Reveals help us try to piece together what really happened,
I love thrillers and enjoy trying to figure out whodunit ~sometime I am real close! ~ But I was way off on this one.
It was a quick read

Although this is AJ (Amanda) Campbell sixth psychological thriller it was only my second.

In About the Author – We are told she draws inspiration for her stories from seemingly unbelievable situations in which ordinary people find themselves. She creates compelling characters that resonate with her readers.
AJ lives in the UK with her husband, sons, and cocker spaniel,

In her ‘A Letter from AJ Campbell’ she tells us she is often where she gets her ides. In this case she when she read an article in the paper about a hit-and-run in her local paper. She got her thinking if they were sorry – could they be forgiven? This started her creative mind.

Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this early eGalley.

Christina discover that her husband is in the hospital. This leads to questions about him that Christina discovers.
He was once cleared of a scandal at the school where he works but it begins to see he actually was guilty of that and other secrets.
Christina also has her own closed of secrets that she can't let out.
Is it best if her husband dies rather than living and taking the family down with the revelation of his deepest secret.

This was a don't put me down book. It read quickly and pulls the reader in so that the mind becomes focused solely on the story.

Don’t say it, don’t say it, don’t say it…….. my favourite book by the author so far!!

God this book, the twist was mindblowing and so unexpected, I was suspicious of EVERYONE, even good old Glenda the nurse at one point 😂

Alongside the main plot, there were so many other stories, secrets, deceitfulness, grooming, health, moody teens and a 1st husband who needs a second chance. The author always gives so much to her readers, lots to dissect and unravel.

Pre-order now, this is a book not to be missed!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did I Kill My Husband? by AJ Campbell is an absolutely addictive and suspenseful psychological thriller with a jaw-dropping twist! That twist!!! I gasped out loud "Oh NO!"
This thriller grabbed me from the first page! It was so easy to connect with the story and characters!
I absolutely loved the dynamics between Christina and Ted! If you want a brother you want one like Ted!

When Christina hit something with her car she was positive it was an animal. The weather is horrible and is pitch black and she can't see anything so she leaves... When police officers knock on her door and inform her that her husband Michael is in the hospital fighting for his life she is terrified. There is a high possibility that she is behind the hit-and-run!
The question is - what to do now? The better question is - what the hell was Michael doing on that road in time when he was supposed to be at home looking after children?
Christina wasn't ready for so many secrets buried behind her husband's back but who is she to judge?

Thank you, NetGalley and Bookouture for this copy! I highly recommend it to everyone who loves fast-paced pageturners!

Another fantastic book by AJ Campbell. I really enjoyed reading this one, waiting impatiently to find out when the gripping storyline with unfold.

Christina is driving home one night after a drink at the pub with her brother, on her way home her car hits something. She checks outside around the car, but when she couldn't see anything she assumed the animal had run off. Little did she know, it wasn't an animal she hit. It tears Christina apart keeping her secret when the truth comes out, but little does she know her husband is keeping some secrets too!

I found this book hard to put down, unpredictable and really enjoyable to read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Hands down my favourite book yet. The grip this book had on me was tight. As with all of Amanda's books they are fast paced and really do capture you from page 1 but this was next level.

When she said to me that this was her biggest twist yet, she wasn't kidding and my guesses were nowhere near. Simply brilliant.

If you haven't guessed already I'm a big fan and I'm already excited for the next book to come.

In this book we follow Christina, who is driving home one night in terrible weather and suddenly runs over something. She doesn’t see anything when she gets out of her car, assumes it was an animal that ran away, and heads home.
So when the police knock on her door and break the news that her husband has been hit by a car, she panics and doesn’t know what to do.

I really enjoyed this book! I’m a big fan of super short chapters and this one was laid out perfectly. It has tons of suspense, and while I did somehow figure out the big twist towards the end, I fully chalk that up to me reading an absolute ton of thriller books… I can absolutely see many readers not knowing what would happen. It was a great read that I stayed up late to finish, and I will absolutely recommend to all thriller fans!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Bookouture for my advanced copy!

