With just a handful of chapters, I can already tell this book is going to be great.. I couldn't put it down or stop thinking of it. Leaning his forehead against Linus’s, Arthur whispered, “Let them listen to what joy sounds like. Maybe they’ll learn a thing or two.”... This book is going to make me cry uncontrollably, isn't it?

It’s nearly impossible to review an excerpt of a book because we obviously aren’t given the entire story. I felt duped by this tactic if I’m honest. It felt like a way to generate a lot 5 star reviews by fans of the beloved The House in the Cerulean Sea without providing the actual book. Setting those negative feelings aside, revisiting these characters felt like coming home. I very much look forward to reading the entire book.

Loved this excerpt!! It had the same flow as book one and reading about the characters again made me happy. I am extremely excited for the full book to come out!

What a wonder except that starts off pulling you in immediately to the wonder of the island! I cannot wait to read the full book upon release!

Having loved The House on the Cerulean Sea, I was excited to learn there was a sequel coming. When I found this excerpt I was so excited to get a copy. It didn't disappoint and now I can't wait for the official novel to come out. TJ Klune is such an excellent writer and his stories run so deep. The characters in these novels are so well developed and each have their own personality. The reader can find something in at least one, if not more, of the characters and relate to them and how they are viewed or treated. I was a little disappointed that it was only an excerpt and not the whole novel. It definitely gave the necessary tease that the publisher was hoping for in creating excitement for this release. September 10th can't come soon enough, and I will definitely be picking up a copy of Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

Absolutely fabulous.
Within 8 pages I was nearly in tears. Getting to see more of Arthur’s past, as well as returning to this world and found family I adore, was exactly what I wanted.
The vibes are perfect and immediately take you back to the cosy, wrapped in a blanket feeling of House in the Cerulean Sea.
I can’t wait to get to read the rest.

I can't wait to read the full book! I absolutely loved The House in the Cerulean Sea. It was such a cozy, heart warming hug. I am excited to read this one in it's entirety.

I felt a bit duped when I realized I received an excerpt of the novel, but I know that's my fault for not looking deeper into the description - I was just so excited to see Somewhere Beyond the Sea as an option!
Though I wasn't able to get too deep into the book, I felt as if I had fallen right back into the world of the Cerulean Sea. It was lovely and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the novel.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc excerpt!

I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea, so I was so excited to see that we could get even just a little bit of book 2!
I am so happy to see Arthur and Linus together, and with the kiddos too! I'm really looking forward to seeing them and the kids grow emotionally and overcome all of the hard things they've dealt with in their past. I can not wait for the full version!!!

Just an excerpt, but I'm so excited for this sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea! What you can expect from this author: excellent world building, beautifully painted feelings & emotions, and characters you will just fall in love with. 🥹 So excited for this book!
🗣 Thank you to netgalley and Tor for the opportunity to read and review this excerpt via gifted eARC! All opinions are honest and my own.

OBSESSED. I couldn’t have loved this sequel more! TJ Klune is such a beautiful writer. These are some of the most lovable characters I’ve read about in years. It’s magical, sweet and endearing. Absolutely loved it.

While we were only gifted a snippet of the sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea, it immediately won me over. I went from tearing up at a glimpse of Arthur before the children to laughing out loud through the opening sequence reintroducing them. Klune is a must read/must purchase for me and my community. I can’t wait to get the whole book!

Didn’t realize this was just a teaser, I’m devastated! Already drawn back into this beautiful world with lovely characters. I cannot wait for the release date!

I thought this was the full book but apparently it wasn't. Oops!
Either way, the vibes were immaculate and really felt just like The House in the Cerulean Sea. I'm happy to start to get insight into Arthur's life and past.

This was such a tease for the release in September, but it definitely made me even more excited to dive back into this world! Especially while my husband was reading the first one for the first time!

I'm so excited for this story to continue. I loved starting with a brief flashback for Arthur and then continuing our beloved characters after the end of the last adventure. I only wish the excerpt was longer. I cannot wait to get the rest of this story!

We are back on the island with Arthur, Linus, and the magical children we have all grown to love. After a quick flashback to Arthur’s return to the island to refurbish the house that will become home for several magical wards, we dive right in to the main storyline. I really enjoyed how this story started by providing an overview of the main characters and their abilities through recent events at the homestead. It allowed for the reader to be reacquainted without feeling redundant. After 4 chapters, I am hooked and left with a bit of a cliff hanger. I can’t wait for the release of the full publication in September to find out how this story will continue to unfold.
Somewhere Beyond the Sea by T. J. Klune is available September 10, 2024. Check it out!
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advance 4 chapter preview in exchange for an honest review.

This book delivered that enthralling whimsical writing/story telling style we have come to know and love from this author. I loved this book and am excited to keep reading more from this author.

The Magical Babies are the best part about this story. I am definitely excited to see where the story goes and revisit with Linus, Arthur, and all of their kids as the navigate the political circle to create changes for the magical humans, I am confident that should they fail to inspire love for the rest of the magical Babies, Lucy, and Theodore will happily burn the world to the ground while Chauncey carries their bags.

The same whimsical style we have come to love from this author. I cant wait to devour the whole book!
