The book is a bee sting of mushiness and a perfect read for fans of single parent romance books. The book follows Heath a 'grumpy' professor whose neighbor is a beekeeper. But how can one avoid the pull of an eight year old who also loves his dog. It's a heartwarming story of finding love unexpectedly and facing fears.

I love second chance romances and stories that inspire and move you forward. This book was so enjoyable, fun and inspirational. The strong characters were realistic and heartwarming. Ali and Heath were each so guarded and from past loss and hurt neither was willing to risk their heart. There were conflicts but also a lot of humor and love always wins. A well written, charming and easy to read storyline that tugs at the heartstrings. Everyone will enjoy this uplifting romantic story.

This book made me want to live in Lagrasse, Georgia where the community bonds together to help each other. I was fascinated learning about Ali Harding's bee hives and the products she made from honey. I liked that she was given a surprise second chance when Heath arrived to clean out his parent's house next door. It was fun to see how Ali's son bonded with Heath and his dog Trooper. It was also amusing how Heath feared the bees. I look forward to reading more sweet books with wonderful characters living in Lagrasse.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more books! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

“facing his fears could give him the family he’s always wanted.”⁣

heath returns to town to clean out his childhood house. when he makes the mistake of removing the eyesore of a fence, he finds himself at odds with his beekeeping neighbor. to make matters worse, he’s terrified of bees, but ali can’t afford to give them up. ⁣

of course, as they continue to cross paths, they realize they may not have to be enemies (especially since her son bonded so quickly with his dog)—but neither heath nor ali is ready for romance…⁣

the beekeeper next door (danielle thorne + love inspired) is a sweet, sweet story (i mean, there’s plenty of honey, after all). it’s full of summer vibes and outdoorsy moments, and there is plenty of fun to be had within its pages. it’s not without its serious moments, though, as both heath and ali have past baggage to let go, and i enjoyed seeing their growth over the many obstacles.⁣

it’s a quick read, but will surely warm the hearts of interested contemporary-romance readers.⁣

The thing you fear most...

The universe has an ironic sense of humor. Heath has an unhealthy (but reasonable) fear of bees.
Ironically, his neighbor, single mother, Ali is a beekeeper. That's cool, we need more beekeepers in this fragile world. His dog and her son bond, and while there is little to no romance in this book, as it stays squeaky clean.

The Beekeeper Next Door was an adorable story. A mother and her son both end up connecting with the neighbor next door, and while she tries to deny it, she ends up falling in love. The side story of beekeeping was so much fun too! Wonderful love Inspired story.

The Beekeeper Next Door by Danielle Thorne
An Uplifting Inspirational Romance
Facing his fear
Could give him the family he’s always wanted.
Returning to his hometown to clean up his late parents’ home, professor Heath Underwood has no intention of making his stay permanent. Especially when he discovers his neighbor is a beekeeper. But avoiding widow Ali Harding proves difficult when her eight-year-old son bonds with him and his dog. As Heath spends more time with them, his fear of bees—and heartbreak—could stand in the way of his happily-ever-after…
this is professor Heath Underwood's story.
this Ali Harding's story
Ali Harding paid no mind to the barking dog in the distance when she walked out of the back door with a toolbox in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. The new beehives were still in their packages waiting to be assembled not far from the active colonies, and it was a warm, sunny day—the perfect time to work in west Georgia’s unpredictable spring weather. The dog woofed again, and Ali squinted toward the Underwood property. Instead of an excited fur ball, she saw a man with wire cutters bent over her droopy chain-link fence. Ali dropped her things to the ground and watched. Mrs. Underwood had passed away last year and didn’t have a dog.
“Hello?” She mustered a patient smile. “Um, hi. I’m Ali Harding, and this is my land.” The man brushed his chest with an old glove. “Heath Underwood. I guess I’m your neighbor.” “I didn’t know the property was sold.” Heath’s smile flinched. “It didn’t. My mother passed away six months ago, and I’m getting the place cleaned up.” “You must be Ms. Margo’s son,” said Ali as it came together.
I recommend this book.
The Beekeeper Next Door by Danielle Thorne is a 5 star book.

I loved this sweet romance and the heroine who's a beekeeper was a neat twist. As I've never seen that in a romance novel.

A college professor, a beekeeper, a little boy, and a dog make for a sweet story. Heath and Ali are both given a second chance at love. Will they take it?

I very much appreciated the twists and turns in the plot. It kept this book very interesting! What I would have loved to have seen is some romance. There was little to no chemistry or tension in the book, and no confession of feelings until the very last part of the book. I do realize that this is a clean romance, but I was expecting more in the romance department.

What a sweet and funny read. I wanted something laid back and this fit the bill.
I just love Charlie. I consider him an old soul just because of some of the things he says to Heath. Such wise words!
Yes, that's what life is all about. Getting hurt is a big part of it but we also can learn from it. This is from Charlie.
I feel like they've become my family and I didn't want to let them go.
It didn't take me long to finish since it was a short book. I loved it so much! I hope Charlie keeps his wisdom and I hope that we will get to watch him grow up.
Trooper was a good dog iny opinion he was the star of the show. He made me laugh at times. Dogs are nosy by nature lol.
5 stars for a cute and fun read. I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this sweet book. I was NOT required to write a positive review.

Heath and Ali are such opposites in "The Beekeeper Next Door" by Danielle Thorne. Ali the beekeeper is a widow with a young son, struggling to get her small business to grow. Heath, a professor, just lost his mom and is cleaning up her house and property to rent and he is scared to death of bees. I liked how the author used various circumstances to bring these two together. There are great supporting characters and the son is just adorable!

The premise of a beekeeper selling her products in her cousin's small store and at a local farmers market make this one a great summer read! As with most Love Inspired books, this one is a quick sweet read and is everything you'd want in one of these books.

Thank you to Harlequin Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to review this ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Professor Heath Underwood is undertaking the daunting task of cleaning out his late mother's home. Her hoarding tendencies have left an overwhelming job for him. Sometimes it is easier to work out of doors than face the interior of the house.
Ali Harding is determined to work her land and make it profitable so that she can have the income needed to care for her little boy. Now she is faced with the son of her neighbor who is equally determined to make things hard for her. His clearing of land and fences could endanger her bees.
Heath and Ali are facing some big problems. She needs her beekeeping endeavor to be successful. He is absolutely petrified of bees.
I really enjoyed this sweet story. I received an advanced reader's e-copy from Harlequin through NetGalley. This is my own unsolicited opinion. The author, Danielle Thorne, created tension, angst, growing attraction and caring between the characters. The addition of Ali's typical little boy and Heath's dog makes for interesting drama and joy. This is a good read.

The Beekeeper Next Door is a cute romantic story. A widowed woman with a young son is trying to make a living with her bees when a man with a dog arrives to the house behind her to clean out his parents house after they die. You know how this story is going to end but just not how it gets there. It dragged along in the middle; almost to the point of repeating situations and then it seemed like all of a sudden it had to rush to end the story.

A sweet romance. There is a bit of a sting now and then. A young boy and a dog add to the charm of the tale. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

I found this book to have a cute storyline which included a precious 8 year old boy, a dog and of course bees. What mischief they all 3 found themselves in. The two main characters, Heath and Ali, both had losses that caused them to fear having a relationship beyond friendship. Follow along as Ali struggles financially with getting her honey business up and running and Heath also struggles with his fear of bees and having to clean out his deceased mothers home next door to Ali. Will they both be able to learn to depend on God to help them overcome these obstacles and learn to lean upon God and each other for strength?
