I apparently completely missed that this was just an excerpt but even so it makes me SO excited to read the whole book. The House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my all time favorite novels and I can't wait to be back in this world with these characters.

It turns out I had forgotten very much of the first book in this series. I was reminded of the lovable characters early on, but much of the plot still escapes me - I’ll need to revisit it.
That said, I was provided a preview ARC of this book and it does pique my interest. TJ Klune is a fantastic writer and his well written LGBTQ+ (plus meaning Magic) themes are important especially in these literary-restricting times. I will need to read the full book and comlmete my review at a later date. Thanks NetGalley!

I cannot wait for this book to come out. This little excerpt was just the right amount to peak my interest, and I want more!! I love the first book in this series and I cannot wait for this one to come out! I definitely will be reading this sequel! Somewhere Beyond the Sea sounds absolutely magical and I cannot wait to have it in my hands!

Not to sound dramatic, but opening up this book literally felt like coming home. I was given the excerpt to the second book in the Cerulean Chronicles and I was so beyond happy because The House In The Cerulean Sea was one of my top books last year and this is a highly anticipated book for me, but now I am so mad….because it was only four chapters and I NEED MORE! Ugh I’m already hooked, TJ Klune is such a breath of fresh air. The characters are just as amazing as I remembered and chapter four is giving Professor Umbridge vibes, I seriously can’t wait to devour this story, I will be thinking about this book until I can read the rest and way after I’m finished! TJ Klune can I please have the rest?!

SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA is my most anticipated book of the year. Unfortunately, I cann0t judge a book by an excerpt. I expected to receive a full arc or nothing at all, and after thinking about it, decided not to read these four chapters. I prefer to wait. THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA is one of my favorite fantasy books. But so was LEGENDS & LATTES and its prequel was so terrible that I DNF it. So no. Sorry, but I can't ask anyone to read this book without reading it by myself first.

I cannot Wait to get my hands on the full book I cannot wait to read more than what I just got. One of my favorite reviews of the first book was a big gay hug and I feel like this one is also going to be just another wave of love, I’m so excited to get this in my hands

How dare you Tease me with this?! Lol Klune is a great writer, and this excerpt has just made me want more of it. His writing style is always fun and I’m ready to finish this story sooner, rather than later. I was so ecstatic when I received the email and a little disappointed that It was only an excerpt however I still loved it!

Although the four chapter excerpt was only a big tease...it was amazing! I was a HUGE fan of the original work and this lives up to the first book in the series. The first four chapters are everything you'd hope it would be including all the usual characters, Linus, Arthur, and the gang of amazingly talented children. It is heartwarming and fun with a writing style that makes you want to do better in this world. I can't wait to read the full story.

Safe to say I'm even more excited by this sequel having read the excerpt. It's so lovely to see the family that Linus and Arthur have cultivated, back at it again, and this time with something to really fight for.

I have had this book preordered since it was announced so perhaps I am a little biased, but wow this excerpt containing the first four chapters was incredible! I loved diving back into this world and seeing even more beautiful character development. It was so sweet to read of the character dynamics and relationships since the ending of The House in the Cerulean Sea. I also love how this is such a cozy comfort series to me and yet it addresses such important topics so powerfully. TJ Klune has such a way with words and I am beyond excited to read the book in its entirety come September.

The house in the cerulean sea is one of my all time favorite books. Somewhere beyond the sea is a perfect sequel to give the reader a full picture of what happened “after”. To be honest I am sad this was only an excerpt as I simply cannot wait for the fall when the full story is released. The writing style is true to TJ Klune which is a big reason why I enjoy reading these books so much. His story telling is unrivaled. I will be posting a full review on my TikTok when I have the privilege of reading the complete story.

I really wasn’t expecting a sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea (especially 4 years later), but oh my goodness I forgot how much I adored these characters! Especially hilariously adorable Chauncey.

Gotta say, 4 chapters felt like quite a bit of a tease, especially considering how eager I was to hear what Arthur had to say at his hearing (very intrigued by Arthur as a whole and his back story). But I suppose that just makes me all the more excited to continue this book when it’s available!

I can’t wait to read on and immerse myself back into this lovely world. So far, SO good!!

I can’t believe there is a sequel and it is nothing short of amazing! This book will absolutely be on my “ to be read AGAIN l list. I could not put it down!

Ahh it’s like going back home to the island. I was bummed to find this was only an excerpt (should’ve read the title better, but I got excited!). But reading about all my favorite characters again was exactly what I needed and made me so eager for the entire book. The snippet before the chapters begin had me really wondering what’s to come in this story. Excited to read the full book!

This excerpt was the prologue and the first 4 chapters and I was instantly brought back into the home and family from House in the Cerulean Sea. Without spoilers this gives all the same warm fuzzy feelings of the first book with an exciting and nerve-wracking storyline that has be desperate for the rest of the book. September can't come soon enough!

What a tease only getting the first 4 chapters! I absolutely cannot wait to finish this and dive back in to this world.
