I really enjoyed No One Will Know by Rose Carlyle! This suspense is mostly set on an island off the coast of Hobart in Tasmania, Australia. I loved the remote setting and that added to the many questions I'd this book.

They’re the perfect couple. They have the perfect plan. All they need is the perfect victim.

That line had me hooked when reading the synopsis of No One Will Know. This book had a few great twists and I was close on my guess of the twists! I don't want to give too much away, but I thought this was well-written and while the characters were kinda unlikeable, they were exactly what this book needed. Plus the ending!

I read this pretty quickly and would recommend it!

Thanks to William Morrow for my copy! No One Will Know came out on Tuesday - October 1st.

Giving popcorn thrill Queen Freida McFadden a run for her money, this book was bonkers. In the first couple chapters, a young woman meets the love of her life. He's killed in a tragic accident and she ends up pregnant. His family rejects her.

Then things really get out-there with a mid book POV switch, gecko trafficking, baby stealing, fake silicone baby bumps, and plenty of lies and gaslighting.

No One Will Know is a different kind of thriller that will leave you thinking...would anyone know if I went missing? Most of us having someone that would know if we went missing , however, Eve Sylvester has no one that would notice if she went missing. She has no family and the one person she loved is now gone. As a fan of suspenseful thrillers, I found this story to be a twisted journey into desperation, manipulation, and the dark side of wealth. You won't be able to put this book down and will wonder just how twisted can it get.

This is a story of an unwed mother that just wanted the best for her unborn child. She decides to let another couple raise her baby. She is to be the baby’s nanny so she gets to see her baby every day. So many twists and turns that kept me reading every day. It seemed like just a regular story…but then all hell broke loose and the truth comes out. How the adopted parents aren’t nice afterall. I got to read for free thru #Scene of the Crime Early Read Program. It was not disappointing and what you think happened is far from the truth.

Titanic meets Rumpelstiltskin

Reeling from the sudden tragic death of her fiancee, Eve is left without any means to support herself. When she learns she is pregnant, she desperately needs to find a way to provide for her baby. As luck would have it, she meets a woman who works for a wealthy couple looking for a nanny. They are also willing let her live on their island with her child. Is the job offer too good to be true?

Better late than never! I have the ARC of this book and had such a difficult time finishing it. I really enjoyed Carlyle’s debut thriller so I was really excited for this one.

The first half of the plot is really implausible, ridiculous, and difficult to believe. I couldn’t get invested in any of the characters and had no idea where the plot was headed. The structure is also strange because there is such a jump in time between sections. The second half is faster paced and contains twist after twist after twist. Usually, I enjoy lots of surprises in my thrillers but these just felt inauthentic and gratuitous.

Please explain how a six year old boy is able to successfully drive a yacht by himself after one lesson? I just couldn’t buy it.

The book contains very similar plot elements as Carlyle’s first book (babies, yachts, and wealthy families) but just wasn’t as successful.

2.5/5 stars rounded up for the slightly better second half

Trigger warning: child trafficking

Expected publication date: 10/1/24

Thank you to NetGalley and William Morrow publishing for the ARC of No One Will Know in exchange for an honest review.

I love dark and twisty. This had so much potential. I loved where the story was going at first, but as things started to unravel (namely Julia’s backstory), I found myself losing interest. The “twist” revealed in the epilogue was a little confusing and felt forced. Overall it was OK, but it could have been a lot better.

Good lord this book is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was immersed in this book from the first page until the last. I couldn't stop reading it until the end. Rose Carlyle is a mastermind genius and I can't wait to read her future books.

4.5 ⭐- This was a really fun thriller/mystery and it had a lot of psychological elements involved too. My mama heartstrings were being pulled and my blood was boiling. It was hard to read at times because I truly became so upset for the main character, Eve. At times the story went felt a little overboard and jumps through time, but it didn't take away from the story. This was a very fast paced book and I didn't want to put it down.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to review. All opinions are my own.

Eve is living a wonderful life with new partner Xander. When she finds herself alone and pregnant, Xander’s family views Eve’s revelations with skepticism and wants nothing to do with her. Xander’s mother “pretends to be a member of some Australian aristocracy” and does not see Eve as belonging. Somewhat desperate, Eve becomes an easy target of a wealthy couple looking to hire her as a nanny for their soon to be born child and they are not put off by her pregnancy, in fact, declare that the two children can be raised together and become friends. So off she goes to live on an island in Tasmania.

