Thank you so much to the author and the publisher for this sample in exchange for an honest review!
I cannot wait to dive back into this world. This sample was not nearly long enough, and reinforces my decision to have preordered this book months ago, when it was first announced. September cannot come soon enough!

Thank you Tor and Netgalley for the preview! Took my right back to the House in the Cerulean Sea. The excerpt was lovely and I’m just biding my time for my preorder to come in. I need more.

I was so excited to read the excerpt for this and TJ Klune did not disappoint. Based on the chapters I was provided, I firmly believe this will be my new favourite of his books. Reading this felt like coming home and reuniting with those you love, which is a testament to TJ’s talents in strong character development and storytelling. Now if only one of the magical kids could speed time up so I can devour this whole book now!
Thank you Tor Publishing Group, TJ Klune and NetGalley for the advanced excerpt of this incredible story.

Tantalizing teaser, brought me right back to why I loved the first book and why I know many of us are excited to return to these characters and also the feeling of this world. Thank you for the early teaser read!

It is so lovely to have read a sequel that feels like the warmest and coziest hug just like the first book. The Marsyas gang has the ability to make my heart flutter no matter how long it’s been since I last experienced their world and read about them.
The first 3 chapters are full of nostalgia and spurts of growth and absolute sweetness. However, as the 4th chapter ends we get into the nitty-gritty of the story's plot. And boy, I can tell it’s going to be a good one. September can NOT come soon enough!
Thank you Tor and Netgally for the excerpt!🫶🏻

The highly awaited follow-up to The House in the Cerulean Sea is scheduled for release this September! I had the privilege of receiving an early excerpt, so while I can't provide a detailed review just yet, I can share that the story continues shortly after the events of its predecessor. Arthur Parnassus and Linus Baker find themselves caring for the charming and lively magical children of their unique orphanage on Marsyas Island, living out their ideal scenario. However, when Arthur is summoned to the city to testify about his own troubled history, a new challenge emerges. I thoroughly enjoyed this excerpt and eagerly anticipate the full release! Many thanks to Tor Publishing for providing the advanced excerpt in exchange for my honest (and early) thoughts.

An incredible first peek at this highly anticipated novel. As expected, the excerpt is bursting with charm and the storytelling is top notch.
No notes! Perfection.

Suuuuper excited to have read an excerpt of this book thanks to NetGalley!! The first four chapters felt like warm sun on my face after weeks of rain- I am beyond excited to read about Arthur protecting his family (and stand up for all magical beings), gett more of the Marsyas gang’s stories and adventures and immerse myself in TJ Klune’s beautiful writing and story-telling.

LOVED this excerpt and cannot WAIT for the full book - trademark Klune writing full of wit and heart with characters we already love.

I was able to read an excerpt of Somewhere Beyond the Sea and it was everything I needed! Arthur, Linus, and the children are back and the antics haven’t stopped. I cannot wait to read the rest of this book! Thank you NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group for an early glimpse of Somewhere Beyond the Sea!

First of all, let me just say how grateful I was to receive this blurb early! I could not believe I could be so lucky! It felt so good to be back with Arthur, Linus and all of the wonderful children we have all grown to love! I was beyond ecstatic to learn this book is from Arthrur’s POV! I am very interested to learn more about him and to see where this next book will take us! Looking forward to absolutely blowing through this book once it is release in September!!

Somewhere Beyond the Sea is the sequel we have all been waiting for. This excerpt gives us just enough to know that TJ Klune nailed it with this follow up to The House in The Cerulean Sea. I can not wait to get the full book and finish this amazing story!
Thank you NetGalley & Tor Publishing Group for an ARC copy of this book.

I absolutely loved the previous book that it was a no-brainer that I would pre-order this one right away. I am eagerly waiting to see what is in store for these amazing characters in this instalment. The excerpt clearly leaves us at a key juncture in the book where some major things are about to be unraveled and I for one cant wait to know what is DICOMY planning for Arthur and Linus. I’m looking forward to reading the full book!

I was ecstatic to dive into an excerpt of this story. When it comes to sequels, I often fret over forgetting crucial details from the first book, but that concern was swiftly dispelled here. The author skillfully reintroduces all the characters, seamlessly immersing readers back into their world. The joy that Arthur and Linus found at the conclusion of The House in the Cerulean Sea persists, the orphans remain delightful, and there's an intriguing sense of impending darkness. I can hardly wait to delve deeper into the story when the full book is released in September!

This was my introduction to T.J. Klune's work, and I was thoroughly captivated by the excerpt. I can't wait to delve deeper into the story and eagerly anticipate getting my hands on the full book when it's released!

Big thank yous to Netgalley, TJ Klune, and Tor Publishing for letting me read this excerpt.
I am SO excited to read the whole thing in September. I wasn't sure what I was expecting for a sequel to House in the Cerulean Sea. I sort of wondered what Klune might do to give it the stakes that the first one did. I am both excited and nervous to see what's in store for Arthur and Linus as they engage with Extremely Upper Management and DICOMY. Just like Arthur, I wrestle with the choice to hide away in my cozy safe spaces while at the same time feeling that call to use my position and privilege to advocate for those with less access to places of power. It's a scary proposition.
I love seeing Sal growing into the person he'll become as an adult and when he talks with Arthur about listening to the hearings I felt in in my heart.
September can't come fast enough!

I was thrilled to read an excerpt of this story. With sequels, I always worry I’ll have forgotten too many details from the first book, but that isn’t the case here. The author reintroduces everyone seamlessly. The happiness Arthur and Linus earned at the end of The House in the Cerulean Sea continues, the orphans are fantastic, and there is a sense of looming darkness. I’m looking forward to reading more in September when the book is released.

Thank you to Tor and Netgalley for the chance to read an early excerpt! The House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my favorite books of all time. I am constantly recommending it to friends and family, so I'm excited that there is now going to be a sequel! I was immediately thrilled to be back with Arthur et al again. The opening 4 chapters had all the trademark charm and wit that I count on from TJ Klune. I cannot wait until the full book releases and I can continue the story!

The smile I had one my face coming back to this island and this family… it truly is magical how T.J. Klune can make even my cold, dark heart so happy!
While only a four chapter excerpt, Klune was able to suck me in, yet again (as if I hadn’t already pre-ordered the moment this book was announced). In four chapters alone, I laughed out loud, I teared up, and I grabbed my protest signs ready to rally! This excerpt hints that we’ll get a closer look into Arthur’s dark past and fall in love with new enchanting characters, all while supporting the right to life, love, and happiness for all.
Thank you Tor Publishing, NetGalley and TJ Klune for this advanced digital excerpt; September can’t come fast enough!

While this excerpt is short, it builds excitement and confidence in the rest of the book. I’m looking forward to reading the full story!
