This was a very enjoyable book to listen to on a long car trip! I found it kept my interest, I cared about the characters, and I was able to follow the story easily. I thought the author struck a really good balance between the secrets and miscommunications that usually dominate Amish fiction and the building of good solid relationships based on communication and trust. I loved the supernatural element of this book and that no one really tried to explain it; it just was. This was a very uplifting story of the power of God and its ability to heal, restore, and bind people together.
