I can't wait to see where this adventure goes next! It was great to get a little re-introduction to this great cast of characters.

Well this little teaser just left me dying to get my hands on the rest of the book! September can't come soon enough!!!

I was provided the 1st 4 chapters of this book from Tor Publishing Group via NetGalley.
I have fallen in love with all of these characters all over again. It had been a while since I read The House In The Cerulean Sea but it all quickly came back to me when reading this excerpt. I was reminded of the love these characters have for each other as well as the difficulties they have dealing with the outside world.
It is hard to review just a portion of the book but I can say that I gave the 1st book 5 stars and from what I have read so far this book is just as beautifully written and gave me all the feels. I cannot wait to be able to read the rest of it when it is published in September. My prediction is that I can then give it 5⭐️

So excited for this book after the excerpt! It was a perfect teaser. I love the message of belonging and found family. Can't wait to read the rest!

The whimsical crew we came to know and love in The House in the Cerulean Sea is BACK! The prologue flashes back to Arthur opening the orphanage, and the first chapter brings us back to the present, plunging us right into some hilariously charming antics and banter from the children. Arthur and Linus leave the island to participate in a hearing, and Chapter Four ends with said hearing about to begin. After a delightful beginning, I’m already hooked and I so badly want to keep reading!
Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Books for the excerpt. September 12th can’t get here fast enough! ❤️

Surprise! This advanced readers copy was only an expert! I say nothing but the approval for Beyond The Sea so I was surprised to find I was at 50% at chapter two! With a little research I seen that I was in fact approved for an excerpt but these first 4 chapters are phenomenal and makes me beyond excited to read the rest of this book! I’ve missed all these characters so much! The writing as just as welcoming and embracing as the first book. Can’t wait for more!
Thank you NetGalley and Tor publishing for an advance readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

This excerpt got me so excited for Somewhere Beyond the Sea. I adored House In the Cerulean Sea and I have been anxiously awaiting its sequel since I heard about it. The excerpt proves it will be as charming and delightful as its predecessor

I have never had such an anticipated book before. House in the Cerulean Sea remains one of my favorite reads of all time, and the excerpt for Somewhere Beyond the Sea was extraordinary! Can't wait to read the full book!

I was enjoyed the bit I was able to read! I am excited for the full story, this is beautifully written

I don't know how to review a preview of a book, but the first four chapters have me hooked, which is unsurprising as this is my most anticipated read of the year.

eagerly awaiting this one! the excerpt has me wanting more and I absolutely love Klune's work! thank you for the teaser preview, but I must have more!

This has me SO excited for the rest of the book. I am counting down the days until I can read the entire book!! Thank you for the sneak peak!

These first four chapters were so good!! It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I'm really excited for when this book gets released to find out what happens.
Thank you netgalley for the excerpt in exchange for an honest review

An expected 5 star read! The first four chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea are absolutely delightful. Such a powerful and thought provoking opening to the highly anticipated sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea. I have thoroughly enjoyed digging into Arthur’s backstory a little more and am absolutely thrilled to see what is to come. While I love all of the Cerulean Chronicles children, Lucy and Theodore are probably two of my all time favorite characters. I can’t wait to read more!
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Tor Publishing Group, and TJ Klune for the opportunity to read this excerpt.

Ahhh just this little snippet of this story and I’m craving more. I can not wait until I have the complete book in my hands!!

Just enough to get my excited for the real book! I’m so looking forward to revisiting old friends! I have my copy preordered already.

I absolutely adored TJ Klune's "House in the Cerulean Sea" - it's essentially a big warm rainbow hug in book form. So when I saw that a sequel was coming, I could not have been more delighted. And after reading this early excerpt, I am even more excited. Whereas the first book was all about finding (or creating) a world where you can be accepted and loved for who you are, it looks like "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" will be dealing more directly with the struggle to keep that world safe, for yourself and for everyone around you.
I can't wait to see where the rest of the story takes us!

This is such an exciting premise for what’s to come!! The House on the Cerulean Sea is one of my favourite book of all time and going back to these characters feels like going back home. I’m so excited to read the entire book!

A bit of a recap - Linus Baker is a forty year old, quiet, simple man who is a government case worker investigating orphanages. He is assigned to check out and shut down the orphanages. There are six so called ‘dangerous magical’ children-believed are out to destroy the world.
Only a something Linus didn’t expect and that is his love for Arthur
Welcome back to Marsyas Island
In this story Arthur Parnassus hopes to soon be the adoptive father to the six ‘so called’ dangerous and magical children who live there.
The six children are:
Chauncey, Lucy, Sal, Phee, Talia and Theodore all special and unique.
This copy is only the first four chapters which of course, left me with wanted to reading the rest.
Want to thank NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group-Tor Books for this tease of an early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for September 10, 2024.

I did the mistake of not checking the title properly. I didn't realize it was just an excerpt. I find those pointless and impossible to review.
Potentially 3 stars for the excerpt? It seems to retain much of what readers loved about the first book but for only an excerpt it was also a little slow at times.
I would like the full book. Until than I really am not sure. It has potential. TJ Klune is an amazing writer. But is it going to be as good as the first? No idea.
