I also listened to the audiobook & I thought the narrators did a fantastic job! I had heard of Patrick Seller before & just like his previous work, I enjoyed it immensely! Victoria Connolly was a fresh voice for me, but they did a great job & perfect for this character.

Now I need to have a word with the author because how could you end on that cliffhanger?! I need more!! I am so curious to learn how everything will workout. I cannot wait to keep reading this story.

If you haven’t read a K. Bromberg book before, I highly recommend giving their work a read & Twisted Knight is a great place to start!

I CAN NOT EVEN with how amazing this story was. On the surface, this is an office romance, but it’s also an exhilarating read that constantly keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you can relax – corporate espionage, the good-old-boys system, a past tragedy, and revenge all come together in a story that will surprise you with each layer you uncover. And the way that it ends, will leave you stunned. That last line?!?! I was left with my mouth open and an absolute desperation for more. The dynamic between Holden and Rowan is thick. They have a tension, both in and out of the bedroom, that could light the entire city on fire. While Holden is a quiet and commanding alpha in the boardroom, Rowan can hold her own. She is calculating and decisive, and while she spends a large part of the book finding her footing, she never seems weak. Both of them are driven by their own moral compasses that at first glance seem on the up and up, but neither is afraid to get their hands dirty either.

Holden comes to Westmore with a plan for revenge for what they did to his brother. They never thought of him again, but he never forgot them. Rowan is the trophy daughter and she hates it. While pretending to be the perfect daughter, behind the scenes she works to gain the experience and knowledge to claim her family’s business. She is the part of the plan he never counted on. He’s the man who plans to steal her future. Both are playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers, and the fallout no one sees coming.

This office romance has it all – steam, constant tension between the characters, a forbidden element, enemies to lovers vibes galore, greed, and betrayal. I couldn’t get enough of this story and couldn’t put it down. Fans of Bromberg will love this story, but also will be completely unprepared for it. It has everything readers love from her romances, and a twisted and challenging story that sweeps readers from the beginning all the way to the shocking end. This story was spectacular and I can not wait to get my greedy hands on the next story.

Twisted Knight is the first book in a brand new series by the incredible K. Bromberg, and it's to be noted that this book ends on a cliffhanger (but it's so worth it!).

This series focuses on our main characters, who are each battling their own wars but end up thrown in each other's lives due to circumstances needed for each of their plans to work. Without spoiling too much of the story I'd just like to say that these characters have a similar foundation as to those seen in the Driven series by the same author and that just makes me even more excited for this series.

Holden Knight swoops into Westmore's society with a bang and begins his plan of vengeance against those who have wronged him (starting with a business transaction that leaves our fmc and myself shocked) . He is ruthless and does whatever it takes to get what he needs. The only thing he doesn't see coming in his way is Rowan Rothschild.

Rowan is supposed to be the quiet, high society princess who upholds her family's name, and she does so or is seemingly the only one who manages to do so. She promises her grandmother to keep the family business in their name and works very hard to do so. Her turning the game around on Holden at the end was chef's kiss (even though her heart might be broken...)

These two have scorching chemistry, and the plot twist at the end only makes me more eager for book two. This is a fast-paced, ever evolving read with deep and complicated characters that brought a new dynamic to reading for me. Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg is exactly that. Very twisted. It’s an enemy to lovers’ story, but truly it’s an everyone’s an enemy story, even your own family. I must confess, being an OG reader of Kristy’s books from day one, this is the first time I just didn’t connect with the story.

Kristy is an amazing wordsmith, and her stories are always well written and flow smoothly, but this time around I felt a bit like I had whiplash. Rowan, God bless her, was the only Rothschild that actually cared about the family’s company and trying to salvage it. She was the only one who was attempting to do anything and everything to make the company successful, but man, did her family, and basically every person in their prestigious community of Westmore treat her like a doormat. And what’s worse, is she let them. My head spun with how quickly she would go from being a headstrong businesswoman to getting put down by basically every member of her family.

Holden Knight was really the only character I cared for, at all. His backstory broke my heart and enraged me all at the same time. The disgusting way all the Westmore brats treated him when he was younger just made my blood boil. And the circumstances behind why he is now back and planning to exact revenge had me rooting for him so hard. Morally grey character? What does it say that he was the only one I liked?

