K Bromberg has ticked a lot of boxes for me with Twisted Knight.
An interesting storyline had me engrossed the further I got into the book. It’s a slow burn but the heat and chemistry between the main characters Holden Knight and Rowan Rothschild had the pages sizzling.
A self made sexy as sin Billionaire with revenge on the agenda and a devastating twist will have you so caught up in Holden Knights web. Revenge is sweet but at what cost!
Rowan Rothschild is the face of her families business but aspires to being the one to run it until the rug is pulled out from under her by her golden boy brother Rhett. Who can you trust when you don’t even trust your own family!
When Holden and Rowan come together you can feel the magnetic pull between them. The draw to what shouldn’t be in this enemies to lovers read.
A cliffhanger yes, but I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these two in the book of the Tangled Hearts series.

5 Star Review Twisted Knight (Tangled Hearts #1) by K. Bromberg

Another winner from K. Bromberg. This is Holden Knight and Rowan Rothschild’s story and be prepared it ends in a cliffhanger, so you have been warned.

From the first chapter to the last I was riveted to the story that the author wove.
Holden and Rowan cone from opposite sides of the track and he is determined to seek revenge on the Rothschild family.

What he didn’t count on is Rowan and the feelings she creates in him. Twisted Knight is a story of revenge, angst, drama and passion. It is one that will draw you n and keep you invested.

Add in the drama that Rowan’s brother Rhett adds as he runs the family company TinSpirits into the ground and the fact that her family believe all she can do is get married and not be involved in business matters and you just know that this will be a rollercuaster if a read.

Cannot wait to see what Ms. Bromberg has in store for these characters.

Holden Knight is everything you could ever want and more! I absolutely loved him! He’s the perfect combination of traits I look for in any male character. Rowan Rothschild is a strong, stunning woman that I can’t help but envy. Their story? Incredible. And the way it ends? Trust me, it's not over yet!

This book definitely gave me King of Sin vibes, and I ate that up, so I knew I’d love this one too! The witty banter and just the right amount of spice were perfect. There’s a clear attraction, along with the classic hate-to-love dynamic, which is my absolute favorite. Plus, it's a secret relationship in a workplace setting—and they get up to a lot in the office!

Holden’s surprises are so thoughtful, and I love how jealous he gets when anyone else touches Rowan! I truly adored both of them. It's been a while since I read something I completely loved, and Holden’s thoughtful surprise even had me in happy tears.

If you enjoyed King of Sin, you definitely need to pick this one up! I highly recommend it. Even though this was the first book I’ve read from this author, they’re now on my auto-buy list!

Rowan has her head screwed in straight and she’s no fading wallflower and being born into money and power isn’t all it seems and there’s always expectations of you and all her mom wants to do is marry her off and her brilliant business mind and strong personality has other ideas ….. oh and she’s always in her brothers shadow ! He’s a right tosser though and he really just grated my last nerve with his tantrums and arrogance 🤮

At the auction Holden attracts s lot of attention both from men and woman alike and his plan for revenge is set into motion but he wasn’t prepared for the stunning distraction aka Rowan 🔥she’s a little spitfire and his perfect match 😉

There’s angst , drama , entertaining banter chemistry , revenge , romance and oh my there’s steam 🔥what’s not to enjoy !?

I’m all hyped and the ending is a cliffhanger and if I didn’t live my kindle do much it would’ve ended up smashed against the wall ! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I feel like right now may be the perfect time to cry... Yall. THIS BOOK ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER HAHAHA HOW DID I MISS THIS?!
Cliffhanger aside, this story was absolutely amazing to say the least. The storyline had me hooked immediately, and I couldn't put it down! Hence the bags under my eyes and the constant yawns coming from my body.
I highlyyyy recommend this one. Be prepared to have your jaw drop a time or two, but it's 100% worth it.

I really enjoyed this one. Devouring it in less than a day because I was completely engrossed in watching this play out.
The intrigue, the mind games, the long game, the retribution and the chemistry were all on point.
The characters are interesting and layered. The story being weaved is engaging and left me so eager for the next instalment!
If you’re after something with workplace romance, retribution and some spice, this is one I’d highly recommend.

Compelling and angsty, with the perfect amount of spice, Twisted Knight is everything I had hoped for and so much more! The dynamic between Holden and Rowan was exquisite, their banter was top notch and their chemistry was scorching. I loved every second of this book and I cannot wait for book 2!

