What a conclusion!

I don't want to spoil it but to say I am glad I kept going (I struggled to get into book 1) is and understatement. I noticed with this series that it really forced me to slow down as I read. I am notoriously bad at skipping to the next bit of dialogue in my books but this series stopped that. Once I slowed down I took in all the descriptions and explanations and I loved it! Reminded me of when I used to read "properly" and take everything in.

Plot wise! what twists and turns! This series for me was like TOG meets Camelot with a twist. Loved it and have already recommended to fellow fantasy readers.

“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal.”

This was such a fantastic finish to the series!

Morgan, Draven, and their counterparts embark on a journey where they must face the evil that has been threatening all of their kingdoms and destroy three legendary objects of great power...

I honestly didn't know where the story was going to go from one chapter to the next - it kept me on my toes the entire way through!

Full of many surprises, like throughout the others in the series, this was a thrilling final adventure with Morgan and Draven, and I have loved every last bit!

It’s so hard for me to judge the final book of a fantasy series because so many of my favorites are unfinished. The Blood of Fae series checked so many boxes for me and is a must read series for anyone that loves magic, enemies to lovers, a lil spice, complicated family dynamics, and a morally gray MMC.

Things I loved- the connection between Morgan and Draven was great this book. There was spice but also just general connection. I felt like it was paced well. There is TONS of action but it wasn’t constant anxiety. There were quite a few twists at the end that I was surprised about and didn’t see coming!

Things I didn’t love- there were some loose ends that weren’t tied up that left me with a lot of questions. The overlap between gods/goddesses/fae/mortals and reincarnation of the gods got confusing to me at the end. I had to read a few chapters more than once because I was confused who was who. I also felt like some of the battle scenes or major climatic moments would end rather quickly. The “battle” with Morgan and her father, that we spent 4 books getting to, ended so quickly and anticlimactically that I was a little disappointed.

Overall series thoughts- Overall, I loved the series as a whole. I was not let down by any book and was interested in the storyline from start to finish. I definitely think this series needs more attention because it deserves it!! I personally like the multiple POVs especially in stories like this with different locations. I think the most frustrating thing about the whole series is the complete location/character change between books. Book 2 we spent in the court of Umbral Flames and then it’s like we never really revisit there or any of the characters that stayed behind. It felt like a little confusing side quest that wasn’t connected to the rest of the story.

I am definitely in the Draven fan club and loved Morgan’s character arc. It was a fantastic series and while I likely won’t read it again, I will recommend to others who love this genre!!

Thank you NetGalley, Briar Boleyn, and Starwater Press for an ARC in exchange for an honest review 💗

Thanks to Starwater Press for providing me with an advance copy of this book!

While I've really enjoyed this series overall, I'm not going to lie this fell a little flat for me as a conclusion. There were a lot of things that happened that felt out of place. Spoiler warning from here on out.

This truly felt like a lot of "gotcha" plot twist ideas were included just for the sake of wrapping up the story with no real groundwork laid through the rest of the series. Why was Orcades/the spear in human form when none of the other items were? How were they even made?

Marzanna? Really? So her dad was her brother? Confusing.

Was being the spear the reason Maedra grew up so fast? I assume yes but that's never confirmed nor really implied. That's just conclusion I'm left with.

I am so honored to come back to reviewing and take a break from wedding planning all for Briar Boleyn's final book in the Blood of a Fae series. I have been on this journey since book one and have become a MASSIVE fan of this author.

Knight of the Goddess didn't disappoint. Draven and Morgan have such a steamy, inspiring, maturing relationship that keeps you locked in. While some scenes felt rushed, I can't say for sure if it was the actual writing or me reading it so fast wanting to know what was to come. Regardless, the ending was so perfectly wrapped up you could throw a bow on it. I'm sad to have the series end but also happy because now that the series is complete these four books will be on my shelves in a heartbeat and I'd recommend anyone to invest the same!

