A great cookbook with many great recipes which I can and will try out. I am always looking for new recipes to use up my jar off tahini and think this cookbook will help me with that dilemma.

There are recipes for every meal and every occasion in this book and I think it will soon become my go to for Sesame recipes. I do love a good cookbook that basis it's recipes on one main ingredient as then it makes my life easy when I need to find a certain recipe.

Great book and one I will use and recommend to all my friends.

If you love or even just like sesame then this is the book for you! Way beyond just hummus and tahini and seeds this book brings those into so many more ideas. I can't wait to try some of the breakfast foods, dinners and deserts!

Amazing cookbook with a lot of original recipes. I am definitely planning on using it for my cookbook group. I think it will make a lot of our patrons happy. Thanks for the opportunity to review such an interesting cookbook.

Open Sesame includes 45 recipes for morning meals, party snacks, mains and sides, and sweet things featuring sesame including sesame seeds, sesame oil, and tahini. Every recipe includes an introduction, an ingredient list, and numbered directions. Most of the recipes include a photo, so it is easy to see what the dish looks like and if you want to make it. All the recipes require making everything from scratch, such as dressings and sauces, so I do not recommend the cookbook for beginners. With that said, there are some recipes I would like to try including the Roasted Strawberry Toast with Goat Cheese and Tahini, Tahini Feta Queso, Cold Sesame Soba with Summer Veg, and the Black Sesame Date Shoothie. If you like the flavor of sesame, this cookbook is definitely for you.

I was so excited to be granted access to this book so thank you Netgalley and Sasquatch books. I am a relative newcomer to Tahini and have found it difficult to find one I love so the tips on the best Tahini are invaluable. The recipes are fun and innovative….Tahini Banoffee Pie, Sesame crusted Waffles with Tahini and Maple. I can’t wait to try several things….Black Sesame Date Shoothie, Crisp Sesame Seed Brittle, Tahini Sour Cream and Carmelized Onion Dip. While not a vegan/vegetarian cookbook, many of the recipes are vegetarian or could be modified to be vegetarian or even vegan. Most of the recipes have a photo, which is essential for me. Great unusual cookbook!

This was a fun cook book! I loved the colors and the layout of it.
I loved learning more ways to use sesame as I am watching my sodium content. There are a variety of recipes that are easy to follow. I loved seeing pictures of the creations; It helps me know what I am aiming for.

Open Sesame focuses on all meals sesame from sweet to savory of all cuisines. The cookbook is very colorful and playful which is very pleasant to the eye.

Most recipes consists of a Three to four page spread. On most recipes there are a page for a beautiful photo of the dish and another for the name of the dish with a blurb about it. The other one to two pages are serving sizes, ingredients, and directions. Also any notes or tips which might be needed. There are so many recipes I am excited to try.

Oh my! The author has tips to choose the best tahini - I had no idea any brad was different from another. She also has really good and unique ideas for how to use tahini. As someone who loves sesame flavor in her food this book is awesome. At the top of my list to make is the savory snack mix!
