LOVED this!! I was hooked from the first line and just knew Iโd be adding it to my favourites shelf. The storyline felt fresh, funny and was entertaining throughout. It was the kind of book I couldnโt wait to get back to reading and was telling my husband every single detail of. Delphie and the whole cast of characters were great, the shenanigans that occurred were hilarious and I just highly recommend picking this one up!! Canโt wait to read more from Kirsty Greenwood!
Thank you Penguin Random House Canada | Viking for the copy through NetGalley in exchange for a review.

Sometimes death isn't the end, but rather the beginning ๐
I just loved Delphie in The Love of My Afterlife so much (tbh I loved all the quirky characters). When she unexpectedly dies but ends up meeting her soul mate in the afterlife waiting room, she has the chance to find love, save her life, and ultimately create a life that is worth living. Genuinely such a fun read for the romance reader who wants some paranormal elements and a literal life or death whirlwind!

Delphie didnโt mind her solitary lifestyle until she choked to death alone in her apartment. When she wakes up in the office of her eccentric afterlife therapist, Merritt, and tries to escape she runs smack dab into the hottest man sheโs ever seen. The sparks are flying but before she can get his full name, he disappears back to the land of the living. Merritt, believing the man is Delphieโs soulmate, makes her a deal. She has 10 days back on earth to find him and have him kiss her and she can stay alive. The catch? All she knows is his first name and he wonโt remember her at all. Itโs life, death, and hijinks as Delphie needs to try everything she can to find her mystery man, even if it involves asking for help and coming out of her shell.
I thoroughly enjoyed Kristy Greenwoodโs writing and how she brought humour and levity to heavier topics throughout the book. With an interesting cast of characters, this book was easy to get sucked into until the very last page. Magical realism lovers will enjoy what this story adds to the genre!
Thank you NetGalley, Viking & Penguin Random House Canada for the advanced copy to review.

It was a slow start mostly cause I was getting an understanding of what was going on. But once the plot twist happened it was excellent!
Definitely buying this one to add to my collection!

The Love of My Afterlife is such a cute and funny romcom. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the enemy-to-lovers trope and a bit of the ridiculous.
Thank you NetGalley for sharing this story with me in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited for this book and I was not disappointed. I was hooked from the very start and flew through this book. The plot of this book was so interesting! I loved how it was a romance but also involved difficult topics of grief. The plot twist was also so well done and I didn't even catch on, whoops! I had high expectations for this book and it was fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone!! THIS BOOK HAS MY WHOLE HEART.Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This novel is out now at your bookstore! This novel is cute. I liked the characters and our main female protagonist. This is a book that will take you through a lighthearted journey, one that makes you ask two question: what is your true fate? What is true love?
This novel, for those who like tropes, is an enemies-to-lovers, though the story doesn't start off traditionally that way, which is a nice touch. It's beautifully written, and emotional. It caught me off guard, in a good way.

Delphie just met the man of her dreams, one small hiccup is that Delphie is dead, and the handsome man standing in front of her is not.
This becomes very clear when the second after he tells her his name, he is whisked back to the land of the living.
Armed only with his name, Jonah, Delphie is given the opportunity to return back to her life, but the only way she will be allowed to keep it is if she finds Jonah and gets him to kiss her. How very little Mermaid!
This was a cute and fast read.
The author skimmed on some deeper topics, but it never went much further than that.
It had a whisper of loss, grief, betrayal, neglect, loneliness, bullying and rejection, but never went deep into any of them.
It had enough depth while still maintaining a light readability.

I loved this book. It was funny and lighthearted even though there was technically death in it.
I loved how much Delphie grew as a person as she tried new things and let people into her life.
Some of the side characters are a bit wild but they were fun.

Omg I love how eye catching the cover was. The description has piqued my interest. I loved it so much. It kind of reminded me of the dead romantics vibes.

Quirky. Sweet. Fun.
Whatโs not cute or fun for Delphie is finding herself dead after choking on a hamburger and in some sort of weird afterlife that has her meeting a therapist of some kind who can send her back to life, if only she does her a favour.
Poor delphie gets sent back in hopes of finding the blue eyed gorgeous man she met in the afterworld. And she may need the help of her ultra-annoying neighbour Cooper.
Introvert, enemies to lovers, love story books dropped, and a little magical realism complete this fun book. Iโve seen it compared to Ashley Postonโs Dead Romantics but I think itโs lighter than that. More of a quick beach read.
Thank you to the publisher for a gifted copy in return for an honest review. Itโs GMAโs Book club pick for this month so I have no doubt youโll be seeing it on a lot of socials

I loved this book so much!! I loved the dead romantics and this reminded me so much of this! It was fun and romantic and exactly what I crave & love in a romance book!