WOW! That is my first thought after finished the final book in this series. I was not ready for the series to end and wish I could get more of Morgan and Draven, and everyone else. With the war over, a new battle looms on the horizon. The battle to destroy the 3 weapons, the grail, the sword and the spear. With 2 in hand Morgan, Draven and their friends set out to destroy them and Gorlois Le Fay. With Arthur gone and Kaye unable to rule, the fate of the kingdom is left to Morgan, a job that she does not want but will do out of her love for her family. Arthur and Orcades' daughter Medra proves to be a great and interesting perspective on the world and I enjoyed each of her chapters. Draven's devotion to Morgan and love for Medra added to my love for his character. As a bonus, Morgan and Draven's exmoors also prove to be an adorable mated pair. This book perfectly tied up all of the loose ends that were made during the previous books and gave a most wonderful happy ending, even for those that were lost along the way.

I look forward to diving into Briar Boleyn's next series!

↬ review: 4 stars ☾ ❦
this breathtaking conclusion has left me in a whirlwind of emotions, my heart brimming with a mix of joy and sorrow. i'm uncertain how i’ll ever recover from the rollercoaster of emotions i’ve just experienced; yet, in some inexplicable way, i find comfort in the fact that my beloved characters have had their stories beautifully, if at times painfully, concluded.<

❀ characters:
the character development in this book is phenomenal, but i'm also traumatised for life because briar boleyn is killing characters left and right. i'm extremely mad, but at least my found family dynamics were back and better than ever - especially with the exmoors, whose bonding power is so strong and beautifully cute.

❀ love:
what can i say? we deserved all the romantic moments, and i was giggling and kicking my feet in the air because of the chemistry between morgan and draven. every moment between those two felt earned and deeply satisfying because draven gets women. he lets them shine and be the main character, and i love that for morgan.

❀ what i liked:
the plot twist at the end was phenomenal, though more details would have been appreciated. the found family trope was handled exceptionally well; watching the characters come together and support each other was heartwarming, and the exmoors continue to shine with their incredible personalities. seriously, can we get a spin-off series just about them? lastly, the writing was simply beautiful. every sentence felt like a brushstroke on a canvas, painting vivid pictures in my mind.

❀ what i disliked:
WHY DID SO MANY CHARACTERS HAVE TO DIE? i'm not saying i need a perfect fairy tale ending, but i'll be traumatised for life because nearly everyone bites the dust. oh, and draven needed more recognition. he felt like a side character when he should have been front and centre with morgan. lastly, the plot had some holes in the ending and plot twist, and i wanted more details.

❀ conclusion:
overall, this book was a beautiful and heart-wrenching conclusion to a series that has captured my heart in the long run. it was a satisfying end that left me reeling, fulfilled, and a little broken inside. i'll miss this world and its characters dearly.

thank you, netgalley and briar boleyn, for the arc in exchange for my honest review. it means a lot to me, and i appreciate it.

Finale book of this series and it was good! Some parts didn’t have the impact that I wished they would have but it was still an actioned back final book. I think ultimately there was good resolution and everything felt complete. I really enjoyed this series.

This Book! ✨ Exquisite writing and scene building a continues in the epic Avalon series with the best depiction of characters I’ve read.. Knight of the Goddess is brimming with gruesome battle scenes, heart wrenching death and dying amidst tender connections, spicy moments, faith and unshakable might. Full of all the things you’d hope in a final book, this is one brilliant finale..

First - thanks to NetGalley and the author for giving me ARC copies of this entire series! If you are a fan of Sarah J. Maas or Jennifer L. Armentrout, you need to check out this series!

I am a huge Romantasy reader and I always struggle to find series that live up to SJM and JLA series. This series really does the trick. You will love the characters, the story, the action, and of course the romance.

Add this series to your TBR immediately and cure any ACOTAR or FBAA hangovers you may have!

