Safe by the Marshal's Side was a good read, but because of the way it started (with the heroine already under protection), I felt like I almost missed a big chunk of the story. I get why it was written that way, but it stopped me from feeling connected to the book right away.

I liked the characters and the bits of danger in the book. I also liked how they held off on the romance until he was done protecting her as the witness.

All in all, Safe by the Marshal's Side was a fine read. It moved at a pretty fast pace, which was great.