I'll start by saying that I'm not a huge romance reader, but after reading the synopsis of this book, I figured I'd give it a try. Even though it's far outside of my usual comfort zone, I ended up really liking this. It was an addicting read and I felt like I couldn't put it down because I was invested with the story. I wasn't expecting this to end in a cliffhanger so I guess I'll just have to wait to read the next one!

This author has such a way of spinning a story full of betrayal, backstabbing and intrigue. The characters of Rowan and Holden are both complex characters. Rowan has always been in the shadow of her brother, even though she is more capable to run the family business. Holden is such a likable character, and his past makes it so easy to understand why he wants revenge.

The build up to the end and that cliffhanger is perfection.

General Thoughts: I was on the brink of going into a reading slump when I picked this one up. I loved every minute of this one. I devoured it. It's been awhile since I've been as invested in a story as I am in this one. The book reminds me of Count of Monte Cristo and the tv series "Revenge." It's a revenge story, and it's done so so well.

The romance, the characters, the banter, the angst, the drama--this one has it all and does it all well. I started suspecting about halfway through that this wasn't going to be a standlone, and it's not. Mind the cliff, like I said above. That's one heck of a brutal cliff, but it's worth it trust me. Pick this one up. You won't regret it. I've read a few by this author and enjoyed them all, but this one is gold. Easily going to be one of my top reads of the year. I'm not sure I can wait til the next one comes out!

Holy cliffhanger! I had no idea this book wasn't a standalone and now I'm anxiously awaiting the next part of Rowan and Holden's story! This is my first read by this author and I can't wait to go back and read more!

Holden is out for revenge, which is why he purchases Rowan's family company. However, Rowan isn't like the rest of her family. She is constantly underestimated and undervalued and has good intentions when it comes to the business.

This book has so many of my favorite tropes including enemies to lovers, workplace, revenge, and a ton of spicy spice! Not to mention there are so many secrets, twists, and all the drama!

It was such a fun ride, and I need to know what is going to happen next!

Ugh...I loathe cliffhangers but only because I am greedy! I need the next installment ASAP! Holden has a tortured past and will do anything to avenge his little brother. He has the perfect plan in place but things or rather Rowan aren't exactly as he first thought they were which is throwing a little wrench in his plan. After spending time with Rowan, Holden realized she isn't like the other rich, entitled kids from his past.

I love Rowan and Holden!!! My heart went out to these two. They are both damaged souls but as they spend time together, they slowly start to heal one another. Watching Rowan stand her ground with Holden and how he reacts to it is everything. He didn't put her in her place, no he respected her for it which is something Rowan didn't get from the men in her life and their archaic views. What they brought out in one another was special. I can't wait to see where this bump in the road takes them. I also can't wait to see what Rhett and Chad have coming to them.

It has been a long time that I've read a book that left me hanging, but I low-key love it. The anticipation is part of the fun!

Please hold while I pick my jaw up off the floor. K. Bromberg has left me wanting in the best way possible. Twisted Knight is a delightful cliffhanger. I was not expecting it, and when it happened I literally had to keep pushing the page turner in my Kindle to be sure. I am devastated LOL.

I disliked Holden Knight from the beginning and was not sure I could buy into his character. He is so morally gray he is almost black. Let me just say this, STICK. WITH. IT. you will come to adore Holden. Well maybe adore is a strong word. However, he will make you feel all the things. The twists in this book come at every corner, and from every direction. I loved it.

Rowan just wants to break out of the box she has been put in as a woman and show that she has what it takes to save and run her family's company, her legacy. Holden just wants to destroy it. What starts out as revenge, might be something more when Holden realizes that Rowan is not who he thought she was. Rowan is a twin….and the twists keep coming.

As a young man, Holdens world came crashing down after a tragic incident that left him seeking revenge. He returns to the “scene of the crime” so to speak, a successful billionaire where no one seems to recognize the young man he once was. Holden realizes that they never really “saw” him, too busy showboating and acting the rich kids.

He sees something in Rowan that draws him to her, even as he plans to use her, break her, throw her away AND destroy her family. She is unexpected and strong, and he encourages her to show the side he sees to others.

In yet more twists, she discovers something that sends her running into the arms of the wrong man!! Holden unaware of her discovery does not understand why she makes this decision!

