I have only read the Full Throttle series by K. Bromberg. I loved it! I almost passed this up thinking it won't be the same. I was right. It wasn't the same, but it still held my attention! The storyline is heartbreaking. My emotions were real. The characters are growing on me, but not quite there yet. I have full confidence that I'll love them both before it ends. I love the slow burn. I cannot wait for the next book to see where this is going.

There is just something I love about a good revenge plot, and the one in this book is a new favorite of mine. This story was so captivating and fast-paced. Rowan and Holden are both such complex characters, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Through flashbacks we learn how Holden came to know Rowan’s family years prior, and why he is set on destroying them (he has good reasons). This one will make you laugh, cry, and want to find your own Holden.

If K. Bromberg writes it, I’m going to read it. I absolutely love her style, and the worlds and dynamics that she creates. I was NOT expecting that cliffhanger though! Book two can’t come soon enough!! I need to know what happens between Rowan, Holden, and this family business 🫣

We are introduced to Holden’s assistant Audrey; Rowan’s brother Rhett, and his best friend Chad.

Right from the start there were sparks of something between them even if was a mutual dislike, but gradually their relationship developed throughout this story with a lot of sexual tension and verbal sparring between them. Their chemistry was apparent in every encounter and Holden was probably the first person to look at Rowan and actually see the intelligent woman she was. But no matter his feelings he wasn’t about to be distracted, Holden was a man on a mission, and I enjoyed the manner in which his reason for being in Westmore was revealed which added to the tension. Rowan doesn’t really like her family very much; all her life she’s came second to her brother, but she does love them so if she’s forced to choose between them and Holden who will win out? Be warned this book does end on a cliff hanger, nothing that will have you throwing your kindle at the wall but still, I did think that this book was a standalone so I can’t help but feel a little cheated at having to wait to find out what happens next.

But as the layers of his character are peeled back, revealing deep-seated wounds and complex motivations, I found myself rooting for him. He’s not just the typical cold-hearted businessman; he’s a man driven by past pain, and it’s this complexity that makes him so compelling.

On the other side, the heroine, Rowan Rothschild, is a force to be reckoned with. Sassy, defiant, and fiercely loyal to her family legacy, she refuses to let anyone dictate her fate—least of all those who threaten everything she holds dear. Her determination and refusal to back down, even as the walls close in on her, make her a protagonist you can’t help but admire. Despite feeling betrayed by those closest to her, she never lets that break her spirit.

The tension between Holden and Rowan is palpable, and their dynamic is electric. The banter and verbal sparring are some of the highlights of the story—every conversation is laced with sharp wit, underlying attraction, and a battle for control. What I loved most about this story was the psychological cat-and-mouse game between the two leads. Rowan’s struggle to figure out Holden’s true intentions, while he masterfully manipulates the situation to his advantage, creates a constant sense of tension and suspense. Holden is chaos incarnate—just when you think you’ve got him figured out, he throws another wrench into the mix.

The slow build of attraction, mixed with high-stakes tension and emotional depth, makes for a story that’s as satisfying as it is intense. I loved how this book made me feel, waiting for things to happen. To be honest, I did not see the cliffhanger coming, because, yes, it is the first book in a series. Now I can't wait for the conclusion to this addictive story!

This is a story of corruption, power, control, money, and the games that are played to have them all. Warning though: Cliffhanger ahead ... and it is a doozy!!

Holden Knight has returned to the one place he never wanted to see again, his hometown, the place where he experienced his deepest pain. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks Holden was constantly bullied by those who were better off, time has come to turn the tables and deal out some retribution. Rowan Rothschild was born into wealth, an intelligent, business savvy woman capable of running her family's business. Instead, she is expected to marry and be a domesticated 'Stepford Wife'. Not if she has anything to say about it!

