Mia Sheridan does it again. She really pulls at your heart strings. I wasnt sure if I was going to love this but in the end I did!

Gage Buchanan has everything he could need in life, except someone to share it with. After sharing the night with Rory, a bartender three towns over, he is struggling to get her out of his mind. His life is then tossed upside down when Rory shows up in Calliope lying about who she is. Determined to find out what Game she's playing, Gage inserts himself into her life, threatening to expose her lies.
But when he finds out the reason she is in town, Gage can't help but be pulled into her story.

This is listed as a stand alone, but do yourself a favour and read Archers Voice and Travis before you start this one. Especially Archers voice. If you don't, you will be missing a pretty huge part of the story.

Loved this story, Gage was a favourite in Travis, so I was excited to read his story.
It was also nice to see an update on the other Pelion couples.
The little mystery of the paintings found among Rory’s mother’s belongings added a little intrigue to this contemporary romance. Definitely a fun read !

Read this if you are looking for a cozy small town romance.

Narrators Maeve York and Benjamin Sands did an excellent job bringing Rory and Gage to life.

3.5⭐️ Gage Buchanan thought his one night stand with the gorgeous cocktail waitress far from home was just that - a one night stand. But when Rory shows up in his town, pretending to be an art dealer, Gage is caught completely off-guard. Rory on the other hand, is in town to find her long last dad. Soon, Gage and Rory are trying to figure out the other’s true motives, all the while feeling an intense attraction and pull to the other that is impossible to resist.

I enjoyed this newest installment in the Where Love Meets Destiny series. It has engaging and interesting characters in both Rory and Gage. The author does a good job of developing these two through all of the little details that help us get to know them (I loved how dog obsessed Rory is). She also weaves the previous books in the series together in a way that felt seamless and easy to follow. While this is a romance, it also has an air of mystery to it, that will keep you turning the pages. And of course, there is all the spice for the open door girlies.

I read this book with my ears and have to give a shoutout to the dual narrators, Maeve York and Benjamin Sands, who did an outstanding job of bringing these characters to life. They breathed even more life into these characters, really adding an extra element to the story. While I always recommend immersive reading (using the audio with the physical book) I think if you had to choose only one format with which to read this book, I would hands down read via audio.

Read if you like:
•small town life
•found family
•interconnected series
•opposites attract
•wrong side of the track
•mystery element

I’ve only read Archer’s Voice by this author and this novel takes place in the same town. I’m definitely interested in reading Travis’s story as I enjoyed Sheridan’s writing. For the most part I don’t think you have to read the previous two before reading this one and it works fine as a standalone. There’s characters from the previous books in these ones since it’s in the same town but it doesn’t really feel that needed to have read the others.

For the story itself I found it decent but found myself more involved in the mystery of Rory’s paternal parentage than the romance between her and Gage. Honestly I didn’t really care for Gage or their love story. This was the quickest insta love I’ve read in a while and I’m personally not a fan of that. I would have enjoyed a more slow burn than the insta love (more lust filled). Also the short plot line of them possibly being related was a huge ick considering they’re still lusting hard for each other.

It’s a as a decent story that just felt like everything was too easily solved and conveniently worked out perfectly. I’m just not a fan of insta love and this book was literally the quickest insta love/lust I’ve read in a while. At least give us a little of a slow burn to make up for it. Between that and me having no connection with the characters, I found myself both not caring for them and not really liking the, this was an okay read for me. I plan on still reading her books. Her writing style is good and I think Archer’s Voice was a better one than this. I’ll definitely be trying Travis’s story sometime.

Another home run for Mia Sheridan!

Falling for Gage provided insights into two different socio-economic groups that went a bit further than rich boy/poor girl. The author delved into the familial expectations that transcend both roles- the loyal daughter trying to save her family legacy and the dutiful son who must carry on his family name and title.

The writing was superb and the story was perfectly balanced with just enough backstory to keep readers engaged without being cumbersome. The dynamic between them both is comical as she ventures to the "richer" side of the woods to learn about her heritage. Their banter and general dialogue were highly entertaining. They play the role of enemies to lovers perfectly with the right amount of steamy angst and spice.

My favorite aspect aside from the backstory and characters has to be the sneak peeks of some of our beloved characters. Archer will always hold a special place in my heart and to see him outside of his story just living and being loved was heartwarming.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Check me out on Instagram @jessicareadsit for more reviews!