I cannot wait for the next book in the series…please Bromberg…I’m dying over here! Grab this one as fast as you can, the hate, love, twists and turns will have you yelling, kicking your feet, swooning, and pulling out your hair in all the best ways!

Revenge is most definitely a slippery slope and with Twisted Knight, a truly complicated conundrum. Especially for Holden Knight and the intricate plan he has to destroy the lives and company of those who wronged him long ago. K. Bromberg takes us on a ride that is filled with vitriol, entitlement and the need for retaliation so intense it was hard at times to know who to root for. But as we get to understand the reasons for Holden's quest for retribution and get a rare glimpse of not only his life 15 years prior but the need to continue to help his former neighborhood, I found that I really liked him. I simply got his desire to get back at the two wealthiest families in town and all he would do to achieve victory. However, his not counting on falling for the current CEO's younger sister and assumed bride of the current COO for the family business Holden was taking apart piece by piece created more than a few roadblocks in his devious plan. But it's that wicked attraction to Rowan Rothschild he didn't think possible that might be Holden's biggest tragedy of all.

Oh my goodness, this ultimate game of cat and mouse is further intensified by the power plays everyone is throwing out there, making Rowan's head spin almost daily. Her fight against her attraction for the soon-to-be owner of her family's beloved beverage business becomes beyond difficult as Holden plays dirty and throws a carrot or two to Rowan wrt her wanting more than just her job as a marketing VP. But when these two finally succumb to all that sexual tension they give off with each new encounter, watch out! Both are out of their minds with lust, desire and need that consume both of them like never before. And I loved every minute!

As the twists and turns of Holden's decision to obtain justice for his younger brother Mason start to unravel a bit, especially with the bomb dropped on him as the story comes to a close, I can't imagine what Bromberg will have in store for us in the next book. With Holden thirsty to make Mason proud and ultimately destroy Rhett Rothschild and Chadwick Williams and the rest of the snobby country club members one by one, I'm afraid his recently beating heart may turn cold once more if Rowan becomes nothing more than just another employee.

I did love that Holden truly understood Rowan and her need for more in this world besides being the requisite wife and mother. And in turn, Rowan began to see the real Holden, the man who would move mountains for those he cared for even as he dismantled the lives of those closest to her. She's the one who I believe will be faced with the true test of courage: whether to continue to back her devious family or take sides with the man who allowed her to touch lightning over and over again.

As you can tell, although both Rowan and Holden are the kinds of characters you may want to shake from time to time, not to mention throttle as their lives become wildly entwined, I liked their compatibility, their passion for each other and their work and how both wouldn't back down no matter what. They are a match made in the less desirable part of heaven yet I can't deny how much they truly fit. They are each other's greatest challenge and I can only hope they are also each other's salvation when all is said and done.

When looking for a book that will keep you turning the pages, feel every emotion possible, be frustrated like crazy in the very best way and also be a bit gobsmacked at how all the diabolical behind-the-scenes action shapes this storyline, then Twisted Knight is for you. I have to admit I am looking forward to the ultimate showdown and reveal as all the reasons for Holden's seemingly harsh actions come to light and he possibly risks losing a bit of happiness for the revenge he seeks. But I have confidence K. Bromberg will satisfy my curiosity and give us the conclusion we'll all want.

In the meantime, I happily give Twisted Knight a big 5 stars!

Well Now!!!! That was a doozie of a mic drop!!!

This story had me completely in its grasp. It’s deliciously devious with twists and turns along with deep seated hurt and the need to make things right.
A real snapshot into the life of the elite and entitled …..I’m cheering for the underdog all the way!

Holden Knight is an absolute force…I love him! His plan is so brilliantly connived…I was firmly in his corner from the very beginning and the more we got to know the man beneath the perfect suit the more I wanted him to win.

Rowan is trying to be a tough cookie and I really admire her tenacity…I felt for her and the position she found herself in…Even if I felt she needed to open her eyes at times….I felt she didn’t ask enough question for me and she certainly should have pushed her brother more on his motives….I so wanted her to fight her family and everything they stood for….the way they dismissed her and kept reminding her of her ‘place’ got my back right up!! Which I’m guessing is exactly what the author wanted it to do!!!
I’m still waiting for Rowan to fully embrace her own self and trust her own instincts without falling back on family connections…..I really hope she has a wicked plan up her sleeve….I just hope she figures it out before making such a huge mistake….