It took quite a while for Holden and Rowan to get together, the 50% mark, but when they did, it was explosive and oh so satisfying. But then Rowan’s indecision afterwards was frustrating.

Speaking of frustrating, there were a few things that frustrated me quite a bit. All of these are personal annoyances, I fully acknowledge that, but they occur and pull me out of the story and ultimately affect my rating so here they are. Rowan constantly rolled her eyes. Not just once or twice but all the time. Why? It felt very much like something the spoiled rich brats surrounding her would do, not the woman who set herself apart from them all and wanted to be nothing like them. Also, when did it become acceptable to stop capitalizing God? That and inserting “goddamn” into so many sentences, those things are just like nails on a chalkboard for me. So unnecessary.

This story is very complex, with takeovers happening and everyone jockeying behind the scenes to screw over the other person, particularly Rowan’s brother Rhett, who was just a disgusting waste of cells in a body. LOL Sorry, but he’s despicable. Is he smarter than he comes across as? Maybe he’s even more diabolical than we’ve seen so far. More to be revealed. I saw several people talking about this big cliffhanger that Kristy ends the book with, and as I was getting closer to finishing, one specific thought kept running through my head as to what it could be, and I just kept saying, “don’t do it, Kristy, DON’T make that the cliffhanger!” and guess what? That’s the cliffhanger. It will be interesting to see what happens next because the story can only get more complicated from here!

As mentioned in the beginning, I’ve been a huge fan of Kristy and her books from day one, and I feel sad that this particular story wasn’t as enjoyable for me as her others. But not every book is for every reader, onward to the next story! I need to find out what happens next!

Holden Knight, I don't think you'll like him at first, but once his story unfolds, you're going to fall in love with him. He's been hurt, by where he grew up, how he grew up. And what happened to him by the upper crust was just down right wrong. But now he's back, a millionaire, and ready to crumble those that hurt him, and make them pay in ways they can't even imagine!
Rowan is a woman in a mans world. Her family is just allowing her to work in the company until she marries, and then she can do what the upper crust woman do, chair charities, have babies, all the thinks she doesn't want to conform too.
When these two meet, their are sparks, but when she finds out he's taking over her family business, the one she wants to take away from her brother and run one day, she's ready for battle. But the more she gets to know him, their long talks, and hot nights, she's seeing a different side of him and she's falling fast for him.
This story was so good! I read until late into the night and started it back up in the morning, I couldn't put it down! It is a cliff hanger, to which I'm begging for book 2 now!! Don't miss out on this amazing story, Kristy went above and beyond on this one, and it's so worth it!

I have read many of K Bromberg’s books and love them all..this one is phenomenal. The plot, the characters, the secrets…so amazing and will have you guessing when the next show will drop.

Rowan is tough, driven and determined…but she has been hurt to her core. She has been caught off guard by her family, a nemesis and her dream is crumbling before her eyes. Her heart is guarded but the one man she despises begins to find his way into it.

Holden is out for retribution…he is a great businessman, sneaky, conniving and determined to get back at those who harmed his family. He also has some deep burdens, pain and memories that he struggles with on a daily basis.

Rowan and Holden are a pair to be reckoned with. The banter, dialogue and undeniable attraction they have for one another other makes them an amazing couple. I cannot wait to see where this relationship/story lands.

This book leaves us with a major cliffy…counting the days for book 2.

I want to be mad at Holden but I just can't. When you read about what Rhett and Chad did to him, everything is so deserved. He should have just told Rowan everything though because he's gonna lose her. I need the next book now. I know she can't actually marry that man. Right before everything went to shit at the end they were so cute. He took her to see her favorite musician and I know they fell in love with each other.

I couldn’t put this one down. I was completely hooked from the start and am dying for more of Rowan and Holden.

Rowan comes from a world where she is expected to be a wife, not work, and be perfect. Everything she doesn’t want. She wants to run her family's business. Holden is a man who has worked hard his entire life and a man who is out for revenge.

I love the revenge plot in this story and I can’t wait to see how that all plays out. Plus the banter and tension between Rowan and Holden is amazing.

I loved the flashbacks of the past to learn a little more about Holden and get some insight into why he is doing what he is doing.

