I feel haunted by this text. m. nourbeSe philip's work excavates texts that were used to dehumanize, erase, and reduce enslaved Black people to property - and gives rise to a ghost chorus. What was used to obliterate now resounds in a different way- chronicles that erasure and imagines beyond. "Zong! is a haunting lifeline between archive and memory, law and poetry" is right. I'll return to this again and again. Thank you for the arc.