A fast moving, quick changing, well plotted ‘Whodunit’/ ‘DId I do it’? story that started as well as it finished
Christina is not really that happy…….but she wouldn’t want to kill her husband….would she?,as the story goes on it turns out her husband was even less of a good man than she realised as literally daily new secrets come to light….however other characters we meet are equally up to no good…..the problem is who can Christina trust?..
I LOVED how I was convinced on more than one occasion I had this all solved and knew exactly who had done what and was completely wrong….the sign of a great thriller…..it is very cleverly written by this author
It is a very engaging story that once started I pretty much read in one go as there was little option not to as I wanted to know the outcome
A really good story that ticked and more every box for me

4.5 rounded up to a 5

This book will grab you right from the start and not let go. Christina has just left a night out with her twin brother, when she hits an animal with her car... Or is it an animal?

Later, as her husband is in the hospital in a coma, Christina starts finding out that things things in her marriage might not be as they appear.

This book was really well done. There was enough characters to keep you guessing but not enough to be overwhelming. I loved the familial aspect where most of the characters were family members. It is paced very well, and you will find yourself reading 'just one more chapter' until you have finished the book in one sitting.

The ending was a little rushed, and I found myself wanting one final chapter or an epilogue for a final wrap up. Overall, a very gripping read that I will still be processing over the next few days.

Overall I really enjoyed this highly suspenseful psychological thriller about a woman who hits something with her car while driving in a storm and then finds the police at her front door informing her that her husband has been the victim of a hit-and-run. The female main character’s investigation into her husband’s whereabouts the night of the accident, combined with her spiralling guilt gripped me from the very first page.

This is the second bone-chilling thriller I’ve read by AJ Campbell - I also thoroughly enjoyed My Perfect Marriage.

The mind-bending twist at the end had me on the edge of my seat. It took me completely by surprise!

Ultimately I highly recommend this book to any lovers of psychological thrillers like The Housemaid, The Silent Patient or Verity.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

I really enjoyed Did I Kill My Husband. It was fast paced and there was never really any lull in the story. She got going with the plot right out from the gate. No slow build up, just bam...I hit my husband with my car. It definitly drew me in and kept me reading. I really wanted to know what happened.

The main character was a little annoying. How many times can you bite your knuckle and she was still super hung up on her ex husband. I wish she'd explored Michael a little more. He seemed like a really bad guy and she just kind of casually threw that in there. I don't want details, considering the KIND of bad guy he seemed to be, but I also felt like I wanted to know a little more.

I really enjoyed Ted. How did he know all these people? lol

I was slightly disappointed with the ending, everything seemed shoved into the last few chapters as it wrapped up, but overall I really did enjoy it. It kept me engaged, I never got bored and I really wanted to know what was going on.

A.J. Campbell knows how to write a thrilling book filled with twists! At the beginning of the book the wife hits something with her car and finds out later it may have been her husband. Her husband is in a coma and she is devastated. The characters are well developed and just when you think you have it figured out, another twist comes!

SPOILERS INCLUDED.
DID I KILL MY HUSBAND is a mystery thriller. Christina is driving home in a downpour when she feels a bump. She gets out in the storm to see what she hit, but doesn't find anything. Later on she is awoke by two police visiting to tell her, Michael is in the hospital. He was found after a driver hit him and left him for dead. The story goes on from there. Did Christina hit him???
Does someone know????

The story has a strong start, then slows down and finally picks up at the end. I didn't really care too much for Christina as she seems to constantly be whinning about her first husband cheating on her. When she was in the outbuilding I was kinda hoping Michael would be the survivor. I did like the character Ted and thought there would be more to him. He has all these friends who can do things and owe him favors. Overall, I found the story drew me in, then was a little boring and picked up. It was a little boring at times and I would lay the book down, then come back to it. From the description, I was thinking I could finish it in one sitting as it is only around 300 pages.
