These illustrations are breathtaking. The colors, the light, the perspective, everything about them contributes so much to the tone and feel of this sweet story. I love a children's book with a message of conservation and this book captures the importance of environmental stewardship.

This would be wonderful classroom read to spark discussion about being mindful of our impact on the environment or a bedtime story at home to spark similar conversations.

Adorable! This was a sweet and whimsical book that left me feeling warm. It was full of caring. It was light and while I liked it a lot, I’d happily read it to my child. It’s not a repeat read for me like other books but once or twice would be good.

A stunning book about conservation, and the relationship between grandson and grandpa. The illustrations are beautiful and full of fun details, I enjoyed pouring over the pages. I would recommend this book for ages 5-10 as the writing is a little dense on some pages, but could spark a great conversation about protecting wild places. A perfect read for Earth Day in our library.

The pictures are AMAZING. I loved looking at every page. I think this would be a great book for families who love the outdoors/hiking/camping/travel/nature. Great bedtime story. I would not recommend this to parents with children under the age of 1 or 2 - I think the story is a little too dense for their attention. Overall meaning of the story is great, not sure if the younger audience will understand though - however i think if this is a book they read when they are young and re-read again when they are older it will hold a very special place in their heart.

What a masterpiece! The illustrations in this book were incredible and so detailed. I found myself lingering on the pages trying to soak up every detail. The message was perfect for reads young and old. I think my mom and nieces will love this book and I can’t wait to gift them copies.

This nature-themed book is beautifully illustrated. It is a sweet story of an adventure that a grandpa bear takes with his grandson to a place known as Faraway Valley. The book has a wonderful underlying message about conservation that isn't pushy.

A bear and their grandpa travel to find a beautiful, faraway valley. Is this a real destination or something only imagined? This story teaches readers about conservation in a gentle way and encourages young readers to cherish natural places. I love the bright illustrations that bring about a feeling of nostalgia. The end pages are beautiful depictions of a constellation filled sky, and the author includes a star chart at the end to learn how to navigate by the stars.

This is exquisite. Beautiful art, beautiful message, and beautiful journey between grandfather and grandchild. Absolutely loved it.
