That is TJ Klune.

He brings me to my knees with each and every book he publishes.

Each and every time, without fail, I fall more and more in love (and destroyed) in all the best ways possible.

My first Klune book was The House in the Cerulean Sea, this was the beginning of the end. After concluding, I realized, I will never ever read a book that would touch my soul the way that this one did. It was game over. I was a thriller loving, murder seeking, black soul who had just fallen in love with? idealism? fantasy? family? Well, when I heard the news that Somewhere Beyond the Sea was being written I knew there was no way I could wait, I HAD to get my hands on this book.

Although this is only an excerpt, I can tell you I love it, I can't wait, I am completely and totally freaking out.

I find myself in the grocery store line and chatting it up with the person behind me "hey, did you know TJ Klune is coming out with a sequel", Starbucks, neighborhood bar, you name it, im shouting it..

Klune’s wording immersed me in this magical world. The characters throughout the first few chapters put a smile on my face. This family of magical beings grabbed my heart from the get-go. I will be reading the rest of this book in September.

I loved House in the Cerulean Sea, so I was so excited to be able to read the first few chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea. Reading these first few chapters, September 10th cannot come fast enough. I fell in love with the characters in the first book and to come back to them and read their growth, even in these short chapters, made me wish I had the rest of the book. I already know this is going to be a favorite of mine.

I want to cry that this only an excerpt, but truthfully I’m just excited I was approved for the ARC at all.

House In The Cerulean Sea remains one of my favorite books. It’s adorable and sweet just like all of TJ Klune’s writing. This book is proving to be the same. The short bit I was lucky enough to read showed me I’m in for more warm fuzzies and feel good moments. There’s definitely a bigger political layer in this that I’m curious to continue reading about.

I really loved the pre story story. I want to know more about Arthur, and I think this is the book where we find out his past.

I cannot wait until September. I wish the company had given us a full ARC, but beggars can’t be choosers. I can’t give this an accurate rating for the book overall, but the first 4 chapters are the beginnings of what I think will be a 5⭐️ read.

Fantastic author! Great pacing and great development for the characters. I was heavily invested in the plot and descriptive settings.

I will probably always endorse a TJ Klune book. I have tried downloading this book for review both on Netgalley and Eideelweiss+ and only received the first four chapters both times, so I feel somewhat unequal to the task of a review. I unfailingly sell and buy Klune's books, and having read part of this one, I expect to give it 4-5 stars. So far, the story set-up is interesting.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, it was adorable and heart warming. I loved Arthur (and basically all of the characters) in the first book, and this follow up does not disappoint!

TJ MF KLUNE CAN DO NO WRONG! I absolutely love his writing and I'm beyond excited that the House in the Cerulean Sea is getting a sister. That book made me sob and I know this one will do the same. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book!

Getting to read this excerpt made me even more excited for September 10th. I'm interested to see where the story develops especially as it relates to residential homes for children.

GAHHHHHH How amazing was it to be back with my favorite magical children? Seriously, from the first chapter I was already smiling to myself and could feel my cup filling. I got the absolute pleasure of joining Tor books for an event with Klune and I have to say I think he did a fantastic job getting his point across in this one. This book was dedicated to the Trans community and is not so roughly based on the struggles they face with our political climate, and I could certainly feel his empathy and love for them throughout the book, without it being beat into your head. I could not love these characters more, especially the kids…my heart is just so full and happy to have spent another book with them all!

It was wonderful to get a sneak peak of Somewhere Beyond the Sea, a follow up to T.J. Klune’s The House in the Cerulean Sea. This second book will take us forward as Arther and Linus work together to fight for the rights of magical beings, while also giving us insights into Arthur’s past. This excerpt was full of Klune’s usual strengths—great characters, delightful humor, and love-filled relationships. The excerpt leaves us at the edge of our seat, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