About?
The story follows Delphie whose past led her to live a life in seclusion. After having died rather randomly, Delphie is given a second chance at life if she can reconnect with her possible soulmate who she met in the afterlife.

Thoughts?
This story was filled with fascinating characters who are attributed to the rich narrative. The authorโs wit and writing style made the book a delight to read. Delphieโs character growth was a major plus for me.
The underlying lessons about life was my favorite part about the book. Being bold and going for the life you want. Pushing yourself to grow and heal despite your past struggles. You only live one life, do not wait for the โperfectโ time to wear that dress or treat yourself or follow that dream.
If youโre looking for a (deep) lighthearted, funny story, you will definitely love this.

It was difficult to read the e-arc in the format it was given but nevertheless it was a fun read( this was rectified, thank you!).
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for this e-arc.
Pub date July 2nd!

What happens if you find your soulmate after you die? That's what happens to Delphie, fortunately she has been given 10 days to find him and kiss him or she dies again. The catch, he won't remember her.
What an intriguing premise this books has! Normally I'm not one for afterlife and revival but this book was adorable! The characters were loveable and you were really cheering them on as Delphie with the help of her grumpy neighbour helps her embark on a journey to find her soulmate and her second chance at life. A wonderful story of learning to live your life to the fullest. It is definitely a great beach read for this summer!

I generally stay away from romances because the tropes are so strong and over used. I loved that this novel took those tropes and exploded them! The way Kirsty Greenwood handled them seemed almost meta.
This was an enjoyable, fun read and I would love to read more from this author.

The Love of My After Life by Kirsty Greenwood is a great fun read. The title and cover lead me to think this might be a book lacking substance. Just a fluffy read but you would be wrong to judge this book by the cover or title.
Delphie lives an isolated life. She works at the pharmacy across the street. She takes care of her elderly mute neighbour. That's about it. No friends. No outings. Keeps conversation to a minimum.
When she suddenly finds herself passed into the after life. As I said, she's never had much of a life to begin with but after she crosses paths with a hot guy she suddenly wants to live. Her after life therapist Merrit says she can continue on with life as long as she completes a challenge with 10 days. But she can't complete the challenge on her own - she's going to need some help.
I really enjoyed The Love of My After Life way more than I suspected. The characters were great and you couldn't help but cheer Delphie on. The ending had a wonderful surprise twist that I never saw coming. I would happily read a second book to hear how Delphie's new life is. This is my first Kirsty Greenwood book and I will certainly look for more of her novels.

This is my first Greenwood book and it is definitely not going to be my last. This book has comedy, character growth and I loved being a part of Delphie's adventure. This has all of my favorite tropes plus more. I really didn't know what to make of Delphie initially, but once I got to know her character, I felt empathy towards her and enjoyed the direction this novel took! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for giving the opportunity to review this fabulous romcom.

This was such an amazing book with warm and humorous characters. I have never read a Kirsty Greenwood book before, and it definitely won't be my last.
The premise was so unique, clever, and refreshing with distinctively quirky characters. Delphine was a wonderful main character. She's hilarious and lovable, and her story after she was sent back was what grabbed my heart.
The name drop of books and authors, romance tropes, and magical realism with threads of found family all make up one of the best books I've read in a long time. It's much more than a romantic comedy it's also about finding your people and embracing life to the fullest. The chemistry and banter were amazing, and I wasn't expecting to love this book as much as I did.
You need to grab this book, which is released today. I promise you won't regret it.

Come back to your Re

I was ready to dislike this book. Itโs super corny and cheesy, almost like a parody of a romance novel. But as I kept reading, I found myself completely entertained. Sure, the tropes are really in your face, but thatโs the point, and itโs hilarious. Once I took the stick out of my ass, I really enjoyed it. I started caring about the characters and their outcomes. Itโs a quick, light read, perfect for a break between heavier books or just life in general. It doesnโt take itself seriously but still has plenty of genuine charm and some spicy moments. I stayed up past my bedtime to finish it, and I have no regrets. If youโre up for living, laughing, and loving a little, give this one a read.
Thanks to Net Galley and Penguin Random House Canada for the eARC of this book!

Follow Delfie, a loner who gets a second chance at life, but with a catch: she must find Jonah, a guy she briefly met in the afterlife, and share a kiss within 10 days. With the help of her neighbor, who needs a fake girlfriend to keep his parents off his back, Delfie embarks on a heartwarming adventure across London. Along the way, she discovers the true meaning of friendship and really starts living.
I was completely hooked on Delfieโs journey and the lengths she goes to stay alive. I laughed, I cried, and I felt so connected to her character. This story is a beautiful reminder of the power of second chances and living life to the fullest. ๐
I'd like to thank @netgalley, @penguinrandomca and the author for the eARC. ๐๐
