Your Throne has a great art style, the colours are vibrant and the character designs are pretty + eye catching. It's fast paced & the body swap with the villainess and the heroine is well done as it's only after Medea has already got rid of many of her rival's allies putting herself at a disadvantage. The scheming of Lady Medea was brilliant and our introduction to her as we learn of the consequences of moving against her was a perfect start to learning about her. She's an awesome main character! The twists in volume 1 were great as we learn there's lots that she doesn't know about Eros' schemes and sets up future volumes well as you'll be dying to know what happens next!

Netgalley Review

Star Rating: ★★★☆☆

This was alright. The plot took a different twist than what I expected, but overall I don't think this ones for me. I loved the evil personality of the main character and really hope they flesh out her character later. There is definitely much more to her than she would like to let on. Might read more later, might not. Just depends on if there is anything better to read at the time.

Like always read it and decide for yourself!

I am a bit divided on this one. I changed my mind about the MCs at least 3 times. I ended the volume in charity with them, but it could go either way. Definitely meant for fans of morally gray characters (which is a stretch for me. I prefer to root for the good guys.)
I did quite enjoy the art and plan to continue the series.

This is a new twist on body swapping, and revenge. Our main character had a hard growing up and was supposed to be married to the prince. Though all of a sudden it is all taken away by someone else, after an accident they switch bodys. Though she soon finds out it might not have been for the reason she thought it was for. Things are not what they seem.

This story has some really well drawn art!

The setup here is pretty straightforward, in a contest to see who will become the crown princess, Madea has lost to Psyche, and now seeks revenge to regain her place. Madea is shown as a typical manwha villainess, but then the plot switches things up when Madea and Psyche end up switching bodies. Now living each other's lives, the story follows both Madea and Psyche as they try to make sense of the switch. I felt like this makes the plot stand out a bit from the typical webtoon trend of rebirth/transmigration, and particularly like that the focus is on both characters, not just one, or that there was a reveal that Psyche was the real villain all along, as does tend to happen. The art was good, I really liked the color scheme. I do feel like a lot of info was dumped on to the readers at once, making it a lot to take in, but i'm interested in seeing how the plot develops.

I had originally marked this as one I wouldn't give feedback for because the download did not work and wouldn't open on any device or application that I tried. However, since it is an original from Webtoon I was able to read it there and am happy to review the content since I found myself really enjoying the story and getting sucked in. I ended up scrolling well past the 12 episodes collected in this volume because I just kept having to know what would happen next. I think that many people who read this volume will find themselves feeling the same way -- that they need to know what's in store next for Medea and Psyche. The art is colorful and well suited to each scene, whether focusing on the darker aspects in a violent scene or highlighting the color and the beauty of the characters for a happier scene. The flashbacks or memories are clear that they are not happening in the present and the story is easy to follow. The main characters have a lot of growth and I found myself rooting for both Medea and Psyche even though that's kind of conflicting but I do like Medea better. I also love Heli! He's probably my favorite character and I really hope he ends up with Medea even though any potential romance between them is certainly not the focus of this story.

There is no real good or bad side when it comes to Medea and Psyche, everyone is just playing their own game and I love the chess metaphors in the story because just when you think someone is a pawn it turns out they are not. There are some twists and surprises and you'll find yourself not expecting what's coming next. Medea and Psyche are presented as enemies but it wasn't always that way which definitely makes the story better and had me more invested in both characters. I like that it starts off with us assuming who is good vs who is bad but then you learn that really everyone is much more complex than that. Medea is a very strong main character and that's always a factor for whether or not I'll be invested in the character's journey. Psyche is portrayed as her complete opposite and very weak but I like that she wants to be stronger. I also love a good swapped bodies story. It gives just the right amount of anxiety of what will the other learn while basically undercover in their body. Plus I love seeing when someone knows that there's something wrong and they aren't really who they appear to be. I'll definitely be continuing with this story and I hope that when the next volume is posted the download will be fixed and I'll be able to actually open it on here!

The content is good. I always love a strong female lead who isn't afraid to stab someone, though it always raises the question of why she isn't stabbing everyone. I enjoy how nearly all of the characters are playing their own game. There isn't a purely good or bad side, which always makes things interesting. I like how the main characters had a good relationship in the past because these stories often just have the mains be pure enemies. Basely, very fluid: love it. I feel like, based on the story, those new to manhwa would enjoy this.

However, as an "experienced" fan, while the characters are fun to read about and it's got all of my preferred tropes, I feel like the characters and plot isn't anything new anymore. There are so many villainous/revenge manhwas now. Another issue is the size of the book. The book is tiny. Preorders are about ~19 usd (for the paperback) and this book only covers 14 ish chapters. That's 14 out of nearly 200 now. To finish the series will cost more than 250 usd. This isn't "My mother got married by contract" in which the art is amazing. The art in the book is very typical of manhwa. We love artists in this house but that's a lot of money.

tldr: buying this book is likely only for fans of the series; as someone who is a fan of manhwa but not of the series, I think this isn't worth the cost.

I will post this review to goodreads once the english version of the book is added.

There was an error in downloading the file, but I read this on Webtoon and loved it there, so here's my 5 star review because I can only imagine that any changes, edits, or additions made between then and now could have only made it that much better.

I remember previously reading a bit of this manga on webtoon at some point but never finishing it, and I'm glad I got this arc to repick it back up. I absolutely LOVE this manga, the art style is beautiful and the plotline has me super intrigued. I mean, imagine you wake up and you're in the body of your enemy what would you do? I wouldn't even know where to start if I did, but our main character handled it perfectly. I'm excited for future volumes.

"Your Throne" volume 1 follows a powerful young noblewoman Medea, who is intent on enacting her revenge on Psyche, a woman who somehow replaced her as the princess who will marry the crown prince. During a ceremony, their bodies get switched and Medea learns that the crown prince isn't who she thought he was and is hiding something, while kind, sweet Psyche has to figure out how to act as the ruthless Medea until their bodies switch back.

I thought this was great! The style of art reminds me of mangas such as "Cardcaptor Sakura" but fully in color. I though it was done incredibly well and was really appealing to the reader, and for the most part I was able to tell what was going on due to the details in the character's facial expressions and the scenery.

I enjoyed this novel enough that I would definitely keep reading on webtoon and would pick up future installments. You would enjoy this if you enjoy fantasy manga, bodyswap and betrayal tropes. This would be perfect for readers who are teen-adult.

5/5 stars

I walked into this book mildly blind. I ended up pulled into it by the end and genuinely was disappointed at the last page. However the jumps in time can be confusing, I had to check again to see if I really did have the first volume and thought I'd missed something.
Enjoyable, just not perfect.

I seriously couldn't put this book down, and I already read the first 90 episodes on webtoons a few years ago! Anyone who knows me, knows that me rereading a book is high praise.
Also, this book is gorgeous unscrolled!! I can't wait to add a copy to my bookshelf!

Thank you to webtoons and Netgalley for sending me an arc of this book!
