This is going to be amazing. can not wait to read the rest, so well written as always, Characters are so so good.

Picked up right where we left off with our lovable main character. I dove right into the pages of this excerpt and cannot wait to read the book upon release this fall. TJ Klune’s writing sets a setting that envelops the reader and his characters feel like close friends.

I was a huge fan of The House of the Cerulean Sea, and I can't believe I was lucky enough to read this excerpt. I really connect to Linus so it is wonderful to see a continuation of his relationship both to the children of the orphanage but also to Arthur. House in the Cerulean Sea is self contained, but it really feels like the first steppingstone in a greater world dying to be explored in depth. I'm thankful that TJ Klune brought us back to their world to continue on.
Here's to a a sequel that is assured to be as good as the original story we all fell in love with.

I received an arc of an excerpt of the ebook through NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group.
So far I am giving this book 5 stars. I didn’t realize it was only an excerpt when I applied for this arc. It is the ghost 4 chapters of the book.
This is the second book in the Cerulean Chronicles. This book is Arthur Parnassus’s story. While it does give some of his past, it takes place after the first book, House on the Cerulean Sea.
So far I’m loving this book! I was quickly reminded of Arthur and Linus, and all the kids living with them as well as their magical abilities. Linus has moved in and is now an integral part of the household and the Atrthur’s love.
The two men have left the house to go to the government to speak about magical beings rights. He has kept these kids (as well as his own abilities) hidden on the island for a long time, and he and Linus know they need to speak out in order for the world to accept them and understand them. They are also hoping to bring home another magical boy, David.
As they reach the I government building there are supporters as well as protestors. They quickly find they have some friends who want to help them, and that they have some opposition that wants to put a stop to them.
I can’t wait to read the whole book because this has already drawn me in. It leaves off right from the first book and is written just as beautifully.

I cannot wait for the full book!! TJ Klune created such an amazing world and I never want it to end. This gave me the taste I needed to be way more excited than I already was.

This got me so excited for the actual book. Can't wait to dive into this world again. TJ. Klune is an auto buy author for me since House in the cerulean sea

I was so excited to receive this excerpt and although it wasn't the full book, I am still so happy that I got a sneak peak back into this world.
From what I read, TjJ Klune's writing still dazzles me and I can already tell I will fall right back into love with the setting and the characters. I am prepared to laugh, cry and love with my whole heart.

The followup to the whimsical House in the cerulean sea, this is now Arthur's story and where he gets to shine (or ahem, burn brightly may be more accurate). All of your favorite characters in the first book return in this delightful sequel as well as some fascinating new ones. Again themes of tolerance of others, acceptance of oneself, and found family ring throughout the pages. Makes you want to give an extra hug your kids, loved ones and pets.

I was hesitant to pick up this book, wondering if TJ Klune could follow up The House Across the Cerulean Sea with anything that would match its workmanship but from the excerpt I read of this book, I think he’s done it again.
Klune throw the reader back into the novel with the same intensity as the first and I can already see how whimsical, heart wrenching and beautiful this story will be. I will definitely be picking this one up as soon as it hits shelves.

I cannot wait for the full book! I don't really think it's fair to rate an excerpt of a book, so I'm picking four stars for now.

I cannot WAIT until this novel comes out. Stocking up on tissues because Klune always leaves me a blubbering mess. If the remaining pages are even half as good as this excerpt, I'm devouring it.

It’s so fun being back I. This world and with these characters. I cannot wait to get the full novel and finish out this leg of the story!!!

I loved this sample of T. J. Klune’s upcoming book and can’t wait for the full release. The House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my favorite books, and this sequel sounds - so far - like it will have many of the same cozy queer aspects that I loved so much in the first book!

Oh, how I have missed this fun, little family so much! The House in the Cerulean Sea has become one of my all-time favorite books and has been a yearly reread for me since it was released.
I was a little bit nervous to start this book, not because I don't trust the author, but because there have been so many sequels that don't live up to the first. This is absolutely not the case with this book! TJ Klune is back again in Somewhere Beyond the Sea with his classic humor that I I absolutely cannot get enough of! Not only is this book riotously funny with Lucy's usual antics, but it's also incredibly endearing. Linus, Arthur, Zoe, and all the kids, have such the most wonderful, healthy, and wild dynamic that I adore.

There is just enough in this excerpt for me to know I want to get my hands on the whole book. Years later, a new person cleans up the old house and takes on magical children to take care of. He is in a fight with the government who stills fears magical children. The charm of the first book is in this book as well. Great excerpt.

Loved the sneak peek for "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" and cannot wait for the full book to be released. Linus and Arthur are back and getting ready to introduce the world to the Magical community, but it won't be easy as humans don't adjust well to change or take kindly to that which they don't understand. Can't wait to see how their journey continues and really appreciated the backstory on Arthur before he became guardian to his magical kids.

It was all so cute and heartwarming! For a few chapters I returned to the fantastic world of The House in the Cerulean Sea that made me fall in love with Klune and his writing way back in 2020. I can't wait to read the full book this fall!

I was thrilled to be able to review this excerpt of SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA. THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA is one of my all-time favorite cozy reads, and I've been (I'm)patiently awaiting this follow-up. The charm, loveable characters, and magic of the first installment were very much here and proud in this sequel, and for that, I love the excerpt. I did, however, want a bit more clarity in the beginning. Having not read the first in two years, I was stepping back into the world needing to gain my footing. The start confused me at first, as I was unsure about the perspective and timing. A little more of a recap of the 1st book and a more direct entrance to the story could have been welcome. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the release date!

The first few chapters of "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" set the stage for a novel that dives into Arthur's backstory. The characters readers got to know and love through "House in the Cerulean Sea" are as engaging and well written as remembered.

The first few chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea are good so far! Can’t wait to read the rest in September!
