Thank you for the egalley of this book to read and give an honest review.
What drew me in: the cover. It's the male model from another series I love, so that caught my eye right away.
Then the description was interesting. Good girl/bad boy. I love this trope! Plus food!
The characters have great chemistry. Really liked Cami. She gave sass and took none. Pretty sure her sass is exactly what Julian needs. Everyone walking on eggshells and she's pretty much just herself and not worrying about how it will effect him. Possibly the best thing for him.
The plot is interesting. Again, love this trope. The slow burn of the romance is the best. I love a good build up. And the way the author describes things, just the kissing alone has me simmering. I do wish the PTSD would have had more resolution but it didn't take away from me liking the story line.
The pacing was great, definitely kept me reading.
Overall I really enjoyed this one. Seems to be a stand alone, though there were a few things still hanging at the end.
Would recommend to older young adults and young adults alike.

Cami is 17, finishing up her senior year of high school, when a wounded Marine (her step-mother's nephew) moves in with the family, wreaking havoc on Cami's life. Julian is 20 and has a major chip on his shoulder, which is understandable since he lost some friends in an IED explosion, along with one of his legs. Unfortunately, he seems to have a major problem with Cami, and they rub each other wrong from the get go. The interesting stuff happens when they start getting along, as you would expect.

I read that "fans of Katie McGarry will devour this book," and Katie even wrote a blurb for it. I have to agree with this statement, and since I love Katie's books, I enjoyed this one.. I had a bit of a problem getting past the fact that Cami was underage when they met, but she was close to 18, so I got past that pretty quickly. The story also dragged a bit in the second half of the book, but I liked the ending.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Sabrina Elkins' work.

4/5 stars.

This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

This book made me hungry. It was a solid romance and the couple had great chemistry. Julian fit all the check marks for a perfect romance hero, and I loved how gentle and compassionate he was.
