I can already tell by the first few chapters that I'm going to love this book! It has some of my favorite characters, a beautiful setting, and so many life lessons!

TJ Klune writes the most heartwarming and heartbreaking character and stories. There is so much love, skill and nuance in his work. I’m so happy to be back on the island, especially with my Chauncey. I can’t wait to continue the story.

I read an excerpt of the book, and I am so excited to read the rest of it, Cerulean Sea was such a nice cozy but still interesting fantasy and I think this one will be the same.

Thank you NetGalley and Tor Publishing for this opportunity!

The first four chapters were amazing! I can’t wait to read the full book. I loved the first book in the series, too, and this excerpt makes me excited for the rest.

I had the privilege of getting to read an excerpt of Somewhere Beyond the Sea, and after just four chapters, I'm already convinced it's a five-star read. TJ Klune masterfully deepens our connection with beloved characters, navigating them through a world filled with adversity yet they find moments of courage and joy. The story seems poised to explore the bravery of standing up for what's right in the face of hateful opposition—a timely and important theme. Laughter, tears, and a sense of perfection have marked my journey so far, leaving me anxiously anticipating the rest of this remarkable book.

A heartfelt thank you to TJ Klune, TOR books and NetGalley for this opportunity; this promises to be my favorite read of the year.

Huge thank you to Netgalley for this sneak peek of TJ Klune’s “Somewhere Beyond the Sea.” Since the moment I heard Klune was writing a sequel to “The House in the Cerulean Sea”, it’s been at the very top of my list of upcoming books. Spoiler alert: if this excerpt was any indication, the sequel is going to live up to the hype! Arthur, Linus, Zoe, and the whole gang feel like friends I’m catching up with after too long being away from each other. September 2024 can’t come fast enough!

I was so disappointed when I realized this was just an excerpt!! (My fault for not reading the title tho). I CANNOT wait to finish this book (further review to come when that happens)

From the short excerpt that I had the privilege go read, I am quite excited to see where this story takes the characters that I fell in love with during The House in the Cerulean Sea.

I’m so grateful to have been able to read this excerpt from the sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea. From the very first chapter, it felt like I was right back in this beautiful world, a fly on the wall for the chaos and whimsy that surrounds Arthur, Linus, and the children in their care. I’m so intrigued to learn more about this story when the book is released and to get to meet David! There were some more heavy handed moments when talking about the politician who seems to be modeled after Ron DeSantis and the like, but I’m glad these very real issues are being talked about. I can’t wait to read the whole thing!

I was given the opportunity to read the first four chapters of "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" by TJ Klune, and I can't express my gratitude enough. "The House in the Cerulean Sea" brought me out of a reading slump a few years ago, and was wonderfully cathartic. This newest installment of the Cerulean Chronicles promises to bring us back home to that magical house on the island, wrapping us in love and acceptance. From the first words I felt transported back to a place that felt like home. Thank you so much for letting me read this excerpt and give an honest review, I can't wait to read the rest!

The first four chapters of this book are just as delightful as House in the Cerulean Sea. Being back with these characters feels like coming home after a long day. I am so excited and cannot wait to read the rest of this book!

It was such a treat to get a sneak peek at the sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea. The only downside is I now have to wait four months to finish. I look forward to getting the audiobook for this. I hope it has the same narrator as the first because I could still clearly hear all the kids’ voices in my head while reading this excerpt.

I didn't realize in my browsing that this was an excerpt at first -- this definitely did not give me a full scope of the book or its arcs, growth, or pacing. Given that this book follows a beloved first novel in a sequence, I have no doubt that lovers of that book will want to read this anyhow, and I wish I had more to go off of for this review.

I've been waiting for a Cerulean sequel since I finished the it for the first in 2020. This excerpt brought me back to the cotton candy cloud oasis of happiness that Arthur and Linus have on Marsyas where we get to see them interact as an established couple raising their magical children. I know the pain is coming, but this excerpt reassured me that through it all, your found family will prevail. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book!!!!

When I first saw this book was being published, I immediately preordered it. Getting an arc, even just an excerpt, made me incredibly happy. What a great start to Somewhere Beyond the Sea! Starting this book, I was about in tears from getting a brief synopsis of Arthur’s dark and sad history. I loved being back with Linus, Arthur, Talia, Theodore, Sal, Phee, and Lucy, and seeing their family dynamics again. The coziness that Klune created in the beginning of this story was spectacular as usual. I am very excited to read the rest of the story once it is released!

I received an excerpt of this book curtesy of the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a review.

This was a lovely preview of Somewhere Beyond the Sea. It reminded me just how much I loved House in the Cerulean Sea, and the dynamics between all the kids and the adults who care for them. This excerpt just makes me all the more excited to read Somewhere Beyond the Sea when it comes out later this year!

This four-chapter teaser exceeded expectations.

In those few pages it evoked smiles, laughter, and even brought tears to my eyes, i wouldn’t have imagined we would be back into this universe but i’m thankful for klune.

for fans of this author, such emotional depth should come as no surprise and needless to say, i eagerly anticipate klune's upcoming release, can’t wait!

I adored The House in the Cerulean Sea and was thrilled to find a sequel forthcoming. I did not realize the ARC I was requesting was only a four-chapter excerpt. It is very hard to review part of a book, so I will just say that the excerpt makes me look forward to reading the whole thing! Sometimes sequels feel like a cash grab but this one seems like it will have a much beat and substance as the first book.

Thank you to Tor and NetGalley for providing an excerpt for review.

I'm so excited for this book! I received an excerpt from the novel from Netgally and the first 80 pages did not disappoint! I'm already hooked and emotionally invested in the characters again. I can't wait for this book to be released!
