This is an erotic bdsm romance book that is the last in a series of the Brown Family. I haven't read the other books in the series, which might help but I don't think it hinders. I really enjoyed this one!

Raven has been called many things; bitch, brutally honest, free spirit, prickly, just to name a few. But she's never been called 'girlfriend'. When she was with Brody Brown, she was honest enough to let him know she could never be tamed and wasn't a one man woman. She's been with both women and men, but never for any length of time.

Though she's had a long running relationship with the Brown Family, she's been more of a bestie to all, accept Adrian, who never was her biggest fan.

It's been a few years since the Brown's started to settle down and Raven has settled in Seattle to be near the growing family. She's become very close to all of their kids as a surrogate Aunt.

At one of the many events that brought together the group of family and friends that were comprised of the Brown and Delicious group, Raven meets Jonah, the eldest brother to Levi. He approaches her for a back tattoo, and this starts a connection that neither of them anticipated.

Jonah's daughter is now 17 and about to leave for college, he's raised her on his own since his ex-wife left them both when his daughter was young. He is now willing to take a chance on a real relationship with Raven. Taking the time to break through all her defenses and learn who she is and why she's so prickly.

Soon these two know that all they've gone through in their past was only there to lead them to each other.

I was a little apprehensive about reading Raven's story, because through most of the Brown Family saga, she's not been so nice. So why would I want to read her story? I'm glad I took the chance and did.

Jonah is Levi's brother, from Sway in the Delicious series. I've been hoping to get more of that family in a series from Lauren Dane, but I don't think that's happened... yet.

It was good, and I loved learning why Raven was how she was. Goes to show that you never know why people are the way they are until you dive a little deeper.

I have not read the other books in this series and I can honestly say that I didn't feel lost by what was going on at all because it felt like it's own book. I'm sure if I read in order of the series I would have known more about what was going on in the series leading up to this book but I wasn't lost.
The story was interesting and good. I liked Raven and have to say that I wish I got more of her sass in some parts because well I just would have enjoyed it more.

Overall it was a sweet story, about a broken girl who finds someone that helps her forget about her past issues and move on.
