This was my favorite book in the series so far. It was full of excitement, deceipt, friendships rekindled, and new enemies found. I felt like Morgan's character improved quite a bit in this book compared to the last, and I enjoyed the chapters from Lancelet and Guinevere's perspective. I also thought the ending with Arther was well done. I like it when a book allows some complexity to exist within certain villians. It's not always all black and white, and I felt this representated that well.

Installment 3 picks up right where we left off. We are still getting to know some of the characters and there are some new introductions. I love what they've done with Guinevere as a character. They just keep adding more badass fmc's. The romance is palpable. And if you didn't know just how much they're at war with their own feelings, you truly wouldn't be able to guess so. This book shows us what they are truly feeling even in the midst of their own stubbornness. This book ended with me needing to know how the entire tale plays out for each character. Not many people can elicit such a strong reaction from me. I genuinely wanted to scream at some of the characters while cuddling and comforting others. Morgan is quickly becoming an all time favorite character for me.

Such a good continuation of an amazing series!! In Empress of Fae, Morgan is back in the Rose Court and has to come to terms with her heritage and fight for her kingdom ⚔️🧚🏼‍♀️. She is separated from Draven and much also reckon with her feelings about his deception. Morgan is eager to prove herself to her allies but first, she must decide who she can trust, which is hard when it feels like she keeps getting betrayed.

I love this series so much that I read through this book in two days 💖 I can't wait to read the final installment of the series and see how everything ends 🤗

Book 3 picked up perfectly where book 2 left off. I love the new enemies introduced. I really enjoyed getting more background information on Morgan to help understand her character. I loved that Morgan’s growth is truly apparent in this book and she’s continuing to show growth. Can’t wait for more.

This was a really good book. I can’t wait to read the fourth book in this series. I do enjoy the fantasy elements throughout the series.

I'm so obsessed with the Blood of a Fae series, and I still have one more book to read!

Empress of Fae is book three of the series. It starts off right where we ended in the Court of Claws. Morgan is back home in Pendrath, Draven was left behind and remains at the Court of Umbral Flames, and Lancelet is ALIVE. It's been a year since Morgan has been home, and everything has changed. Pendrath is at war with their once friends and neighbors. The citizens of Pendrath are starving, and Morgan's friends are enveloped in darkness. Together, they must put an end to Arthur's madness.

I loved this book from start to finish. I needed more Draven, but his POV, which was added throughout the story, definitely made up for his lack of presence. In the first part of the book, Lancelet's POV was such a lovely surprise, also. All at once, you could feel the childhood trauma, the abuse, and the manipulation that Arthur endured. The ending left me feeling so many different kinds of emotions for him. The ending was written perfectly.

I preferred this book over book 2 of the series so I’m looking forward to reading the fourth book. I enjoyed the addition of various POVs such as Draven and Lancelot. It really added to the story and it’s something I am always a fan of. I love seeing more of the magic system/ fae abilities in this book. I felt that the book and good depth and I’m looking forward to what happens in the final book.

Book three in the Blood of Fae series. This book lacked something books one and two had. The pace was slower and I struggled to get through the multiple POVs this time around. I did enjoy the female lead character development though. I had too high of expectations thanks to book two.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. While this book was a little slower pace, it still kept me interested. It was captivating and led things differently then was expecting.

This was dissapointing. I loved the first and second book. But this wasn't right. All characters were bland.
Plot twist were so obvious, that was really dissapointing.
I would have loved more interesting fight scenes, but they were also rushed.
I didn't feel connected with this book, and it makes me sad.
I loved Draven in previous books. But in this he was so shallow and made no sense to me.

Court of Claws, the second book of this series definitely raised the bar and my expectations. And while I still prefer that book to this one, I was entertained throughout the third installment of the Blood of Fae series.

Our FMC, Morgan, really comes into her power in Empress of Fae, and good for her. What I did not like that much, is that Draven was absent for most of the story. I wanted more from his POV. Nonetheless, I'm excited for the fourth and final book of the series.

Morgan has fled her Siabra fae court and returned to a Pendrath that is at war. Here she is faced with old friends and enemies, as well as some new ones. Draven pursues her across the continent and they discover a new aspect of their bond- that they can meet in their dreams and speak to each other. Arthur has married Morgan's fae sister Orcades and there is a mysterious prophecy about their union. Can't wait to finish the series and figure out the rest of the secrets we are being teased with.

Wow, just wow. I am enjoying this series so much! I finished days ago and just remembered that I never reviewed as I was already busy starting the next book.
All I an say is the romance, the cliffhangers, the magic, and the world is just amazing.
While being a bit darker than the first few books, Empress of Fae did in no way disappoint.

This series is interesting but feels too similar to other trending books for me to fully separate plots.

While I loved the first and second books of this series, this one was incredibly slow for me (I think because of the separation and because I'm a weird mood reader). This one took me forever to get through, but I was so into the last 25% of this one! This was definitely the darkest of the series so far and I understand that we're building up to the final book in the series, but it seemed like 80% of this book was dialogue and I just didn't love it. I will still read the final book in the series because I've loved the other books, but this one was my least favorite of the series so far.

Normally by the third book of a series, I begin to lose interest. However, Briar has been able to keep the story line moving and the plot changing. The action, adventure, thrills has not died out. I am excited to read the fourth book. Big thank you to NetGalley and the Publishers for sharing this ARC with me!

Back to Pendrath we go! We continue on into the world of Fae, prophecies, evil power hungry men, and a spicy dreamscape.

We are following Morgan back to Pendrath as she goes home to save her former kingdom from Arthur (and maybe running away from Draven a bit...). Except this time we get multiple POVs!! I love getting different POVs, especially the ones we get help us learn multiple aspects of the story, this was really well done.

We also get to meet the Knights of the Round table (sorry, Lancelet, the name stuck), which continues to be a fun play on the Camelot aspect of the story.

Morgan enters a different kind of danger after a different sort of betrayal, and she then is in a tough spot of convincing Arthur she is not a threat while also trying to stay alive. Meanwhile, Draven is moving as fast as he can to find his way back to Morgan where he belongs.

This book gives the reader everything they have wanted from Morgan and Draven from the first two installments, and I think these crazy kids just might work out!

This story gives some more insight to Morgan's mysterious identity, as she continues to learn that she may not be who she had always thought she was. While this storyline was definitely interesting and heart-stopping, it is clearly a very big set up for a grand finale of a finish in the next book.

Morgan remains amazing and has solidified her spot as one of my favorite FMCs. She is smart, courageous, strategic, selfless, and empathetic. Draven is truly up there on the MMC favorites front as well. While he makes missteps, he acknowledges and learns and does it all to protect and be there for Morgan.

If you enjoyed the first two installments, you're going to enjoy this one!
