I didn’t realize that when I got an ARC for this book, it was just the first four chapters and now I’m miffed that I don’t get to pull an all nighter and gobble it up in one sitting 😠.
I ADORED the first book and from what I did get to read, this one has the same flow and humor as the first which is a good sign. Sadly I can’t give much of an opinion at this stage but consider me excited and hopeful!

I LOVED the first book, and I am beyond excited to read the rest of this story! The world, the characters, and the storytelling are just so incredibly inviting.
Although it’s hard to rate and review an excerpt of a novel, I’m almost 100% confident that this book will fully live up to the hype. I cannot wait to finish once it is published!!

I absolutely loved The House in the Cerulean Sea. To learn there’s a sequel was so exciting! I can’t wait to dive more into the lives of the beloved characters I’ve gotten to know and love. This one sounds like it’s going to be great!

Absolutely loved to see this written in Arthur’s perspective this time. As always TJ Klune is an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read the rest!

So excited to read the rest of this absolutely beautiful story! I loved the first book and cannot wait for this one!

I am constantly amazed by how well Klune can immerse readers into a world and give such compassion. I am beyond excited for the rest of the story!

It was so nice to be back in the world of Arthur and Linus and the kids on the island! These four short chapters grabbed my attention and mode me long for the full book and more of the kids and their emerging powers and Arthur's love and care for each of them, but most especially Lucy. I can't wait for the full book to be released and look forward to recommending it to those who've already been introduced to the Cerulean world as well as recommending to those who will be excited by a new series now that there are two books. Thank you to Tor, NetGalley, and TJ Klune for the early access to the these early chapters in exchange for my honest opinion.

Picking up where House in the Cerulean Sea left off, this novel is like a warm hug from all of your favorite characters. Arthur and Linus are back, loving each other and their magical bunch of magical children. Klune's trademark warmth, humor, and ability to write characters with depth and emotion creates an enthralling story . I was given an excerpt to review, and absolutely can't wait to read the rest of the book. I wait with baited breath.

I am very much looking forward to this being released and the excerpt was such a tease!! I loved seeing Arthur and Linus on the page again.. I fell in love with the story the first time, and I just cant wait to see what happens with these children and their magical life. Thanks so much for sharing this sneak peek! I am anxiously awaiting September!

Literally so excited to read the rest of this book after reading this excerpt! The House in the Cerulean Sea was a perfect glimpse into Arthur's life and the lives of the children, but because it doesn't come from his perspective. This book satisfies the itch of giving Arthur's point of view, and I'm so excited to read more!

The way I SCREAMED when I got the email I was approved for this excerpt!
I was so excited. "The House in the Cerulean Sea" is one of my favorite books of all time. "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" picks up almost a year after Cerulean Sea. Klune introduces us to a much younger Arthur and more of his backstory. We get a glimpse into what their lives have been like over the past year and the relationships Linus has developed with each one in the house. It's just as precious. I like that we have already seen such tender interactions between Linus and Arthur as they navigate DICOMY issues. These kids are some of my favorite book characters ever, and I can't wait to read the rest of their story.
It was only four chapters?? I NEED MORE. September 10th can't come soon enough! Thank you Netgalley, Tor Books, and TJ Klune for an advanced digital copy!

I loved being back in the atmosphere of this world! While Somewhere Beyond the Sea is already more intense than the House in the Cerulean Sea, the characters are just as engaging and loveable. I'm anxious to see where the story goes and how the trial resolves. I hope the hopeful triumphant nature of The House in the Cerulean Sea perseveres in the end, but no matter the details of the tale, I'm certain we're all in for a good story!

This excerpt was very interesting and made me super excited for the book’s release. TJ Klune just does it every time!

I am already so excited for this book! I know it's only an excerpt but it left me impatiently waiting to get my hands on the whole thing. I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea and I can already tell I'm going to love Somewhere Beyond the Sea.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for this arc except in exchange for an honest review.

I know it’s just an excerpt but I’m just so invested already and I’m desperate to know what happens next. Seeing Arthur’s side is a fascinating and revealing experience and I can’t wait to read more just as soon as possible.

It’s so good to be back in this world of magic of one of my favorite books. Reading these first few chapters reminded me just how much I’ve missed these characters and the found family they’ve created. It was nice getting a little snippet of Arthur’s return to the island so many years ago. I hope we get to see more of the earlier years with these characters and are able to see the growing pains of creating their family. I enjoyed the little moments between Arthur and Linus settling in to their relationship and balancing each other out when parenting the kids. AND THE KIDS. ugh I just love them so much. The scene of chaos in the kitchen and getting to see all the little interactions between the siblings in the first chapter just throws you back into the dynamic of this family and have crazy and wonderful they all are. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of this book!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the excerpt! I enjoyed the way the story picked up right where house in the cerulean sea left off. I enjoy the author’s use of imagery and descriptive language. I’m interested to see how the characters will evolve in the coming chapters. And how the story will continue in the future.

This was a fun sneak peek at what’s to come in this magical world on the cerulean sea. I’m excited to see the world continue to expand and to learn more about the politics and meet new characters in the sequel. Thank you Tor Publishing and NetGalley for the excerpt!

Just a little teaser but I am so excited to read this book! I can already tell it’s going to be amazing!

I wish so much that this was the full book rather than just an excerpt - I can't wait to read the whole story.
I'm glad that we're getting this part of the story from Arthur's viewpoint rather than Linus'. As the "magical being" it makes the most sense to set this story with him as the main storyteller. I love being back with the children on the island and I can feel their hope and trepidation at what the future holds. I loved the first book and I know I am already going to love this book so much.