If you’re looking for a workplace, revenge plot, enemies to lovers romance check this one out. Note this one is book 1 and does end on a cliffhanger.

Wow! This is going to be torture..the waiting.

Poor Holden! Holden grew up on the wrong side of town..the poor side. The side no one cared about. His mom worked so hard to provide for them and Holden worked hard to make something of himself. To never again have to work for the rich and entitled. They moved away from his hometown after a tragedy and now he is back..for revenge.

Rowan grew up completely different. Born to wealth, generations of money. Her family, and her town all believing the women have a place, not in business but at home. She could not disagree more. She does work for the family business but it’s ran, along with the family trust, but her brother. Now things aren’t adding up and she has lots of questions.

There is really only so much I can say as I don’t want to spoil anything. This is so good but I’m impatient and want answers lol. This was captivating from beginning to end and obviously I can’t wait to read the rest!

Twisted Knight deserves all of the stars. I lost myself in this compelling story that had complicated, well-developed characters who shared an intense, passionate connection. Holden and Rowan had me on the edge of my seat as they danced around one another, both professionally and personally. They were pure FIRE!

“Life is black. It’s white. It’s gray. I live in the gray.”

Holden’s past was absolutely heartbreaking and has driven his need for revenge. His motivations are clear from the beginning, but feelings start to muddy his plan. I completely understand why he’s doing what he’s doing and I cannot wait to find out what other secrets he may be hiding. Rowan softens him and brings out a charming, lovable side that is so endearing.

“I’m starting to feel valued by the one person who is trying to actively ruin my life. And possibly ruin it in more ways than one.”

Rowan is struggling with her feelings of being overlooked in her own family. She’s not the chosen one so they often put down her feelings and don’t believe that she can think for herself. She’s determined to prove that she has what it takes to run her family business, but when her brother makes a decision that jeopardizes her dream, she’s forced to collaborate with the enemy. She tries to resist Holden’s charms, but the attraction between them sizzles.

“Time to change the dress.”

Holden and Rowan are the definition of a push and pull relationship. The chemistry crackles between them and the banter is electric. I absolutely could not get enough of their connection and watching their relationship develop from enemies to more. When they started to let their guards down with each other, real feelings began to develop but betrayal, revenge, and outside forces threaten to jeopardize everything. Twisted Knight is the first part of a duet so this does end in a cliffhanger. I’m now not so patiently counting down the days until the conclusion of this fantastic duet.

This was such a fun read with angst, drama and delicious romance!!!

Twisted Knight is such a wild ride!!! We follow Rowan, a daughter from a wealthy family who struggles against archaic expectations and yearns to be given the chance to run her family business. In comes Holden, our twisted knight 👀, who is hell bent on revenge against Rowan’s family including her.

I had such a great time reading this book! Rowan is such a likeable character! She’s rich and entitled but stays kind and empathetic to others around her. And I admired so much her drive to achieve her goals!

Holden is a complete mystery. He’s rude, obnoxious and filthy rich. We know he wants revenge but what is his plan? What happened to make him hate Rowan’s family?

This story keeps you on your toes with its twists and turns and fast paced action. There’s good character development and I enjoyed seeing both of the characters grow and overcome their prejudices. The drama, angst and tension was simply fantastic and I ate it up!!! 🔥

The romance between Rowan and Holden is insta attraction but definitely a slow burn in terms of emotional side. Their chemistry is fantastic and their banter and back and forth made me giggle!

It was a fantastic romance with an entertaining side of drama amongst the rich and the beautiful and I had an amazing time reading it!

It’s not a standalone so be ready for a cliffhanger!

I love K Bromberg. She tells such great stories with complex characters that always grow. She writes strong, fierce women who take what they want and put men in their place. Rowan was no different.

The dual timelines added depth to the story and shows Holdens heart and compassion and the reason for his rage and need for revenge.

What I wasn't expecting was the CLIFFHANGER! But boy did it leave me wanting more.

That stranger, Holden Knight, is all grown up now and out for revenge. Can he follow through on his plan, or will his growing feelings for Rowan distract him from his mission?

