Thank you netgalley and Penguin random house for the e-arc.
Romance tropes everywhere, funny, sweet, and every so often a little out there. I loved this book. Honestly July 2nd run to your local book store this is a can't miss read!!!

The Love of my Afterlife is not your average love story. With all chic lit love stories, you know there will be a happy ending but how you get there is the question. I am happy to say that Kirsty Greenwood does not use the usual formulae. Greenwood flawlessly combines romance and fantasy she creates a beautiful place in the afterlife. Greenwoods characters are rich, and she develops them well. It is a story about friendship, family, and making the most of your life, told in a unique way.

Excellent book, my first read by this author. Thank you for gifting me with an ARC of this book. It was a zany romance with the help of a ghostly matchmaker.

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for access to this title. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was a guilty pleasure read that had me smiling throughout.
Book tagline: A recently deceased woman meets “the one” in the afterlife waiting room, scoring a second chance at life (and love!) if she can find him on earth before ten days are up…
Delphie is perhaps the first fictional character I have encountered in the romcom genre who is as funny as Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones. Like so funny that I snorted with laughter and my stomach hurt from laughing. I could easily see this being turned into a movie or a limited series. This book was as much about finding your "community' as an adult as it was a romance. I don't say this about too many books in this genre but I adored all of the people who truly loved Delphie for who she was( Cooper, Amy and Malcolm, Mr. Yoon, Alexd, Frida).
I have a feeling that this could be one of the hits of the summer. I hope to see it among the Goodreads nominations in the fall.

This was such a good read. I love a book that sticks to the conventions of a modern romance story but has a completely unique and original plot. Delphie is a pretty loveable character and I felt myself rooting for her throughout the novel.

"The Love of My Afterlife" is a delightful romp through the magical realms of love and second chances. The narrative is a perfect blend of romance and fantasy, creating a world where the boundaries between life and death blur beautifully. Delphie’s journey is filled with endearing moments, quirky encounters, and heartwarming revelations. The urgency of her quest adds a thrilling undertone to the otherwise light-hearted plot.
The characters are wonderfully crafted, with Delphie’s determination and wit shining brightly throughout the story. Greenwood’s writing is both humorous and touching. I found myself smiling, laughing out loud, and rooting for Delphie and Jonah every step of the way.
"The Love of my Afterlife" is the epitome of a bad mood banishing romcom. Its endearing, enchanting, and a perfect escape!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada/Viking for the opportunity to read and review "The Love of My Afterlife" prior to its publication date.

Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!!
I loved loved loved this book!! It was such an interesting storyline and concept and I had no idea where it was going to go. I loved our main characters and the found-family aspect (along with some great romance tropes).
I will be grabbing a physical copy!!

Okay I’m a sucker for a good rom com. This is beautiful, had me giggling and falling in love with the main characters. The writing is fantastic, I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

This book is perfection. It had me kicking my feet and giggling multiple times. It also had me daubing my eyes and demanding that the author “fix” the problems she created.
It had everything I look for in a rom-com: laugh out loud humour, my favourite tropes (yes Merritt, mine is “one bed” too!), a love that feels genuine, and a diverse group of quirky characters to liven everything up. I can’t wait to read more from Kirsty Greenwood.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the opportunity

This is the first romance book I’ve read in a long time and I was not disappointed. I felt like I was watching (hint reading) a 2000s romcom. I felt in loved with all the characters even with the ones who had a small role in the story. Delphie’s character development was really well done and the plot was great. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange of an honest review! (Out July 2)

A cute and funny Rom com an easy read for the beach.
Unfortunately it was hard to read for me just cause I couldn’t send it to my kindle and had to read it on my phone which sucks.

What a great refreshing read!
Our main character Delphie dies and visits the afterlife. While there she meets her soulmate and strikes a deal to return to her life on earth to find him. If he kisses her, she can stay. If not, back to the afterlife she goes.
There was never a dull moment in this book. All the characters were perfect in their own way. The writing was great and if I had the time to read this is one sitting I would have. It made me laugh and cry.
I would absolutely recommend this book to lovers of rom coms or someone looking to get out of a reading slump. It's lighthearted, fun, full of life (mostly lol) and urging you to live it!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Random House Canada for a copy of this ARC.