I finished this book about a week ago and just haven’t been able to bring myself to write this review. For me, it is bittersweet and I couldn’t wait to find out how the story of Morgan, Draven and all those that we have come to love would eventually end, whilst simultaneously not wanting to story to end because I have grown to love the FMC and MMC! This finale had it all: heartbreak, action, adventure, angst, edge-of-your-seat-tension and of course great romantasy! I have been an ARC reader for each book in the series and have devoured each one.
Draven is a brilliant morally grey MMC (who doesn’t love one of those?) and what a final journey he went through along with Morgan. I honestly can’t believe that this series has come to an end and I would strongly recommend this to anyone who loves the genre! Now to (impatiently) wait for a collectors edition to be released so that I can have a beautiful copy of this series to add to my bookshelf.

Thank you to NetGalley and Briar Boleyn for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

In this final book of the series Morgan and Draven race to their allies which are under attack by a new force. This means they must leave their nice behind to make sure she is save and must face the truth that long ago all was set in motion to this final fight good egainst evel.
Morgan is aware that this final fight can cost them all they love but that it the only way to not only save the fae or mortals, no this final fight is about the world.

For me it is the perfect ending of this series.
I really like the idea how the well know story of Camelot, the persons linked to it and also the grail and Excalibur are used here to present us a totally new story line. In this book we learn so much about Morgan, her past, what was started so long ago and we have several twist in the story which I really like and think are well done.
In this final fight the friends or better the family they formed are aware what it can cost them and all are willing to fight for the greater good. Again the fights are not small, the price is high but I really like how it is written and also the end of it. The trust and love between all of them is well written and I really felt with them.
I really enjoyed this dark series and can recommend it.

"Knight of the Goddess" by Briar Boleyn concludes the captivating "Blood of a Fae" series with a masterful blend of fantasy and romance. This final installment carries Morgan Le Fay and Draven into the throes of a newly-brewed conflict, threading their enduring love through trials that test not just their strength, but the depth of their bond. Boleyn skillfully interweaves elements of Arthurian legend with original magical lore, elevating the tale to more than just a story of good versus evil. The quest to destroy the grail, sword, and spear adds a thrilling layer of adventure, igniting a sense of urgency as the protagonists unravel ancient mysteries. The narrative’s poetic undertones, such as "Blood calls to blood, the dark shall rise, Forged by the gods under sacred skies," enrich the saga’s epic feel. This book is a testament to the power of love transcending mere lifetimes, positing it as something nearly divine—an enthralling conclusion to a beloved series.

Emotional damage…

I was not emotionally prepared for the fourth installment to the Blood of a Fae series, “Knight of the Goddess”.

🥀 Found family
🥀 Heartbreak
🥀 Redemption
🥀 Second Chance

My heart was broken for nearly every chapter and I had to remind myself to breathe. This was intense.

Blood isn’t always thicker than water. Sometimes, the best family are the ones we’re not even related to. For Morgan, family definitely goes beyond blood.

I found myself hoping that certain things weren’t true for Morgan, and I cried when the moment called for it. She really grew into her role as a leader, not a ruler.

Morgan and Draven’s love may be eternal, but he is still my book boyfriend. I dare anyone to challenge that.

Special thanks to #NetGalley and #StarwaterPress for this ARC by #BriarBoleyn.

This is the fourth and final book and definitely a fitting ending to the Blood of Fae series. Briar Boleyn very effectively wrapped up many storylines, introduced us to Medra’s very complex personality, furthered the intense bond and love story between Morgan and Draven, gave us more insight into the secondary characters, took us through epic battle scenes and offered a very satisfying conclusion to the entire series.

Briar effectively pulls on your heart strings and takes you on a gamut of emotions from compassion, exhilaration, fear, anger, shock, disgust, satisfaction and humour. I was very surprised at some parts of the story, felt the injustice at others, enjoyed the tender moments and cried at the heartbreaking ones. Overall this was a very satisfying read.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

What a thrilling end to the series!

Morgan, Draven and their friends went through so much to get to their final destination.
All the loss and death that happened in this book was really emotional.
And OMG!! Medra 😪 such a brave soul.
I would have loved for this series to have a happier ending but the one it had was truly amazing.
I want to know more about Morgan and Draven and I’m wondering how long until Kaye takes over the duties of the throne.

Highly recommend this series to anyone
