I liked Bure's first book, but this one left me a little flat. Mostly because you honestly can't do it all, and you do women (especially Christian women) a disservice when you imply that you can. The overall message about relying on God is a good one and will appeal.

This is part memoir, part lifestyle book, aimed to inspire you to work hard, juggle your priorities in balance - and to recognize that you can not have it together until you do not lean into God!

I love that the authoress is warm, approachable and funny. And, obviously - her life is purposeful (in many areas!). I admit that I would have not thought that an American/Hollywood actress could lead such and down-to-earth life and would feel so authentic. My bad!

Yet, while this book contains many real life moments and there are some great topics covered (like how important is to look for fun and joy in your life), there is also not very much of unique, specific advice. I love how the authoress is able to bring peace into the situations and to recognize that every one has their unique way and has to decide for themselves and the good of their family - yet I am missing the other side of the coin: precisely the concrete advice. I recognize that one needs to look for it in the reality of their life and to pray for it - but couldn´t there be more tips and tricks? :)

I would also love to see the authoress husband Val´s side of things - maybe they could co-author a book in the future?

fun and interesting memoir about an interesting tv personality.
If you enjoyed this actress in any of her roles and want to know more, worth a read!

I wanted to like this one. I am a sucker for autobiographies of celebrities, or just books written by the celebrity talking about whatever crosses their minds. When Candace Cameron Bure would write about her life, I was transfixed - I loved hearing the stories of her being on the Full House set, her being with her family, or even how her and her husband would make a big decision. Going into reading this book, I knew that she was very very religious, and I did not hold that against her. I could easily skip the parts of the story where she discussed religion in such detail. What I could not get past though were the parts where she began to preach to me on how I should live my life. That's great if it works for you, but to go on for pages about a Bible verse and how I should start doing X,Y and Z to live that way - well now you lost me.

I appreciate books by Candace Cameron Bure. Though she is an actress, she seems to be on a more personal level with "regular" people. I appreciate and enjoyed this latest book by Bure.

I read about half of this book, but it was a bit difficult to relate to or finding entertaining. I stopped reading so I don't have to give it a low rating.

I enjoyed Candice’s conversational style and the insights that she shared throughout this book. I found her childhood to be very interesting because I thought most child stars were probably pushed into acting by their parents. The fact that her parents didn’t want her or their other children to enter this line of work, but then decided to give them a choice, felt like a better way to go. I also erroneously thought that by her early teens, she was probably into the Hollywood drug and party scene that so many young stars seem to fall into. I was pleasantly surprised that she wasn’t, and I have to say, I was thrilled that this did not have elements of a “wild girl tells all” about it.

In the book, Candice shares that while her mother grew up attending church, her father did not, and he did not want religion to be a part of his family’s life. When her parents went through a period of separating , her father finally decided to go to church. Her parents then got back together. It’s evident that Christianity became a very important part of their life.

It seems as if her life has been about balancing a great deal more than I have ever had to, so she comes from a place of experience in sharing her views with the the public. The title fits the book perfectly because she is a big proponent of juggling all the things that come along with a careful balance that ensures her life is well rounded. I appreciate the main point that she makes over and over again—keeping Jesus at the top of her priority list lets everything fall into place.

This was definitely a four star book for me.
