I just adore Ms. Ridley's books. Especially this series. Very book cracks me up! Those Wild Wynchesters are just so lovable! I want to be their friend!

This book was about Elizabeth aka Beth the Berserker. Elizabeth is the sword/weapon wielding Wynchester. I was so looking forward to her story! The male lead is Stephen Lenox. Stephen was doing a favor for his cousin when Elizabeth arrived and beat on his door. What a fascinating way to meet and perfect for each of their characters. Both are so quirky and so perfect together.

I am so thankful I got the chance to read this story. I can't wait for the next one!

Yet another Erica Ridley extravaganza and it didn’t disappoint! I’m both excited for the next one and sad it will probably be the last. Thanks for another one.

I loved HOT EARL SUMMER!  As always, the characters are delightful and the story is wildly entertaining. The mystery is almost unsolvable but the ensuing romance is delectable (no porn).  I can hardly wait for Jacob’s tale!
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book with no strings attached.

Been waiting for this book for what seems like years.
Sometimes wanting something so much means when you get it you're disappointed. Not in this case.

Elizabeth, Beth the Beserker, is the Wynchester that we know least about before this book, she's always been there but no detail. Now with her family busy with so many clients, when a new client arrives, asking for help to find sisters will and the deeds to the family castle, Elizabeth is the only one free to take on the job. Her family have made her promise not to kill anyone, as apparently that's her greatest wish. On arriving at the castle she finds not the earl who has gambled it away and refused to acknowledge he's not the rightful owner, but his cousin Stephen who invents things, apparently very lucratively.
The chap who won the castle on the turn of a card is determined to get the castle and threatens all out war, where he's dishonorable enough to cheat. A wonderful battle ensues with the strengths of all the Wynchesters and Stephen's melding to form a battle plan.

I loved the humour of the book, and how all the characters work so well together, and finally learning more about Elizabeth. The books is well written and the characters well drawn. I loved how all the family strengths worked together.
But I have a few niggles, we don't learn what has made Elizabeth so blood thirsty, the background given doesn't explain much other than why she stands up for the underdog. Stephen is described as a tinker, which has different meanings depending on where you live. Here a tinker is someone who sells door to door historically from a wagon, and is often a derogatory term. So Stephen isn't the chap we'd want our heroine to become involved with. He's be an inventor of designer. Countries divided by a common language. I know Stephen is an inventor but every time I read tinker I thought of the other.I
The Earl defined through the whole book as weak and nasty, turns out to be very likeable and a little dim.

From past books and this I can't wait to see Jacob's book.

Hot Earl Summer by Erica Ridley is a fun read that had me rooting for and laughing with our heroine throughout the story.

Elizabeth Winchester is happiest when she has her sword in her hand a target lined up to use it on, she doesn’t like children, adores her siblings, and though she won’t admit it, wants to find love.

When her family is given a mission at the Earl of Densmore’s castle, she is ready to stab the man and be done with it.

She is belated with mishaps, the pinnacle of which is being locked in the castle with the Earl! Only it isn’t the Earl, but his cousin who was convinced to impersonate him. Elizabeth finds herself falling for the cousin, Stephen.

Can she remain true to the mission, get the guy, AND save the castle from the Earl?

This book had lovely word play, made me genuinely like the characters, both main and secondary and now I have to go back and read about the rest of the Winchester’s adventures.

Read this book!

Arguably one of the most exceptional titles in historical romance literature.

Amidst the turmoil of a castle siege, their passion ignites, weaving a seductive tale that captivates and as their eccentric family gathers the scene is set for an iconic reunion.
