Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for access to this digital arc!

This book was a rare laugh-out-loud rom com for me! Studious and proper Amelia Collins is working herself to the bone as an accountant looking to make partner at her firm, when a chance encounter with quirky but handsome Reginald leaves her with the worst (best?) idea. She needs a fake date to her family member's upcoming wedding, and who better to ask than the stranger who says he "owes her one" after their timely meeting. A fake date will keep her family off her back, without her having to actually invest her already limited time on finding a real date.

Of course, these ruses are never so cut and dry. The more time Amelia spends with the often aloof, but funny and caring Reggie, the more she thinks she might want something real. The only problem? Reggie is a 300 year old vampire, and Amelia thinks he is joking when he reveals this. Oh yeah, and there is a group of "vigilante" vampires on his trail for a crime they suspect he committed 150 years ago.

10/10 conclusion to the story when we see Amelia use her accountant skills to bring down said vigilantes and secure her happy ending!

I wanted to love this book so much, but the romance was not convincing for me. I loved the first book, so I was so excited!
It was still a fun read and Reginald was/is my favorite and I loved having him as the main character. I wish there was more banter and more drama surrounding Amelia finding out that he is a vampire. As others have mentioned, the ending was a bit anticlimactic but I will still recommend this book to people who want a fun supernatural romance.

I had the best time reading My Vampire Plus-One! It’s the sequel to my favorite book of last year My Roommate is a Vampire!

I was one of many fans begging for a story for our crazy 200+ year old boy Reggie and omg Jenna did not disappoint 🙌🏽 this book is so. much. fun. It’s fake dating- need I say more? 😏 the chemistry between Amelia and Reggie was absolutely amazing. But one of my favorite parts was getting to see my beloved Frederick and Cassie again. It felt like seeing old friends in the best way 💞

My Vampire Plus-One is out September 17th! Preorder it, besties!

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was the perfect little book to get me out a romance slump. It was everything I wanted in a paranormal romance and I was so obsessed with this 300 year old vampire. Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes quirky and fun vampire books.

This was such a fun read! Loved the main character and couldn't put it down. A delightful page-turner.

Was happy to see a sequel to the quirky and cute vampire romance novel “My Roommate is a Vampire” by @jennalevine, who’s got a great sense of humor and imagination. Super cute story of Reginald Cleaves aka “Reggie” and the understated, unsuspecting sexy accountant Amelia. I knew what to expect with the previous story - camp, laughs, and cheesy romance. This was cute and definitely got a few laughs. I think though that the Reggie of the first book was a little funnier and I wish there was a little more explanation or introduction to him in this book that doesn’t rely on book one knowledge.

Starts with a cute meet-cute and a good story about getting out of your shell (Amelia) and learning to be more than just a shell (Reggie). It’s definitely a must-read-first-book type of read, but still cute and a Vampire Book Bae that knows how to defend his woman, while letting her be a smart accounting boss lady…sounds weird to write that plot line but worth a read.

Thanks to #netgalley and #berkeleypublishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I think I liked this even more than the first one! Reginald was a really fun character in the first one and I loved seeing his character more in the second! The fake dating was super cute and I enjoyed it more that I thought I would, and you get to see a bit of what happens to Cassie and Fredrick which I loved as well!

My Vampire Plus-One follows Frederick's best friend, Reggie, and his love interest, Amelia. Reggie and Amelia meet one night after Reggie accidentally bumps into her on the street. Amelia is an accountant who has been unlucky in love. Determined to get her family off her back about dating, she approaches the man she bumped into one night and asks if he would be her fake boyfriend. Reggie accepts this new role with excitement and the two embark on a journey full of funky outfits, cold climates, and vampires with a vendetta. This is a great follow-up to My Roommate is a Vampire.

In the second book of this paranormal romance series, Reginald the vampire literally runs into Amelia, an accountant who has given up on dating. Amelia desperately needs a date to a family wedding and Reginald made quite an impression and owes her a favor. The two strike up a plan to fake date each other for the wedding.

This book was such a fun escape! It’s cute and funny with a bit of spice and cameos from returning characters (so I recommend reading the books in order). Reginald is just the best character- he’s quirky, hilarious, sweet, and I imagine his sense of style is like Ken’s in the Barbie movie. Fake dating is the best rom com trope because it is so outlandish but entertaining for the reader, and it’s no exception here! You will have a great time reading this series just in time for Halloween.

Thank you so much to Jenna Levine and Berkley Romance for the opportunity to be an early reader and reviewer and my copy of this ebook.