Ms Bromberg has written Rowan and Holden’s relationship beautifully. From the angry distrust to the intelligent banter then the reluctant attraction and all the intimacies in between…

This story of cat and mouse, secrets and lies will have you raging…cheering for the underdog and hoping it all comes out the way it should in the next visit to this world. There are so many more revelations to come. Also some real ‘grown-up’ talks are required to figure out who has done the dirty on who…..!

Can’t wait for the next tangled heart instalment!

A story about revenge with sizzling hot chemistry.

Rowan is shocked when she finds the man that she met at a party in the office of her family’s company. Especially upon finding out that now he has majority of shares and knows of the fact that it’s her dream to become the boss of the firm.


I spent quite a good time reading this story. Though it’s not my top favourite book written by K. Bromberg, it was a good book. The chemistry between the characters was off charts, I could feel the tension between them in every scene with them involved. I was just waiting for it to finally blow up and boy it did, like a fireworks show. It made me enjoy the book even more.

I liked the revenge plot in the story and it being the main reason why Holden got himself involved with Rowan’s family. It was so good to little by little find out what made him take such steps.
But I have to admit that in the middle part of the book the whole plot of the story wasn’t so good. It’s also the only reason why I had to lower my rating. There were moments during reading that I felt that nothing was happening the book, especially halfway through the story.

But the ending was so freaking good. I have to admit that before reading the story I had no idea that would end with such a cliffhanger and now I’m waiting impatiently for the next book. I can’t wait to find out how Rowan and Holden’s story will continue.

Incredible and totally captivating! It’s got hostile takeovers, a whole lot of revenge, backroom deals and NDA’s, and absolutely explosive chemistry! There are so many layers to the deceit and secrets in this read it has your head spinning, the steps being taken to win are utterly savage, and with Rowan and Holden blurring lines with every look, touch, and taste, it’s a completely addictive read that dangles an explosion waiting to happen, drops the bomb, and bounces, leaving you begging for more and you can’t get enough of it.
Loved it from start to finish! Holden is that guy that just oozes power and looks like he knows exactly how to ravage you in a boardroom and I love it and Rowan is that obedient wild card that plays the game better than people think which I love even more. And the plot is spectacular! Every player in the game is hiding something, for every secret that gets revealed there are two more taking its place, it feels forbidden, sexy, and fun, and I’m totally addicted and impatiently waiting for the next book.

Mad. Not at how it ended, but that it did!

This book gave me everything: a sexy female lead, a hot male lead with ulterior motives, palpable tension, and plenty of spice. But as I watched the completion percentage climb, I found myself asking, "How is this plot going to wrap up with so little time left?" Spoiler: it doesn't. You know that feeling when you're about to sneeze, and someone says "bless you" too soon, and suddenly you can't sneeze? That's exactly what happened here. The story builds and builds, only to leave you hanging, craving more.

So yes, this is an odd way to recommend a book, but it is what it is. Read it! Just brace yourself—don't throw your phone, book, or Kindle across the room when you reach the end. You'll be left wanting more!

Rowan and Holden 😍😵

I have never disliked a man so much in a book then turn around and cannot get enough of him!! This book has you guessing Holden’s next move. Rowan is an independent women who is out to make a name for herself despite everyone telling her what she “should want/do with her life.”

I really liked this book! I highly recommend it!!! This was my first book I read by K. Bromberg and I was not disappointed.. Okay, a little disappointed but only because it ends on a cliffhanger!! 😫😫😫 I can’t wait to see where things go next with Holden and Rowan.

I’ve learned over the years that there are some authors whose books I just love, they easily attain 5 stars and K. Bromberg is one of those. I truly fell for her work with her S.I.N. Series and just have learned she writes office and F1 romance so well. Twisted Knight, is an office romance, and it’s full of betrayals, scheming, dark pasts, and also love and joy.

Rowan has always been overlooked by her family until Holden appears to buy her family’s company and finally starts to let her show her worth. But unlike Rowan, Holden wants to destroy the company, and is willing to hurt anyone to succeed, due to a personal history between him and Rowen’s brother Rhett.

This is a slow burn, and the wait is killer, but it’s so worth it when Rowan and Holden finally get together, adding in the spice, makes the timeline and the pacing speed up as you try to figure out if it’ll all work out. I was unaware this was a cliffhanger and a connected series, so now I’m desperate for the next book because I loved this one from the first chapter!