Let’s be honest, I’m always excited when a new series comes from K. Bromberg, and this one was a riveting rollercoaster ride! Rowan caught my attention with her strength and sass. I loved the way she could hold her own with Holden, and fight the chauvinism in her family and company. The flashbacks are well utilized to explain the history behind Holden’s grudge against the family, and I loved watching his internal struggle as he found himself falling for her, despite her connection to his targets. And the romance aspect? Wow! The physical fire burned bright and 𝑯𝑶𝑻 quickly🔥, while the emotions were more of a slow burn!! I am here for all of it… the family drama, the emotion, the spice, the revenge, the plot twists, and yes, even the breathe-stealing cliffhanger… Not my favorite though!👀😅 I cannot wait for the next book!!!

Twisted Knight is a delicious read. I loved this so much. This is book one and has a cliff hanger. If you love revenge reads then you will love this one so much. Rowan is doing anything she can to hold onto her family legacy. You feel for her and most of the men in her life with the backward thinking. She has a lot of fight in her and goes against the grain. Holden has his reasons for the company takeover. As you get to know him you get why he's targeting Chad and Rowan's brother Rhett. The chemistry build between Rowan and Holden is amazing. I love how Holden sees Rowan and brings out the fire in her. I could not put this down. I need more now. I cannot wait to see where the next book goes as everything starts to unravel more. You need to read this now.

Obsessed with this book, and I need more. Twisted Knight by K. Bromberg was an angsty small-town enemy to lovers that demanded my attention from start to finish. Not to mention, that cliffhanger ending absolutely left my jaw on the floor, and I needed more. The beginning of Rowan and Holden’s romance put my heart through a whirlwind of emotions, and I was here for all of it!

Victoria Connolly and Partic Zeller perform this audiobook in dual narration, embodying Rowan and Holden to the fullest. Victoria added subtle nuances to her voice to convey Rowan’s conflicted and passionate persona as she discovered more family business secrets. Patrick gave a powerful emotional performance as Holden encompassing his vengeance for the past and deep desires for Rowan. Both narrators were spot on conveying the tension-filled, steamy chemistry between Rowan and Holden.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small-town romance with an alpha-confident billionaire, a strong-willed determined heroine, workplace romance, now and then chapters, secrets about the past, dirty talk, tension, revenge, office spice, sunshine nicknames, family legacy, bathroom steam, surprise trip to Manhatten, and a jaw-dropping climax that will leave you longing and needing more, you will love the start of Rowan and Holden’s story. I always look forward to more from K. Bromberg.

Instead of the office she should focus on a husband, charity work and having and raising a family. But she is not like her family. She wants more..she wants to run TinSpirits, her family's company that her brother Rhett is destroying. He only has control of it because he's a man... and now he's brought in Holden.

Holden is the incoming CEO who is out to get revenge against the Rothschild and Williams families for past events. Holden grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, as they say, working in the country club that both families patronize. Holden's character irked me a lot because he's a cocky, conceited, arrogant billionaire.. but as the story unravels you get to see more of the WHY and learn the backstory of why he's the way he is.

Now their relationship was so angsty and I am here for all of it. I'm here for all the jealousy, possessive characters, the twists and turns. I went into this book not sure what to expect, and now I can't wait to see how this unfolds. A great start to their story.

Twisted Knight is the aptly named first book in a trilogy featuring the story of Holden and Rowan. Holden is poised to purchase the Rothschild’s company, much to Rowan Rothschild’s dismay and anger. Yet each interaction they have breaks up the hate and frustration and opens a little understanding and support for each other.

This story was full of emotional twists and lots of secrets. With glimpses in the past, we see why Holden is driven to ruin the affluent, pretentious, old-wealth families of Westmore. We see Rowan positioning herself to be taken as a serious business woman and not just someone her mom can marry off. There are a host of intriguing characters who have hidden secrets pitting themselves against Holden who likens himself as a morally gray puppet master who will only reveal his plans on his timetable. Overall, it’s a great start to this trilogy and I can’t wait for the next installment to come out!

K. Bromberg has done it again! She's written a story that I can’t stop thinking about. Holden and Rowen are such an unexpected couple. Holden is set on taking over Rowen’s family company, and she’s not happy about it at all—especially since she has her own plans to save it, but her jerk of a brother has different ideas.

Holden might seem like a hardass, but his motives for wanting control of the company are deeper than anyone knows. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, K Bromberg hit me with a cliffhanger that totally caught me off guard!

Now, I’m just waiting for the second book.