The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood is a delightful and whimsical tale that charms and entertains from the very first page. This novel stands out in the crowded field of romantic comedies with its unique premise and engaging characters, making it a must-read for fans of lighthearted, supernatural romance.
The story revolves around Delphie, a quirky and relatable protagonist who finds herself navigating the complexities of the afterlife with humour and heart. Greenwood's knack for creating fun and engaging characters is evident as Delphie's journey unfolds. Her adventures are filled with laugh-out-loud moments, and her growth as a character is both satisfying and believable.
What I loved most is how Greenwood seamlessly blends humour with those warm, fuzzy moments that make your heart swell. Sure, it's cutesy, but in the best possible way. And don't be fooled by the light tone; beneath the surface, there's a poignant exploration of self-discovery and personal growth that adds depth to the narrative.
On the downside, some of the side plots don't add much to the main story. These extraneous elements feel like they take up space unnecessarily and a few of these side plots feel somewhat superfluous, detracting slightly from the overall narrative, which can be a bit of a drag. This is the primary reason why I deducted one star from my rating -- a hiccup in an otherwise delightful read.
Despite a few minor flaws, The Love of My Afterlife is an enchanting read that will keep you hooked from start to finish. It's the kind of book that you can devour in a couple of sittings, driven by the need to see what happens next. The ending, while somewhat predictable, ties up the story neatly, if a bit too tidily.
This was my first Kirsty Greenwood book, and it certainly won't be my last. I highly recommend The Love of My Afterlife to anyone looking for a fun, heartwarming read.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing an advance copy of this book.

Are you suffering from depression, crippling anxiety? Maybe life events have you feeling utterly defeated and exhausted. Looking to open up a book that is so flipping good it will help you dissociate for the entirety of the time that you are reading it, and make even the most resistant brain produce mass amounts of serotonin (fact: I deal with all of the above and this story gave me more serotonin than I knew what to do with)?
Kirsty Greenwood delivers this golden gem in the form of The Love of My Afterlife.
You will giggle, you will belly laugh (multiple times), you will fall in love with all of the characters, feel all of the feels and have such a good time while doing it. (Seriously, I'm not a super positive person and this had me grinning like a child that just tasted a chicken nugget happy meal for the first time and it kept me up until 6:00am reading this in a single sitting).
DO NOT MISS THIS OR YOU WILL HAVE FOMO!
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for the free copy to read for my honest unfiltered opinion. This truly brought my cold little black mentally ill heart joy during a really difficult time.

Thank you to Penguin Random House Canada & NetGalley for giving me this arc in exchange for my honest review.
I’ve never read a Kristy Greenwood book before so I was intrigued to read this one.
I thought that the premise of this book was really fun and interesting.
Delphie dies after choking on a microwaveable burger. She ends up in the after life waiting room and meets her soulmate. Turns out her soulmate shouldn’t haven’t been dead and was sent back to earth. Delphie then gets a chance at going back to earth alive for 10 days to try and find her soulmate.
I’d say from the beginning of the book all the way until halfway it was captivating and fun but then after that it really felt like it was dragging on and I found myself skimming a few pages. My favourite part of the book was Mr Yoons character. He made me tear up. I loved him and Delphies relationship.
Overall this book was fun and adventurous.

Cute premise, but very, very obvious *twists* throughout. FMC is a loner, who, after being granted a 2nd chance at life embraces all the opportunities and it was fun to read her character growth. Aside from that, all supporting characters in the book were grossly caracturized in their roles. The coworkers who were desperate to spend time with her, the immediate best-friend librarian, the old man neighbour, the grumpy neighbour, the brooding hot male neighbour, the freaking DELI guy?! Each placement so obvious, it made the abundance of name-dropping of current best selling romance writers seem less like an SEO ploy by comparison. (There was A LOT!)
Thank you to netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 3*'s only because it was a very fast, light read.

Dephie dies at the young age of 27 in one of the most humiliating ways - choking on a microwaveable burger. She finds herself in Evermore, the world of the afterlife, and meets a man that very well could be the love of her life. That would be just her luck, running into the man of her dreams while she’s already dead.Thankfully she’s given a second chance at life - on one condition, she must find this man in the real world and somehow get him to kiss her within the time frame of 10 days. If she is successful, she will be allowed to remain in the land of the living.
This book was so unique and so so good! I loved the idea of it, and the writing was very clever and witty. It reminded me of the good place in some ways. Really enjoyed reading this book, it kept my interest the entire time and I was very much rooting for Delphie!! I liked that it was enemies to lovers too. I highly recommend! I’m going to look into other books by this author now.
4.5 ⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and publishers for the ARC copy in exchange for my review.

the book sounded so interesting and investing and it actually was!!! i loved most of it: the idea, writing, characters and they way story ended, i love all types of endings, especially sad ones💔
i am really bad at describing plots, so go read it before reading my review because it can sound a little bit crazy without knowledge.
honestly, when i just started reading, i had 2 potential plots in my head. the first one was a bit basic, but i actually would love to read a book with it. (or even watch a movie) and the second one: unexpected and intriguing. as you can see, the second one is what actually happened in the book. i honestly, was so confident in my choice (of scenery) until that one moment happened… i was not at home but couldn’t wait to finish the book, and loved it!
so many cute moments between characters; last chapters were keeping me on a thin line between sad or happy tears. 💫

Ok, so I’m not typically the biggest romcom fan but sometimes between heavier stuff, but this one was really quite enjoyable. I laughed out loud multiple times and I really liked the FMC. Thanks so much for the ARC

Laugh your butt off funny! Great story great plot. Won’t be my last book by this author.
Love the colourful cover as well. The only downfall is I couldn’t send to my kindle. I don’t think reading on my phone