Holden and Rowan share an insane chemistry, it is way off the charts, their banter is incredible, and the heat between them sizzles. Their relationship is push and pull, both in the boardroom and the bedroom, which leads to a lot of tension. Rowan is feisty and doesn't allow anyone to walk all over her, especially her family, this girl has a few well-hidden secrets. Holden is a mystery when he first arrives on the scene, as his story begins to be revealed my heart broke for him. I loved how their relationship evolved, it was slow and steady, yet there was plenty of heat and passion. I adored Holden, he may be ruthless when it comes to business, but he had a heart of gold. He saw Rowan's worth and her capabilities, and was willing to help her to get what she deserved.

From start to finish TWISTED KNIGHT was a fantastic read. A terrific enemies to lovers, seeking revenge story which demands to be read in one session. If this is only the beginning of Holden and Rowan's story, I can't wait to read the next two installments. Another highly recommended and unputdownable read from this amazingly talented author.

Always an absolute fave author of mine writing just another phenomenal story that I just couldn't put down! I just ate this one up and instantly wanted to re-read the second I was finished. Everything I need and want from start to finish.

Twisted Knight is twisted in some ways the main characters of this book are connected in a way that only he knows and he keeps the secret to himself. I do not really care for her family and their way of doing things and I hope that karma comes back around. I do not like the person that her family feels that she should marry either, his family needs some huge wake up calls. I think that Holden Knight, is following through with his plan and will reach his ultimate goal with some plot twists along the way because he didn't expect Rowan.

This book leaves us on a major cliffhanger, which I am not a fan of, but I want more of the story. I think that cliffhangers keep most readers coming back and wanting to continue the story, but they also cause readers to become uninterested and move on without coming back to continue the story because of the time in-between. I fall in the category of I want to know more and I will come back to find out what happens, but I am also frustrated because I like to know how the story ends when the book ends and it feels incomplete. I apologize for my cliffhanger rant, I am impatiently waiting on the continuation of Rowan and Holden's story and I am hoping for an HEA for them. I think they deserve it.

I was told business, revenge, and romance and immediantly snapped this up to read. I highly enjoyed this read.

I wasn't sure about the FMC at first because she was *spineless* Yeah she wanted more, but she just went with the status quo until the MMC pushed her out of her comfort zone. Once she started speaking up, she was definitely more likeable.

Holden's motivation becomes more clear and is definitely justified. He's got the commanding thing down for sure.

I was no expecting the cliff hanger and it was definitely a doozy. I'm hoping it wasn't a miscommunication and that it was a genuine mistake that he'll have to make up.

I can't wait to read book two!!!

Can anyone say Holy Cliffhanger. There aren’t enough words to describe this story. I could not put it down. I need book 2 ASAP.
Holden wanted revenge since he was younger. A promise to his brother that he would not break. What he didn’t plan on happening was falling for Rowan.
Of course he is the last man she should get involved with either. He is the enemy but she can’t ignore what he stirs in her.
Their chemistry is explosive. But the secrets he carries can destroy so much including what he has found with Rowan. What will happen when they are found out.
Holden has his own agenda and getting involved with Rowan is becoming a distraction he doesn’t need. But he can’t stay away any more that she can stay away from him.
A cliffhanger that will shock you and have you counting the days until the next book.

This author never disapoints. This was a great story and look forward to the next book in this series.

I truly couldn’t stop reading after reaching 30% into this one. I already knew K. Bromberg writing was super evolving, but I never read anything from her outside the formula one world, and let me tell you: I am so glad I did!

Holden and Rowan own a place in my heart, and I truly love their chemistry and their background.

This book is the perfect story for everyone who loves billionaire, workplace, and revenge plots with chemistry beyond this world.

Whoa! What a way to open up a book. Dropped right into the middle of the upper crust money chaos. And right off the bat I know this enemies to lovers will be deliciously good. Holden knight is someone you will love to hate and I’m so looking forward to letting his guard down and leaving that boardroom pr*ck persona behind. Rowan Rothchild meets a mysterious man at a fundraiser, setting the tone between the two of them with sexy banter. But that flirtation turns to hate when she finds out that Holden Knight has purchased controlling interest in her family’s business. I when I say hate, it’s serious hate.

