I love The House in the Cerulean Sea when I read it, and I am so excited to read this sequel. The excerpt has the great writing we know, and a look into the characters lives after the first and also a look into Author's story before he became the caregiver of the orphaned kids. I am excited to see more of where this story goes and more of the world we love.

What a delight to be back in this world. I did a relisten of book one so I was fully immersed in the world and I’m glad I did. I’d forgotten quite a bit and it brought me write back into this cozy fantasy of magical creatures and found family. Can’t wait to finish it!

So excited to be immersed in this world again! I loved House in the Cerulean Sea and I cannot wait to see what happens next for these beloved characters! Sad this was only an excerpt from the book, but still looking forward to reading the rest of this story!

Oh, how I loved returning to Marsyus Island to be with Arthur, Linus, and all the children. At times hilarious and at other times heartbreaking, this is a must read! If you loved The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, then you will adore Somewhere Beyond the Sea. In this book, Arthur has to testify in front of the Department in Charge of Magical Youth; although he thinks he is speaking out for the children in his care and all magical beings, his words become twisted and he finds himself at the center of a brewing storm between magical and non-magical people everywhere. A new child, David, joins them on the island. Arthus and Linus (and the children) show David what it means to be part of something bigger than himself - he learns what it means to be a part of a family. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

I cannot wait to read the entire book. This world is a place a hope and belonging. I am so grateful that we get to return.

Thank you @torbooks #partner for sharing this snippet and teaser of what’s to come!
This book just made me even more excited of what’s to come in the full version! If you have not read The House in the Cerulean Sea yet NOW is your time because this one comes out next week! I cannot wait to see what comes of Arthur and his adoptive children in this one! The short snippet reminded me of why I loved the first one! There is SO much heart in these books!
I am anxiously awaiting September 10th to be able to jump into the whole story again!

I received an excerpt from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a review.
Let me say that this excerpt is such a tease! The House in the Cerulean Sea is my favorite book of all time, so to say I was excited when I heard about a sequel is an understatement. This book picks up right where the last one left off. Even though I’ve only read 4 chapters, I know that I am going to enjoy the rest of it. Definitely recommend rereading the first book before moving to this one if it’s been a while.

TJ Klune is an exceptional author and this teaser has me desperate for September 10th. I cannot wait to see the wonders that Klune continues to work through his writing in Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

I was thrilled to receive an excerpt from TJ Klune’s latest novel, Somewhere Beyond the Sea. I absolutely adored The House in the Cerulean Sea and couldn’t wait to dive back into the lives of Arthur and Linus and their magical children. TJ Klune’s writing style is incredibly sensory, the reader is immediately immersed into the story. It’s tender, loving, and funny. My only complaint is that I was only able to read the first 4 chapters! I can’t wait to find out where this story of love, acceptance and inclusivity takes us. I already know it will be another masterpiece. 5/5⭐️

I didn't read closely enough to see that this was a teaser and not the full book, but I loved what I read and I cannot wait to read the whole book!

I mean.....in my mind TJ Klune can do no wrote.....except only doing a sneak peak! just kidding ....but not really because I cannot wait to continue this book - House on the Cerulean sea is one of my favorite books of all time so when a sequel was announced I knew I had to get my hands on it!
This book is going to be perfection

I’m reviewing a short excerpt of this book & I’m so bummed it wasn’t the whole thing. The few chapter I got to read already were wonderful.
The flashback in the beginning was helpful in the back ground of Arthur’s life. I enjoy that this book will be from his POV. The author has a way with words and descriptions are always on point. He really paints a picture for the reader with every word you read.
I already know this book is going to be beautiful. Just like his other works.

Loved this sneak peek! Can't wait to read this book when it comes out! I loved The Cerulean Sea and am so excited to read more about these characters!

Klune really can do no wrong with me in his writing. After reading the excerpt I will be in line on pub day to get my copy so that I can finish this story!

Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune is an anticipated 2024 fall release for many readers, including myself. Klune's authentic, heartfelt writing is crisp and warm. Seeing the Cerulean Sea characters again (even just for this short preview) felt like going home. I cannot wait to get my hands on the final copy.

Perfectly charming. I'll admit that the thought of a "Cerulean Sea" sequel had me hesitant given how much I adored the story as a standalone, but (likely as expected), I've been sucked right back into Klune's whimsical world. In this 4-chapter excerpt, readers are reintroduced to Marsyas Island through the eyes of its caretaker, Arthur Parnassus. Sweet shenanigans ensue and an activism-centric plot is set in motion. Skeptics need not fear, this should delight.

The first four chapters brought me back to my favorites and I cannot wait for the full novel to be released. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced teaser.

I just read the excerpt of this book that NetGalley and Tor Publishing shared with me in exchange for an honest review. It was only the first 4 chapters, so that is what I will be reviewing.
I enjoyed The House in the Cerulean Sea, so I was excited to read more about the characters I had gotten to know in this sequel. It seems that Somewhere Beyond the Sea is going to be even more overtly metaphorical than the first book (which didn't go light on the metaphor, either), so if you like things a little more nuanced, this isn't for you.
Arthur and Linus are going to the DICOMY (the government department that handles magical children) to speak about magical people and children, in particular. They want non-magical people to understand that the unknown doesn't have to be feared. Instead, there has a been a change in plans, and it is going to be a little bit different from what they planned.
That's where the ARC ended: in an elevator going to whatever awaits them at the DICOMY.
I don't know how I feel about what I've read. It ended right when something was going to happen. Due to the oppressive use of metaphor (since I don't have anything more to go on), I'm going to round up to 3 stars and hope that when I finally get to read the complete book, I'll want to edit that up.

I had the pleasure of reading the first 4 chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea. I was captivated instantly and so eager to continue the story of Arthur, Linus and their magical children. I anticipate this book will be filled with hope, love, laughter and challenging but beautiful life moments.

I loved the Cerulean Sea and this excerpt has me so excited for book 2. I cannot wait! Thank you to the publisher and Net galley for the preview!
