How does one musical prodigy and a duke come together?
Marina is a famous architects daughter, and heiress and musically talented. She is tainted in society for displaying her talent at party with zest and passion and her vicious rivals the Moorcrofts.
Brook, second son now Duke, wants nothing to do with his family legacy. Ignored by his family for most of his life he has no connection to his home or his only surviving family his mother. All he wants is to tour the continent. All his mother wants is to secure the ducal line.
A house party ensues where Brook and Marina meet each other. The attraction, friendship and emotions build. They decide to pursue a fake engagement but the line between fake and real starts to merge.
A light read that traverses societal norms and classes and leads to a hea.

Very enjoyable. Light and fast paced.
Historical romance featuring inspiring, intelligent lead characters. I love how the author weaved music throughout.
I highly recommend this romance and look forward to exploring more of this author's books!
Advance digital copy provided by NetGalley. Thank you!

I don't read many regency's anymore but this was a sweet story. She wants to just love her music and the Duke just wants his freedom.... or so they think. House parties really bring people together.

How the Wallflower Wins a Duke
This is my first book by this author and what a delightful find! I have been in a reading slump and this book helped me get over it.
The protagonists and the supporting characters kept the story interesting. Brook is witty, charming, and noble. Marina’s ambition about her music and future were a little unconventional for the times and the pacing of the story kept this book from being 5 stars.
Thank you to the publisher for providing the ARC.
