Somewhere Beyond the Sea Excerpt by TJ Klune the sequel to The house in the Cerulean Sea gives one enough of a taste to definitely want to read the whole story when it comes out. The characters are odd to say the least but these books have a lot of good things to say about accepting everyone for who they really are and should be read by everyone.

I should have read this listing more closely, but the title got cut off on the main page and I got so excited that this sequel was available that I didn't bother looking at the full listing before requesting... and so I didn't know it was only an excerpt. Still excited for the book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Sadly this is only an excerpt. Absolutely fantastic and I’m eagerly awaiting to read the entire novel.

I can’t wait to read the whole book! I love the characters and am excited to future explore the story. I have loved everything by this author and am honored to read an excerpt.

This excerpt is a very strong start to the story. It organically provides information about the characters' personalities and abilities, and group dynamics. It also sets up what will be the main plot of the story. I'll definitely come back to read the reast once it's released!

I had no idea this was an excerpt! Whenever I read TJ Klunes novels I’m instantly transported to a magical place of comfort and imagination. The first book was a 5⭐️ read for me, and I can already tell this will be too!

What a tease!! Omg this makes me even more excited for the actual book! Thank you for the opportunity to read this excerpt! I absolutely adored the first book and rated it 5 stars and I have no doubt this will earn the same rating

TJ Klune is a fantastic writer. It feels like YA / children's but completely engrosses the adult. I feel like the words just come spilling out of him without any work because they are that easy to read. However, I didn't realize that this was an excerpt, not a whole book. Very frustrating.

The House in the Cerulean Sea is my favorite book ever I literally screamed when I saw TJ Klune wrote a sequel. Based of the four chapter excerpt I already know I’m going to be obsessed with this book. Will almost definitely be in my top five reads of this year

Absolutely incredible; I have no notes - and that is a true rarity. September cannot come soon enough for me to get lost again in this world.

TJ Klune is an excellent writer, with both a riveting plot and well-developed characters. This excerpt of Somewhere Beyond the Sea makes me eager for the full book! I loved the first book and am so excited to read the remainder of Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Publishing for providing this excerpt, with my honest review below.
Ever since I read The House in the Cerulean Sea I fell in love with TJ Klune’s magical writing about orphans who needed some love and equality and their carers, Arthur and Linus. As a result I’m not shocked I gobbled down the excerpt of Somewhere Beyond the Sea. While I wished it were the whole book, this excerpt proved incredibly promising with a revisit back to the magical world Klune created. And I thought the timing very significant given this book mirrors the struggles we are seeing amongst children today, without voices of their own (or not being heard) and those fighting for them. I can’t wait to read the rest, but this was the perfect taste of what’s to come - and I couldn’t be more excited!

I have had this book preordered since It was announced by TJ Klune and I was not disappointed, I love seeing Arthur and Linus interact with each other. I also love seeing them interact with the kids Arthur being more relaxed and Linus worried about them but equally loving them. It was great to know a little more about Arthurs past and him taking back the place where he had received a great deal of trauma. I love that he decided to give kids like him a good childhood. I cannot wait for this book to come out I think this will become a comfort series for me a world where I can return to that will give me some peace in this very hectic world.
I received an excerpt of this book curtesy of the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a review.

This was an excellent story with well thought out characters. I was engaged the entire time and would recommend this book to others.

I cannot wait to read the whole book and buy copies to give away to all my friends. It was like going home again.

The excerpt I read of this was well written and engaging. If it is anything like the first, it will be a huge hit. Looking forward to reading the whole book once it's available. Thanks to NetGalley for preview/excerpt. #SomewhereBeyondtheSea

I literally SCREECHED when I got this email in my inbox because this is possibly my most anticipated read of 2024 and getting just the smallest glimpse at it has literally made my week. I love Linus, I love Arthur, I love a glimpse of their domestic life and the political world we got in the first few chapters and I cannot wait to read more.
And yes, I would die for every one of these children.
I'm literally frothing at the mouth for more. I will be (im)patiently waiting for the full thing to come out.

I fell head over heels with TJ Klune when The House in the Cerulean Sea came out and have been enamored ever since. I never thought there would be another book about this island of magical creatures and love that overcomes all, and yet, here we are.
I am lucky to have gotten an ARC Excerpt of the first four chapters of the second book and it took me a moment to get acclimated but I quickly fell back in love with all of my favourite characters. It sparked the love that I felt when reading the first book and my only bummer is that it’s not a full ARC and we all have to longingly wait to fully be encompassed in this world again.
TJ Klune is a master when it comes to grounded, magical, unwitting family coming together. Truly counting down the days until September 10th.

I really enjoyed reading this excerpt. The writing was well done and drew me in quickly. I loved the fact that all of the characters from the first book were reintroduced in this one, especially since it’s been around two years since I read the first one. I will say, I’m a little nervous about the potential political maneuvering of this plot; it made me slightly stressed. That being said, I’m looking forward to more characters being introduced including the new child. One of my favorite things about the first book was the found-family and cozy-ish fantasy aspects of it, so I am hoping that will be present this time around. Nevertheless, I was intrigued and will be looking forward to reading the full work whenever it is published.

I simply cannot wait until I can read the whole book! It was so amazing to see these characters again. Very much looking forward to the full version so we can continue to follow along with these characters again!
