I really love Grandmother's Tin Box by Judith M Ackerman! Grandmother's Tin Box is a sweet book about a Grandmother and Granddaughter's relationship--the stories and memories they share. It's beautifully illustrated and written. I love how the Grandmother passed on a Legacy of Faith to her Granddaughter that helps the Granddaughter in her Faith. The story reminded me of the relationship I had the privilege to have with my own Granny (and I may have teared up a little bit while reading it). I highly recommend Grandmother's Tin Box by Judith M Ackerman! It's perfect for any story time! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.

This book is a lovely story of how a girl’s relationship with her grandmother grew over the years. An old metal box, filled with treasures, held seemingly trivial items connected to stories they shared.

This was an incredibly beautiful and moving book. I loved the comforting and nostalgic illustrations and the story was written beautifully.

Thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This book is tender and wonderful. With beautiful illustrations this book tells the story of a special connection between a grandmother and her granddaughter. As a reader who is incredibly close to her grandparents, this book warmed my heart.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book for free in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.

As someone in their twenties who has had a very close knit relationship with with my grandma (who now has dementia unfortunately), this book made me feel very nostalgic. I really loved this sweet and charming story and I highly recommend it. So beautifully written and all around feel good. <3

Judith M. Ackerman's story idea for this book is very sweet. The story is about the extraordinary bond between a girl and her grandmother. The love between the two glows off every page. The words reminded me of my mother and grandmothers, and I felt their love even though they were long gone. The story is a lovely one. However, it may not be a good fit for the younger ages listed. Although the number of pages fits within the usual picture book parameters, each page contains a large amount of writing. Also, some writing, such as saying the main character "sobbed," could be a bit much for little ones. The writing is punctuated oddly, and at least one word is used in a way I have never seen. Ms. Ackerman suffers from my condition of using too many exclamation points! The illustrations, which Ms. Ackerman did as well(?), are gorgeous. They are primarily in muted colors and contain a tremendous amount of detail. A reader could spend a lengthy amount of time perusing them.
Thank you to NetGalley, BookBaby, and the author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a touching story of one little girls love and adoration for her Grandmother.

The illustrations were delicate and emotive, they really added to the story.

This is an emotional story which focuses on the relationship between granddaughter and grandparent. It also touches on the themes of grief.

Felt it could have been a little longer and focused a bit more on the loss and coming to terms with it. As this is a heartbreaking experience children will have to go through at some point in their lives.

Such a beautiful book to be shared between grandmothers and their granddaughters. I'm a retired preschool teacher, mother of seven and grandmother of two, so I've read my fair share of children's books! When I'm choosing a children's book, I'm usually drawn to the illustrations first, and the illustrations in this book are so beautiful. And the story about the relationship between a granddaughter and her beloved grandmother is so precious. They are both diamonds! I loved it!

Grandmother’s Tin Box is a beautiful story of the close knit relationship between grandmother and granddaughter, and the heritage that we leave the next generation. A sentimental read illustrated from the heart.