This is the first book in a duet so there is a cliffhanger. I’ve read a good handful of Bromberg books, but this one has a different tone. There’s a deeper story she is weaving here and I love the time she’s taking to tell it over 2 books. From the beginning, I really disliked Holden. SERIOUSLY disliked him. And with Rowans hate for him I wondered how long it would take to make me to like him. These two have a LOT to get through before there’s an HEA. But who’s to say hate sex can’t be steamy and sexy. So, 2 books are definitely needed here.

Rowan has always taken a back seat to her brother’s old boy network ways with the company. He’s never appreciated her talent and puts her in her in her place with that condescending “Don’t worry your pretty little head, darlin’” attitude. But Holden pushes her buttons to get her to realize that she’s been a doormat when it comes to stepping into her power with the company. That’s a tough pill to swallow when she realizes it. Holden, on the other side, is driven by revenge and guilt from his past. And as the book progresses, we get snippets of what’s driving him. But can he step out of his narrowed focused rage to see the potential collateral damage around him? There are so many layers to this man and I can’t wait to discover them all. This is what’s so great about Bromberg’s books. Her characters truly go through tough growing pains and life lessons and I love experiencing that with them.

The way Bromberg writes this push pull between them is masterful. It’s a cat and mouse game with Holdens sexy words wooing her to fall for him, Rowan’s spunkiness when it’s least expected, their back-and-forth banter. I was all for it. And when they finally came together it was super sexy.

Book 2 can’t come fast enough. Another winner by Bromberg.

Holden has really strong reasons for what he is doing, and Rowan is a distraction from his goal that he cannot resist. Rowan wants to run her family’s company, and Holden is the interloper who has swooped in and taken that option away from her. This made for an interesting dynamic and the draw to one another would have to be very strong to overpower all the reasons that they had to stay away from one another. As feelings develop, one has to wonder how Holden plans to balance his plan and its’ impact on Rowan. This couple had truly incendiary chemistry. This is a book for the reader who loves to read about the dominant, dirty talking lover. This author always delivers the spicy books and this one is no exception. But spice aside, there are so many elements to this story that kept me glued to the page. The author employed periodic flashbacks that emphasize the poor boy/rich man dichotomy, and as the reader gets to know these main characters we experience how many aspects of Rowan are not what they seemed. The book ends with a cliffhanger when Holden experiences a consequence of his machinations. I am hoping that there will not be a long wait for the next book in the series because I became very invested in these characters and want to see what will happen. I would describe this book as dark, emotional, witty, and spicy with los of snarky dialogue. There is an element of mystery, as there has been a lot happening behind the scenes that the author hints to, but doesn’t disclose. If you are a reader who enjoys a dark, spicy contemporary Billionaire romance novel with plenty of snappy dialogue and intrigue, then you should definitely pick up this book !

There is an ongoing feeling of suspense throughout the story because of their heated banter and undeniable connection. Rowan was a character whom I liked since she was a strong woman who always aimed higher. When Rowan and Holden met around the midway point, the tone of the book changed slightly, and I found myself liking it even more. I enjoyed how the romance developed, and there was just the right number of steamy scenes. The writing in this book was good as well; it was quick reading. Bromberg's writing abilities show through in this compelling boss-employee romance, which combines passion, love, and intrigue. I really liked this book and am eagerly awaiting the second one. I can't wait to see what happens next for Rowan and Holden.

Loved Rowan and Holden’s characters. Rowan is trying to take her role at the company the way she fits, not the way her parents want her to. They want her to dress and act a certain way. Holden is looking for revenge and will do what he needs to do to get it. These two have great banter and the romance and chemistry between them is amazing. They are so good together.

Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for the next book.
