What an excellent and vibrant chapter book which will be great for those branching into independent reading.

The chapters are short and manageable with illustrations dotted throughout.

We look forward to more Katie and Jojo adventures in the future.

We road tripped to Florida for spring break and I was so happy I had been approved for sixteen new children’s books coming out this year. It helped so much to break up some time with stories! The kids loved them and had so much fun picking out a book from my netgalley app to read. We didn’t read a single book we didn’t like! Tuckers favorite was Elmo’s new book, Kinley loved the fairy godmother book, Dawsyn loved the basketball one, and Briggs adored the animal book. I highly suggest adding all of these to your summer library reading lists for kids. I love children’s books, and these were full of beautiful illustrations, stories, and allowed us to have some great conversations after them. Thank you @netgalley for these advanced copies! @lisakatzenberger @alicewalstead @eringuendelsberger @aimeereid @christiematheson @jackjokinen @sandranickel @janechapman @hudaharajli @fraanushkin @saralauxakin @laurapurdiesalas @katyhudson emilymurrow @zackwilliams 📚📖🚗☀️🏝️🌊👙

This was a book of friendship and having fun. A great first chapter book with quick chapters and easy to read text. The illustrations were a perfect addition to the story. I liked the facts at the end and the talking points were great to help with discussing this book with my child.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book for free in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.

This book was super fun. I thought the characters were likeable. This book will probably be enjoyable for children of different ages. I really enjoyed it!

It’s a rainy day, so JoJo suggests that they go to an indoor water park. They have a great time while they are there-jumping waves, eating ice cream. JoJo suggests going on the new Super-Duper Slide, but Katie is a little scared. JoJo is a good friend and encourages her and holds Katie’s hand the entire time.

Another great Katie Woo & JoJo book. Easy to read and a good message. I love the glossary, fun facts, talk about it and write about it. My first graders LOVE these! I am definitely getting this new one for the classroom.

Splish Splash at the Water Park is great for children starting to read on their own! In this book Katie and Jojo go to a water park. There are great displays of friendship and overcoming fear. The illustrations are lovely as well!

Super cute, lighthearted little chapter book about two friends having fun at a water park. They are such good friends that they do things together and help each other get past their fears. This book was also fun because of the section at the end with water park trivia. My favorite trivia is that Hawaii has the fewest and Florida the most water parks in the US. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

"Splish-Splash at the Water Park" by Fran Manushkin is an early reader chapter book from the Katie Woo and Jojo on the Go series.

This book is about best friends, Jojo and Katie Woo, who love to explore. One rainy day, they go to an indoor water park. They enjoy the jumping in the wave pool, eating ice cream, and eventually riding the Super-duper Slide. Katie is scared to go on the slide until Jojo says she will hold her hand.

The pictures by Tammie Lyon are really cute and easy to understand.

I highly recommend this book for young readers.

Thank you to Netgalley, Capstone, Picture Window Books, and author Fran Manushkin for providing this e-book ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Splish Splash at the Water Park is part of a new off-shoot series from the Katie Woo collection, Katie Woo and Jojo On the Go. These introductory chapter books are great for beginning readers. They usually have 3 short chapters with a complete story and a nice ending.

My daughter enjoyed this story, and she especially liked the friendship between Katie and Jojo. The book describes a situation that makes one girl nervous, and her friend helps her conquer her fears. It was a very sweet message about helping each other and relating well to others.

Thank you to Capstone | Picture Window Books for gifting my family with an ARC to review. All opinions are our own. We loved it!