Things are not all as she expects and the questions start to arise as to who these people really are and what they are up to. The book is somewhat suspenseful but, in many cases, feels contrived and not very believable. Still, it was a quick read with a satisfying conclusion.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advance copy.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #WilliamMorrow for the book #NoOneWillKnow by #RoseCarlyle. Julia and Christopher are not good people. They set out to find the perfect person, Eve, to hire to be a nanny. Eve is also pregnant and excited about her new job. She starts noticing strange things and wonders if she made the right decision. Is it too late to back out?

Thank you, Netgalley, Rose Carlyle, and William Morrow for the ebook. This was a complicated story of the loss of love but also the gifts given in those dark times. This book took turns. I definitely didn't see it coming, and the ending will have you shaken!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If any book should be adapted into a movie, it would probably be this one. I was immediately addicted to this book because of how much I thought that I was going to be able to predict when it came to the plot twists. It was almost unpredictable. Because when you think you know the full story, the book begins to shock you left and right. The plot of this book was spectacular, and the characters were unpredictable. I loved the POV switch toward the end of the book because you get insight into why the characters are doing what they’re doing and then everything starts to make sense. If you want to be on a roller coaster of thrills this is the perfect creepy book to read during October!

Thank you to the publisher William Morrow Books & author Rose Carlyle for this amazing ARC that I was so gracefully presented via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This was a wild thriller. I thought I had it figured out towards the beginning but my predictions were incorrect. I really enjoyed the many layers there were to this story, it kept my interest throughout.

I enjoyed the authors first book and I was excited to see what she came up with this time, it was just a bizarre as the first! I do think the ending was a bit rushed but overall that did not take away from my enjoyment. Look forward to her next book!

Eve is suffering the sudden loss of her boyfriend while in her early weeks of pregnancy. Having no one to turn to and nowhere to go, she takes what seems to be the perfect job with the Hygates on their secluded property as live-in nanny. Upon arrival, she quickly begins to realize that all is not as it seems and the Hygates may not be telling the truth of their intentions.

This was quickly captivating, pulling the reader into the story and making us become sympathetic to Eve and her dire situation. While she was immediately likable and intriguing in her past and personality, she seemed a bit too naïve for her character. She either seemed highly intelligent or gullible and not seeing what was clearly obvious. Without going into detail, this is a story that those who cannot suspend disbelief may not exactly enjoy this one. With that aside, this was otherwise thrilling and shocking in its' reveals. The seclusion and isolation was conveyed brilliantly and the story took turns that were unpredictable to say the least. The only complaint I had was that I felt that the Epilogue could have been left out. Three and a half stars.

Thank you, Netgalley and William Morrow for this ARC.

This is a fast twisty read. Right from the start, the perfect couple and the perfect job seem suspicious and only gets more so as the book goes on. I enjoyed this read, even though it wasn't very believable to me, once i got past that, I enjoyed it for what it was. I really prefer more realistic storylines and characters

This book was amazing! Eve has dealt with tragedy but her luck turns around when he is offered a nannying job for a wealthy family on a private island. Once she gets there, not all is what was expected. This book kept my attention the entire time and had some crazy twists and turns! Highly recommend!

I was so eager to start No One Will Know Rose Carlyle!
I am a huge fan of Rose Carlyle. Her first novel The Girl in the Mirror was freaking phenomenal so I was way too excited to start her newest title.

A fantastic and twisty psychological thriller that had me completely spellbound!
What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously.
I enjoyed the writing style, which was provided just enough detail about the characters to grab and hold my attention.

A compelling, seductive novel of suspense that shows the terrible consequences of shocking greed, staggering lies, and fatal mistakes.

Thank You NetGalley and William Morrow Paperbacks for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

This book is such a good “take you on a ride down a spiraling hill thriller”. The authors writing really had me sucked in from the start. I really enjoyed the story as a whole; the heartbreak; the violence and the mystery. Nothing is ever as it seems and this book is the perfect example of that!