The narrators of Falling for Gage do a good job and overall, the story is interesting. It just wasn’t my favorite. Ultimately, I didn’t connect with the characters and found the pace quite slow. Those two things made it difficult to stay invested in the storyline.

Honestly, after Archer's Voice I expected much more. This was fine but too predictable, too tropey and I just didn't feel it. It was pretty much your regular romance, no more, no less. Which sometimes is exactly what you need, but I already know it won't stick with me for long.

This was so good. I am utterly obsessed with Mia Sheridan (Archer's Voice is my all-time favourite book), so she is an automatic must read for me. I had read Falling for Gage some time ago and so jumped at the chance to listen to it in audio. Hearing the voices come to life, speaking some of my favourite lines, it was just a whole new experience and elevated my love this book so much more.

This is such a beautiful story! If this author writes it, you can expect to have your heart ripped apart and put back together again.

I was so excited for a new romance from Mia Sheridan and I couldn’t wait to read Falling for Gage. I didn't realize this was going to be connected to Archer's voice, but I loved that it was and loved getting to see those characters again.

The story starts off with a one night stand, and then are surprised with Rory appears in Gage’s hometown pretending to be someone she's not. The "mystery" aspect of this definitely kept the plot moving and interesting for me.

Any time I have an opportunity to get myself back into a Mia Sheridan world, my greedy grabby hands are going to take it. After falling in love with Archer and Travis, my heart was ready for that all-in plunge with Gage.

And, it was certainly easy to love Gage. Even as he stumbled through the beginning of his love story, his heart always shined true and it was so very easy to root for him.

The story was a lot lighter than I expected it to be. It almost had a little bit of a romcom feel to it, and it didn’t seem to have the depth that Archer’s Voice and Travis did. It was more of a feel good read than an angsty emotional romance. It was still a lovely story, and I was fully engaged with it, particularly Rory’s mission and the way that storyline played out.

I also really really loved getting more time with the Hales. It was such a pleasure to get the update and see them in their happily ever after. It was also super rewarding to see how Rory and Gage fit into their picture, and the ending in this story was super satisfying.

As an audio experience, the narration was top tier. In fact, I think I might have enjoyed this book more as an audiobook than I would have if I had read the ebook. The narrators really helped make the characters come to life, and it was a very pleasant listening experience.

In the end, the story wasn’t quite what I expected, but it was still an easy story to listen to and enjoy. I recommend if you’re looking for something that just feels good. ~ 3.5 Stars

I'd been eager to pick up a Mia Sheridan book after hearing amazing things, so when Falling For Gage landed on my headphones - I knew I had to start ASAP!

Admittedly, this book took some time for me to fall for and appreciate, but when I did, I fell fast (pun actually unintentional!). The initial interaction between Gage and Rory felt more opportunistic than passionate to me, but added distance between them truly made their pining believable. There was an additional mystery subplot serving up intrigue, and really amping up the tension within this romance as well!

Although this book is a bit predictable, that only makes it a comfort read! Main characters play their rolls perfectly, secondary characters offer emotional support, and there are dogs - a whole lot of friendly dogs!

Maeve York and Benjamin Sands did a great job narrating this audiobook. Both of their voices were soothing and relaxing to listen to, while still reflecting the emotions the storyline called for. This would be a great audiobook to wind down with at bedtime!

Although Falling For Gage is part of Sheridan's Pelion Lake series, I didn't feel like I was lacking any knowledge choosing to start the series with this book. However, as I just want to know more backstory about the members of this fictional community, I’ll be picking up the other books soon!

Falling For Gage is my first Mia Sheridan novel and I enjoyed it. This Contemporary small town romance is Gage and Rory's story and it's sweet, steamy and emotional with a bit of mystery included.

The chemistry, longing and tension between Gage and Rory was evident from the start and theirs was an interesting love story. They were both from different worlds, each with their own issues but they did fit together perfectly.

I will admit, there were times in the story they both annoyed me as I felt some level of communication would have made things so much easier thereby avoiding the deception.

The writing was witty and engaging and had me fully engrossed especially when we got the unexpected twists. I enjoyed the mystery set up and search and loved the cast of secondary characters who provided support where needed.
This was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to romance lovers.