4.5⭐️

Idk what Levine put in this book, but it was such a fun and bingeable read. My first ever vampire romance, and I was not disappointed. Definitely the perfect book to read for the upcoming spooky season. 🧛

Reggie was such an incredible character. I’ll admit that I was unsure about him at first, but I quickly grew to love him. I really enjoyed getting to learn more about his history of being a vampire and how that shaped him. Not only did I enjoy that aspect of Reggie’s story, but I also highly enjoyed getting to watch him fall in love with a human when he least expected it. He was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful towards Amelia. While I did love Reggie’s character more than Amelia, I still liked getting to see the different parts of her life including her job and family. I just felt like her character didn’t have a ton of depth, so I wasn’t able to relate to her a ton. However, her story was still highly enjoyable, and I don’t think there was a single time that I was bored while reading this book.

It also helped me to get out of the tiny slump I felt coming on, so that says something. 🤭 The first book I’ve read in a while that actually had me excited to read!!!

I’ll without a doubt be picking up My Roomate is a Vampire this fall because I need more of Frederick and Cassie’s story (yes I didn’t read them in order oops🙊).

Read if you like:
- Vampire romance
- Forced proximity
- Fake dating
- Acts of service

Book 1 of this series (My Roommate is a Vampire) got me into a vampire read kick. Definitely recommended to read these books in order, but they are so fun you will binge them both as quickly as possible. Book two even has some Twilight references!

Highly recommend if you are a former Twilight fan or if you are in need of some vampire romances in your life!!

This book was truly amazing! I rarely laugh out loud while I read, but this one made me in stitches. It also had a lovely romance that I could root for. I’m planning on buying this as a Christmas gift for my friends.

I read Levine's, My Roomate is a Vampire, last October with my book club and Reginald was a fan favourite amongst the group so having the chance to read his own journey was a welcomed treat. These books are written so well and Reginald is the best MC for this kind of book. He is so himself and I think that a character like Reg can be either done so awfully or so well but Levine made him the best version of himself. Really though, in any other books I feel like Reginald's character would be so cringey but Levine really leans into it and leaves no crumbs. SO SO SO GOOD!

I am absolutely obsessed with this book. There was so many laugh out loud hilarious moments. I was cracking up with Reginald thinking Amelia was aware he was a vampire. These two were so cute together and I loved seeing feelings actually develop. This was a fun and easy read.

An absolutely fun, frothy paranormal romance. Is this idiots to lovers? Because I found out hilarious that Amelia had absolutely no idea that Reggie was a vampire despite him telling her. I loved the different tropes that were employed - only one bed, snowed in, fake dating, the works. This helped reignite my joy of reading!

My Vampire Plus-One brings Reginald Cleaves back into the dating scene after he meets Amelie accidentally on the streets. It’s not convenient when Reginald is trying his best to escape from old foes who are trying to locate him again. But he always keeps an eye out whenever he sees an attractive accountant. He can spot them a mile away.

Amelie finds it a bit strange when she meets Reginald out of nowhere on the streets. It’s a bit convenient when she needs his help in a family situation. Amelie family is a bit obsessed with her dating life; aka, she has no dating life. She is more focused on her work. She loves working with numbers, so it makes sense for her to be an accountant. Yet, she still needs to find a fake date so her family stops bothering her nonstop. That’s where Reginald comes into mind.

What I liked about this book was how fast-paced it started. It never started off slowly. It was right off the bat, with them meeting each other again and again. It builds up their fake relationship together, even though they are different from each other. She is human, and he is a vampire. And it’s a bit funny that he told her off the bat when they started fake dating that he was a vampire, which she never believed. That scene still makes me laugh so much.

I love how lighthearted My Vampire Plus-One was. It felt like an easy paranormal romance read. There is nothing too serious or too emotional to worry about when you read romance books. It’s just an easy rom-com read, which I love to do every now and then.

If you love reading about a cheesy paranormal romance book with fake dating and forced proximity tropes, then you will enjoy reading this one.

Thank you Berkley romance for the gifted eARC!

This was a great read!

I loved Reginald in My Roommate is a Vampire so I was super excited to read this book with him as one of the MCs!
It did not disappoint! It had everything I enjoy reading in a book. Reginald and Amelia were amazing characters. They had an amazing vibe and they had an electric chemistry between them. I really enjoyed following their journey throughout the story. I was hooked the entire time!

This is definitely a must-read book!

I liked it. It wasn't as good as My Roommate is A Vampire, but it was entertaining and I did like the plot and all its characters. The slow burn was done really well and their sexual chemistry was off the hook, and the comedic lines were great. This is proof that Vampire rom-coms are all the rage rn. I would recommend it.
