.
I thought that this was going to be fully a summer Romance, pleasantly surprised it had a bit of murder/mystery intertangled as well.
A nice relaxing light summer read, with no gore a bit of love and a whole lot of relaxing energy.
I would recommend this read. there may be a bit of a trigger warning for rape...but that is all to be worried about.

This book was different than what I thought I was going to get. But in a completely great way. Where I thought this was going to be a beachy Romance, this book had flavors of that but the main focus was solving mysterious goings-on both present day, and in previous summers at the Saint Resort. This is a great summer time read it made me want to hit the pool with a cocktail. The characters were all enjoyable to read about, and some of the murders and Mysteries I did not see coming. I always enjoy books from this author, and this was no different.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for the arc!
This cover- I mean! Stunning! I felt like this was going to be an adorable summery read. This part is my fault because I went in blindly. It was not sweet & summery.
Traci has inherited the St Cecelia- a summer resort. It is full of history and memories. But she realizes quickly how expensive it is to run & how hard it is to staff. It’s has become a headache. She’s already frequently battling her brother in law while also battling all the struggles of owning an inn. Traci begs her niece to put her goals on hold and work for her. That also quickly turns into devastation.
Not only are there current struggles with the inn but Traci is also battling a tragedy from the past. We meet so many characters in the present and past as this strong simultaneously unravels and puts itself together.
This was quite the rollercoaster. I wasn’t expecting so much tragedy and family drama. I also just felt the stress of all Traci was trying to juggle. I enjoyed the narrator but wonder if I would’ve had a better experience with a physical copy. I had trouble keeping track of everyone and where we were in the story. I probably would’ve like to flip back in a book. Maybe Mark Kay Andrews is not for me- or maybe I need to not be fooled by her covers!

Another fun romp with Mary Kay Andrews and Kathleen McInerney. Perfect for beach reads, quiet afternoon reading, etc. Always fun characters, plot twists, a touch of murder, a few sad moments but a great, easy read. Mary Kay Andrews never disappoints and Kathleen McInerney always delivers an entertaining narration. Highly recommend. Patiently waiting for the next book now!

This was an enjoyable summertime mystery-romance, taking place at a resort hotel on the Georgia coast. Good story, fun characters—reminiscent of some of Jennifer Weiner’s more recent novels. I listened to the audiobook version and had to take away a star for the distracting narration.;
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

MKA did it again! This one was really wonderful and I loved the different point of views all trying to make it in the world. I really loved the audiobook just as much as the ebook!