I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands. They did a wonderful job and had me fully engaged in the story. They brought Gage and Rory to life and their voices complimented each other. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

After reading Archer’s Voice and Travis, I have been so excited to read Falling for Gage by Mia Sheridan. This is the story of Gage Buchanan and Aurora “Rory” Casteel along with cameos from several other characters from Sheridan’s previous books. While I love Sheridan’s characters and writing, I found this to be a really slow burn love story. Thank you to NetGalley and to Dreamscape Media for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

When seemingly perfect, wealthy Ivy League graduate Gage enters her family's bar, server Rory doesn't give him the time of day--she doesn't want to be anyone's bit of "fun" on their way to something lasting. But as he wears her down with charming looks, playing along with antics, and teaching her how to cook, the two share a one-night-stand, presuming to never see each other again. But when Rory decides to set out for Calliope, a town three hours away, to find her unknow father while masquerading as an art appraiser, she doesn't expect to run into Gage. He see right through her ruse and suspect her as a con artist, but when she explains the truth, chaos ensues as their sizzling attraction is hampered by a fear they could be related.

I listened to this book on audio, and both the male and female narrators did an excellent job--always great to hear a dual POV book come to life with multiple narrators! As for the story, I enjoyed it! It was an interesting plot with lots of layers, as both Gage and Rory had very well-developed personalities, backstories, and growth trajectories. Some of the antics were a bit slapstick for my taste, and would have been better in a romantic comedy film than a book, and certainly took me out of the story. Gage and Rory's careers also wrapped up a bit too cleanly in the end. It seems like there were a number of characters who may have been introduced in prior books by this author, so I'll have to hunt them down to get the full picture! (But this is definitely a stand-alone.)

Thanks to Dreamscape Media for my ALC (and Bloom Books for my paperback copy)! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4 stars - 8/10

Mia Sheridan does it again. The beginning of her stories are always attention grabbing and entertaining. This one was no exception.

Aurora & Gage’s story had my attention the entire way through. This love was deeper than finding your forever person. Aurora had been looking for answers about her father’s identity for a long time. When she finally finds a good lead it takes her to a town with the one person she never thought she would see again.

Gage’s reaction to seeing her again was funny at the start but as the story progressed, he learned the truth about her appearance and made it his mission to help her. I had the greatest time reading this book and would definitely recommend it. It was funny, heartfelt and inspiring.

💙 My thoughts on Falling for Gage 💙

In short, I loved it! I listened to the audiobook last week and just flew through it. Benjamin Sands and Maeve York narrate and they both did a great job bringing Gage and Rory to life and capturing their chemistry.

If you’re familiar with Sheridan’s books, you’ll remember Gage from Archer’s Voice and Travis. While this book would technically work as a standalone, I think it’s a more special read if you have the background from the other books.

I loved that Gage and Rory have what they both think will just be a one-night stand but then they are unexpectedly reunited when Rory turns up in Gage’s hometown. I don’t want to give anything away but Rory is there under false pretenses and Gage is the only one who knows. I of course loved the chemistry between Gage and Rory and watching that relationship develop, but I especially enjoyed the mystery sub-plot that has brought Rory to town. She’s on a mission to find her father and that mission will take her to some very unexpected places.

As always, Mia Sheridan’s writing is gorgeous and her character development is top notch. If you’re in the mood for a heartfelt story that has both a swoony small town romance and an engaging mystery subplot, be sure to check out Falling for Gage.

Mia’s books are always phenomenal but this was amazing. I loved getting to read Gage’s story. All the little cameos made my heart soar. To top it off the narrators did amazing. I recommend this book so much!! I loved every second of it

This was an ok book for me. I was super excited to learn more about Gage but the story just fell flat for me. I could not connect with Gage and Rory. They just did not give me the "feels". There were instances though in the book that were cute funny moments though. I enjoyed the push and pull with Gage and Rory with how she would yank his chain so to speak. It was hard reading about a successful man that didn't find joy in what he did, just to be a pleaser to his father. If the book wasn't centered so much on that maybe I could have liked him a little more. Now, on the other hand I did enjoy Rory and her love of dogs. She was a great person just seeking answers and I'm glad she found those and her additional family. It was an enjoyable read but it just didn't tick all my boxes.
